  1. Nothing ironic about it. The Bills put themselves in this spot by losing games to teams they shouldn’t - Pats, Denver , Jets. The Dolphins, up until their meltdown vs TEN had handled the lesser teams consistently. The Bills have a shot at the division now, but very little margin for error. The Fish have a tough schedule , but can afford a couple losses. Should be interesting down the stretch.
  2. Eh , no. Now, the mob would be out in full force calling for the offending player to be cut immediately etc. The coaching staff would also be skewered for allowing the players to be undisciplined- heck there would be calls for the GM to be fired. Uncalled penalties would also be a topic, but the penalty itself is plain as day. He may as well have been lined up alongside Miller. Easy call, and the great Mahomes had 3 more tries after the penalty to get a first down.
  3. Lol okay fair enough. Whatever approach we take as fans, the one thing that matters is that the Bills keep winning.
  4. Exactly. Since when does the opponent making errors in execution negatively impact your win ? It’s often the difference between victory and defeat.
  5. The fan base looking ahead at implications has absolutely zero impact on how the Bills perform vs Dallas on Sunday.
  6. How bad was it, though? The replay showed he had an open receiver in front of a defender. Now, Josh never saw the intercepting player lurking to the side and that’s definitely on him. Mahomes , on the other hand tried to complete a pass through Epenesa , who was right in his face. The ball was predictably batted up by AJ, who also came down with the INT. You probably won’t hear much about that play, though.
  7. No. Moving on….
  8. Usually they will .. IF the WR looks over at them to check. Toney never did this and was so far offside it was ridiculous. Had to be called , but if he looked over they likely would have let him know
  9. Not quite. The potential is there but it doesn’t look like the Bills will unite hold up their end of the deal. It’s worked out the way it has ( all games at KC) because the Bills and Chiefs finished in the same respective place in their divisions. It’s not looking too likely that the Chiefs and Bills will do this in 2023 ( it could still happen just doesn’t seem likely). That would currently mean the Bills wouldn’t play the Chiefs in 2024 and would get Denver instead. Still 4 games to go, so this could change.
  10. Hahahahaha, it wouldn’t surprise me.
  11. They’re both reprehensible acts.
  12. That would be a first this season. Miller should sit , if just based on his play alone.
  13. Araiza was a punter who never played a down in the NFL. He was on a rookie contract for a team that almost never punted. The definition of expendable.
  14. Mondays are film review of previous days game, Tuesdays off, Wed day one of gameplan installation/ practice
  15. The Bills skill positions aren’t as talented as SF’s. However, aside from a few self inflicted wounds and a lousy call they were easily in position to hang 40 on the PHL defense. The Bills D crumbled in crunch time rather than slammed the door on the Eagles. The Bills O may not be the Niners, but they’re more than talented enough.
  16. I mentioned Knox and Levy already. Ralph rarely opened up the wallet for a “ name brand” coach. He did with Knox and it was one of the few successful eras of the team under his ownership. Pegulas have had 2 hires and are 1-1 in that department. Perhaps they’d be successful with a new hire if they moved on from McD.
  17. To be fair though, most of those hires were made under the ownership of Ralph Wilson. He was notoriously cheap with coaching hires. He only opened up the wallet a couple times and not coincidentally had some success then with Knox and Marv. He was even too cheap to pay Saban.
  18. The Bills could luck into that too! Sucks that you need a QB injury to “luck into “ one of these types of WRs though.
  19. Missed XP was killer
  20. True, and the Bills scored what 37 with more left on the field. 9ers D didn’t give up TDs and kept the pedal down all game. That’s the difference
  21. Bills offense easily could have put up 40 + vs PHL. A couple missed FGs and dropped TD. It’s the Defense that threw up on themselves for a quarter and then OT.
  22. In the end, probably true. Still have a shot, but not beating the also-rans put them in bad shape.
  23. They were , but still should have won regardless.
  24. They don’t need a new scheme . Just someone calling the plays that has a feel for when to be aggressive in close games.
