  1. Yeah, no idea what that means since we have Wilmer as the utility INF that can play all 4 positions. Was hoping for more out of Dom, but he struggled with hitting, and fielding. Strangely showed decent power which he wasn't known for.
  2. Read that he was told he would be playing "some" first, means, by the mid-way point of the first season he'll be our everyday first base throughout the contract's lifespan. Ken Rosenthal‏Verified account @Ken_Rosenthal FollowingFollowing @Ken_Rosenthal More Jay Bruce deal with #Mets is backloaded. Breakdown, per source: $10M this season, $14.5M in 2019, $14.5M in ‘20.

  4. Exactly., this is what you want in a player. It's what makes the great ones actually great.
  5. I agree with this for the most part, but, returners gotta use some imagination now.
  6. Don't worry, it'll be "Wembleeeyyyyy" sooner than later.
  7. Still think he has 18 year virgins locked in his basement, and drinks their blood. This grants him his powers, and the ability to continue to play at his age. You heard it here first.
  8. I don't think they'll ask him to take a pay cut or he'd be willing too. It's not like he is making that much. 2018 34 $2,450,000 $550,000 $400,000 - $3,400,000 $550,000 $2,850,000($6,400,000)
  9. The HC, and GM should be working in concert with one another. Which from my point of view they are.
  10. Eh, screw him. He got traded because he didn't buy in, or go all in with McD & Crew. You cannot have your highest paid player not buying in does not set a good example for the younger players, and goes against everything McDermott wants to a build a team around.
  11. Glenn, I like him as a player. But, I think McBeane likes their guy a lot in Dawkins. This is going to be an interesting off-season. I could see Glenn being packaged with a draft pick(s) to move up possibly. 2018 28 $9,250,000 $3,200,000 $2,000,000 $14,450,000 $11,100,000 $11,250,000($41,250,000) POTENTIAL OUT: 2019, 3 YR, $41,250,000; $6,400,000 DEAD CAP 2019 29 $7,250,000 $3,200,000 $2,000,000 $12,450,000 $6,400,000 $9,250,000($50,500,000) 2020 30 $7,500,000 $3,200,000 $2,000,000 $12,700,000 $3,200,000 $9,500,000($60,000,000)
  12. This might help. If the 49ers sign him to a non-exclusive tag the Bills in theory could negotiate with him, but if they offer him a deal the 49ers have the chance to match the offer. Types of NFL franchise tags Exclusive Just what the name implies. The player is locked into his team and cannot negotiate with any other team during the free agency period. Non-exclusive The player is allowed to negotiate with other teams, but if a competing team makes a free agent offer, the original team has the right to match it. If they don’t match the offer, they get two first-round picks in compensation. In other words, this is basically a convoluted trade scenario. Transition tag Similar to the non-exclusive tag, except the player gets paid an average of the top 10 salaries at his position, rather than top five. Transition-tagged players are free to negotiate with other teams, but unlike non-exclusive players, the original team gets no compensation if it fails to match an offer. Once a player gets tagged, that’s when the real drama begins. Both sides have until July 17 to negotiate a long-term contract. This ramps up the sense of urgency. Teams don’t want to use the tag because it ties up a huge chunk of their salary cap for just one year. The players don’t like it because they don’t have any financial security beyond that one year, and have almost no leverage outside of threatening to hold out. If they fail to agree to a long-term deal before the deadline, the player is set for his one-year contract. Fortunately for most players, they’re often able to secure a new contract with their team and the franchise tag doesn’t have to come into play — at least until the next offseason.
  13. Yup, he was. There was one play on the Jag's first offensive drive if it was Milano instead of Humber in coverage it was at least a batted pass, or an INT. Plus, he's not as slow as Humber or Alexander(had a really good game). Sucks, defense played well. Wrong, Carolina kept us to 3 points in week 2. Saints would've held us to 3 pts if it wasn't for a garbage time TD by Peterman with like 1:54 left on the clock when it was 47-3. That is 4 times in 17 games played. That's at 24% of the games we played with our 1st string offense we failed to put up a touchdown. Our offense sucked. Must feel nice to win, and congratulations. But, Bad Blake has reared his ugly head for 3 straight weeks. He cannot play like that against the Steelers or Pats if yo u guys are going to advance. Good luck.
  14. http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/cfb/77193/344/2018-nfl-mock-draft-no-1 21. Buffalo Bills - DL Vita Vea, Washington - Brute strength. Vea can halt and toss offensive linemen. Clogging the middle and allowing linebackers room to run is important in Sean McDermott’s defense, which brings me to… 22. Buffalo Bills (from KC) - LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama - I know Preston Brown posted a ton of tackles. I’m not calling him bad. But I’m saying that McDermott’s scheme, at its best, features linebackers with range and speed, both against the run and pass. Evans has that speed. With Lamar Jackson, and Mason Rudolph(I know some have him as a later round prospect, but there is a thread with some thinking he will be a late 1st) on the board still. I'd be annoyed with not using one draft pick in the first on a QB, unless they sign a guy like Cousins or plan on trading up in the second to nab Lamar or Mason if the chips fall this way. Not saying they will of course.
  15. Sometimes I wish they allowed him to go no holds barred, and say what he really wants.
  16. You're probably right, but having a QB that has substance abuse issues doesn't help and probably why I would rank it worse than the current QB situation as they will pick one at number one this draft.
  17. His defense was solid here. Still got torched by the run, but he had possibly the worst QB situation with Hoyer, and Manziel.
  18. Yup, they were saying what a joke McDermott was for doing so. Hell, I still have family members who are fans of the Jets/Giants that believe TT is still viable.
