  1. Whoa. Didn’t know the Daboll connections. That even bumps it up. Your exactly right. We inly need a guy for 4-6 games I feel.
  2. Lol. sure. The 1st Round QB being groomed. but with the absences of Eric Wood, Tyrod Taylor and now I’m thinking K. Williams...the lack of leadership on this team along with a new OC im not expecting much from 2018 team in the way of wins/loses. if anything 2018 will be a better statistical team with the Rookie QB showing flashes and finishing strong but the record probably 5-11 or 6-10 Need a vet. Look at the Browns. They tried for Alex Smith and now secured Taylor for their Rookie to sit under. No Rookie should have to only lean on Nate Peterman.
  3. All this talk of McCarron, Bridgewater, Keenum Foles, Bradford...doesn’t really interest me. Frankly I don’t want to have a QB who is costly or overly capable. its the Over capability potential of one of those guys that would keep the team in the playoff hunt but the Rookie off the field. but with Matt Moore...lots of potential. 1.) Moore and Beane go way back. 3 seasons together in Carolina. Solid trust? 2.) Moore is a UCLA alum...Rosen would be a UCLA alum. Makes for a happy QB room. 3.) Moore isn’t very expensive. Where as the others are and Foles is both financially and draft capital expensive. 4.) Moore isn’t overly good im looking for a QB who can slowly lead the team to a mid season / 3 quRter of the season win/loss record where then it will be First Round QB pick time. Matt Moore’s skill set, veteran leadership, and past relationships make him a perfect candidate for this bridge QB position.
  4. Tyrod takes his place in the Hall of Great Guy Limited QB. He joins a number of those lately from AVP, Fitz, EJ and now Tyrod. funny how often we get that type of QB isn’t it
  5. I think Hue Jackson and Browns telegraphed wanting a Vet QB. By saying they wanted one 1 Vet and 2 young QBs in QB room and then putting in an offer for Alex Smith. seems they are likely locked to draft Darnold or Allen and sit them for one season. and when you break down bridgewatwr, Keenum etc...Taylor was what seemed cheapest and easily removable in Year 2 of Darnold or whoever
  6. This is just great news for Bills. Browns were the perfect team to want Taylor glad both sides were able to reach agreement.
  7. Bills fans probably don’t talk about it because no one saw. i was at that game sitting in the scoreboard endzone and recall needing binoculars to see the nearest fans sitting next to us. ?. It was barren. looking it up just now the attendance was only listed at 55,000. Rich Stadiuk sat how many then? 69,000? 70,000? so it was pretty empty and I can’t imagine it was on tv and for the few people who came they probably left at 0-26. since being at the Oilers comeback I decided to stay and glad I did.
  8. 1998 - 49ers 3-0 vs. Bills 0-3 i recall sittIng in the end zone and EVERYONE thinking the 49ers would roll the Bills and then Rob Johnson hit Moulds on the first or second play with a BOMB. And that set the tone. And Buffalo won the game.
  9. They are always going to be flawed. Always. There will never be a QB prospect who after a 3 month tear down by Analysists, former scouts, Gms and every person with a YouTube access will not come out the other side and not be flawed in some way. and if by chance...there ever is a day a Non flawed QB prospect is in a draft you will need to be 1-15 or 0-16 to select him which no one wants to do. don’t be bad to get one. dont trade up to get one. sit and draft the 5th, 6th or even 7th QB off the board. dont draft any and then save your job by going 12-4.
  10. I don’t know many GM/Coaches who need a QB the minute they walk in the door and have the luxury to wait until Season 3 to draft one. The reaction to action vs. non-action. they don’t draft a QB - they better be good in 2018 and better be that non outlier QB team. they do draft a QB - they get more leeway on a mediocre season. It cushions them from the hot seat while they groom their QB.
  11. Darnold. if Allen touched it the glass would have shattered and traveled a great distance.
  12. The longer they wait the less of a chance they will even have the opportunity to make a decision. For a team that was worse in several categories in 2017 than it was in 2016 and still made the playoffs smacks to me of being a outlier. i would almost expect a better performing team with a more accurate record in 2018 6-10 or 7-9. ThT seems more likely than a 12-4 or 4-12 record. teams like the Bills who were 6th SeeD WC who got in on bounces and breaks and collapses from other teams in a league of parody I just do not have confidence in their sustainable susccess. if you pass on QB now and end up at 7-9 in 2018 then we are just right back in the same situation now. No QB and forced to trade up for a QB. But you will be having to decide if your 3rd year head coach should even get that opportunity. the only way passing on QB now works...is if Buffalo is a very good team in 2018. And with their odds of being very good in Vegas sit with teams like the browns and jets...I’m not very confident.
  13. It now falls in T. pegs to remind the GM/COACH that while they are new, the Owner is seasoned and the fans have been here forever And Terry and Bills Mafia have lived through enough GM/Coaches who didn’t value drafting QBs or wanted to prove thy could win without a QB. It might be their first time but this is not our first rodeo. They are not responsible for the past, but Terry should chirp in to make sure they do not repeat it and constantly remind them...”its the QB stupid!” And IMO if Beane and McDermott think they can pass this season and then expect to keep their jobs after a 3-13 season with the promise to finally draft one...eh.
  14. Can he win from the pocket? Beanes own words/question. Which one of these guys can consistently win from the pocket throwing in a potential phone booth? just tell me and that is who I want.
  15. Personally I just don’t see McCoy being a factor or even a member of this team when their real window could potentially open. now I could be wrong, the “process” could move way faster than I expect and Buffalo could be a serious contender annually by 2019 and at that point McCoy is 31. but if we roll a Rookie QB I would say the “window” won’t be until 2021 or 2022 which puts McCoys age at 33/34.
  16. If you look back from 2025 and said “wow we have a franchise QB and we are currently contending every season and all it took was giving up draft picks and LeSean McCoy”..you probably wouldn’t find too many people dissing the move when looking backx Problem is we are in the here and now and you just might find it impossible to get people onboard to it in the present.
  17. The idea for Taylor strictly came from Hue Jackson saying his ideal QB Room for 2018 would have 2 young QBs developing and 1 Veteran with playing experience. I think that is the reason Browns put in a bid for Alex Smith. the vet would play because the 1st Pick is probably Darnold or Allen who are the 2 QBs who they say need time. plus out of Keenum, Bradford, Bridgewater, McCarron, Taylor...Taylor on the 1 year deal might be cheapest?
  18. Since it’s late we can get a little nutty, but if Buffalo gets to 4...who is to say they don’t try or feel the need to get to 2 or 3 ala Bears in 2017? At that point Buffalo offering Cordy Glenn, Picks 4, 121 and 2019 2nd or 3rd Rounder to move from #4 to #2 or #3?
  19. Buffalo would then go from picks 21, 22, 53, 56, 96 to picks 4, 56, 96 and in essence the trade back with Kansas will have allowed you to secure your Franchise CB and Franchise QB both on Rookie deals for multiple seasons.
  20. My bad on the wording. if you are Cleveland does Drafting Darnold and trading the 4th pick to then have in total Sam Darnold and Picks 21, 22, 33, 35, 53, 64, 65 and Tyrod Taylor. Look good as opposed to Sam Darnold and picks 4, 33, 35, 64, 65
  21. Is it a lock Darnold or Allen are day 1 starters? I was under the assumption both of the QBs who are being talked about going first are not locks to start. cleveland put in an offer for Alex Smith which makes me believe they wanted a Vet to start because the QB they like the most will need some time to adapt to the NFL. so Taylor on a 1 year deal...while Allen sits or Darnold sits? Is that beyond possible to see when it was almost Alex Smith starting while Allen/Darnold sat?
