Around The League: NFL Week 6 (I think?)
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still haven't been able to figure why so many thought the Broncos game was a "big" win. I had that penciled a "W" back in the summer. I mean...Trevor Simian... in Buffalo! Those two factors were enough. Maybe because they just beat Dallas and that was before Dallas started losing? -

Just how many AFC teams are playing with QBs that are really one year place holders. And even if you wouldn't say place holders would those teams gladly switch them for a younger better option? Basically Jets, Dolphins, Bills, Browns, Jags, Broncos Then you got good QBs who are hurt Colts and Titans and Raiders Then you got QBs who have basically one foot out the door. Steelers, Chargers Your overrated but stuck with Ravens and Bengals Brady still rolling but Pats defense is bad. Whose left? Ageless Alex Smith and a Rookie in Texas. -

Yeah this year blows. Sorry but with the Golden Age of QBs nearing its end and the Union Rules cutting down on practice time Nfl football has been very difficult to watch. Just boring boring football. Especially in Buffalo. -
Donald Jones on bringing in new receivers....
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The show is at its best when Murph Presents the naive sports fan on the outside looking in philosophy and it's contrasted with Donald's modern player mentality. Case in point when they discuss Goodell, Celebrations, Player Motivation, Money. There was a good moment the other day when Murph couldn't believe a good player would get black balled by coaches and Donald was like "yeah it happens." Donald is really good at exposing that coaches and players are flawed humans who get influenced and act sometimes out of personal issues, ego and pride and not always what's "best for the team." It's like Donald is revealing to Murph Santa Clause isn't real. -
Bring in Stevie Johnson

Your asking a QB who they have had to limit the playbook and simplify the offense for with Accuracy and Height Issues to throw to a Old WR who makes up his own routes freewheeling like he's playing basketball? -
I know it's probably not the best thing to do but I just can't stop myself from allowing style of victory to play an impact and how I view a team if you were winning but your defense is scoring points or you were getting timely ref calls or an abundance of turnovers I don't really think that is a sustainable mode for winning over the long haul Buffalo sitting on six touchdowns in five games in one of those touchdowns was a deflection often say Jones hands into another guy sounds like that's a fluke so you're basically five legit touchdowns in five games with really no sign of it suddenly for improving

Opponents Records are irrelevant with this seasons Buffalo Bills and I will tell you why. The offense. It has shown nothing to make me believe that will ever jump out Huge early or "pull away" from an opponent late. The complete lack of this offense being able to score (6 TDs in 5 games) should always allow for the games to be close and any time you enter the 4th quarter within a few points...it's a 50/50 proposition My August predictions were @ Bengals - L Buccaneers - L Raiders - L @ Jets - W Saints - W @ Chargers - L @ Chiefs - L Patriots - L Colts - W Dolphins - W @ Patriots - L @ Dolphins - L As of today I would give the Bills now a SPLIT against Buccaneers and Raiders and WIN against Chargers So 9-7 now from my original.

Projecting wins a losses as of today
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have them ending with a better record this season than last and 3 more wins than I originally thought. That's self loathing? Please. -

Lol. Does that make me a traitor? Should I spirit my family to a safe zone? I have enough faith in Buffalo that I have given them 3 additional wins from where I originally predicted in August. I still feel they will split with Miami. Just due to the nature of the game of the parody of the league and location of game. -

But it was Jets who had everything to play for and Bills with Rex that were 7-8 and had nothing to play for and won. ? -

If they played this week sure. They play 3 months from now. -

You say that as if the Bills didn't do the same exact thing to the Jets only 2 seasons ago. -

The win against Atlanta has definitely readjusted the W/L. The style in which they won though hasn't altered the W/L that drastically. Original: So far so good. Jets - W @ Panthers - L Broncos - W @ Falcons - L @ Bengals - L Buccaneers - L Raiders - L @ Jets - W Saints - W @ Chargers - L @ Chiefs - L Patriots - L Colts - W Dolphins - W @ Patriots - L @ Dolphins - L 6-10 New/Adjusted: @ Bengals - W Buccaneers - L Raiders - L @ Jets - W Saints - W @ Chargers - W @ Chiefs - L Patriots - L Colts - W Dolphins - W @ Patriots - L @ Dolphins - L 9-7 -
Matt Ryan: "Bills Mafia is real"
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is Bills Mafia born from? Love of the Bills or lack of jobs in Buffalo forcing relocation? -
One and done and then done next season is sort of the projection for this team. No kyle, no marcel, no WRs, running on a half tank shady and maybe no Tyrod. This team needs to have one of those Kansas City Miami dolphins 9-7 10-6 seasons then you can get into the playoffs and just end that drought take your wildcard loss and then have to rebuild from there

This style of winning is not sustainable!
RalphWilson'sNewWar replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lol. I really wasn't trying to do that. But when picking games going forward...style of victory definitely plays a big factor into analyzing it out -

To be fair to those people...they are talking about championships.
