  1. Any team will tell you they’d always rather have the home game though. It still matters .
  2. Kickers are a funny lot… when they’re not in the right headspace they can struggle and it’s hard to get it back. It’s definitely a problem as he’s hardly “Bass O Matic “ right now.
  3. Not surprising .. bad weather, reschedule, low star power opponent. Also a guaranteed home game next week vs KC if they win . Definitely won’t be a full stadium
  4. Exactly. Now a road team has won, which I like. You know each round there will be a road upset ; now that’s out of the way !
  5. Didn’t exactly happen for him overnight though
  6. I think those ARE essential , right ?
  7. I don’t think so, as the Steelers are the low seed and not hosting.
  8. The Bills playoff position wasn’t determined until the leagues final regular season game ended. The potential matchups / times were shown at halftime. Iirc , the Chiefs were playing on Saturday regardless (I believe NBC wanted Mahomes for their Peacock exclusive game ) and there was a scenario where the Bills were involved in that game. The Bills as the 2 seed were going to play Sunday after a Sunday nite game the previous week. That sounds about right. It was one more day rest vs the 3 seed with a Saturday game.
  9. You heard correctly, but that was related to the Damar Hamlin situation rather than some “ experiment “. More just a “ fair” solution to Buffalo if both the Chiefs and Bills qualified for the AFC title game. The Bills ( and Bengals) played one less game than KC, and the Bills had a head to head win over the Chiefs so this would only have taken place if that matchup materialized. As we all know, Buffalo was eliminated in the divisional round. At the time, the NFL did say that neutral site Championship games were probably happening down the road.
  10. Oh I agree, but it is still an advantage to play at home vs a neutral site. I’ve always thought that weather as an advantage is overrated.
  11. It sounds like the NY officials knew it is an advantage for the Bills to play at home in the playoffs ,and lobbied for the game to be rescheduled rather than played elsewhere.
  12. That’s not what was being considered though. It would have been Atlanta if they had changed the site.
  13. It appears the NFL actually wanted to move the game to Atlanta vs playing in a blizzard.
  14. So you’d prefer that Bills vs Steelers was moved to Atlanta instead of rescheduled ?
  15. There’s bad weather , then there’s dangerous weather.
  16. This is correct. The NFL would not play a game there, much less a playoff game.
