Sure, but guess what ? It’s not changing back. The fact is only one team gets the bye. That’s a tough ask, and it obviously doesn’t mean the 1 seed will make the Super Bowl every year. Yes, this is the first year KC has reached the bowl without it - it’s also the only year they didn’t have it. The Bengals got there without it. They had a great chance to do it again with a late drive last season. The Ravens had it twice and lost both times. The # 1 seed would be a nice benefit , but it’s not a necessity. A perfect regular season simply isn’t required to reach the already difficult goal of a Super Bowl. This take is closest to the truth. The playoff games are usually close, and a few plays here and there are often the difference. The Bills have a pretty solid D and run a good system. They don’t have a lot of stars that make game changing plays vs top competition. They can’t afford to have their best players sidelined with injuries and haven’t been lucky in this regard. They need some better players on defense and probably another top WR.

Didn’t see much of last years game but I’d say it’s been many years. Probably close to a decade. Definitely some good ones then. Longer ago than I thought, but you’re probably right.

Lots of worrying about the 1 seed. It didn’t help the Ravens much. The Bills got KC in Orchard Park for the playoffs and still lost. San Francisco made it as the 1 seed, but they were on the ropes at 24-7 vs the Lions. The Bills don’t need to have a perfect regular season to make the Super Bowl. They don’t need some magic formula. They just need a bit of good luck with injuries and to be better than their opponents on the day they play them in the postseason. They haven’t done it thus far, and that’s about it.

Might be absolutely correct on Von’s performance. However, the Bills and McDermott have no choice but to keep Miller unless he’s suspended by the NFL. He’s not a cut candidate until after the ‘24 season.

No. The Bills had their chance and failed. Not a colossal blunder like 0:13, just plain old failure to execute. This version of KC is evenly matched with this years Bills, just took advantage of their opportunity. The game could easily have went either way in the final minutes. Thirteen seconds should just never happen.. ever.

I’m sure they would have been fine with Allen finally getting to the big show. NFL really didn’t need to have any “ fix” in for Lamar. He just doesn’t get it done in the playoffs because he’s easier to defend. There’s definitely a blueprint out for stopping Jackson that has been effective almost every time.

Nah, it’s still kind of early for all that. Manning was in what, his 9th season when he notched his first AFCCG win vs NE ? His other SB win was very late in his career, though he did defeat NE again en route.

More than likely. Some bad luck involved , but never trade with an in-Conference team that’s QB shopping. At least when you don’t have one of your own.

I’m not all that familiar with Campbell, but from the little I’ve seen he can be aggressive to a fault. His team seems to respond to his overall energy, but not taking points to build a lead costs him.

Josh will simply never win MVP due to bias /agendas on the part of voters dating back to his college/ draft time. It just is what it is. Laughably so, because he produced the most offense for his team. Objectively the best player on this short list.

Yes, a message board for our NFL team. I have no desire to watch 4 hours of blather about players I dislike - Mahomes, Kelce, the swifts etc etc. Last year it was two teams I hated so I caught the last few minutes of the 4th quarter just to see the score ( and the atrocious penalty at the end). I do kind of like SF, so maybe a little more of the 4th this time. If SF wins I’ll enjoy watching the postgame festivities. No need to watch programming that isn’t entertaining just because it’s the NFL.

Watched about 10 minutes total last year. This year I actually like one participant- San Francisco. Maybe catch some of the 4th quarter again. Just hate the Chiefs so it doesn’t hold much entertainment value. If they lose I’d like to see that ending.

Yep. They’re an older franchise than Buffalo and have had very little success over the decades. Definitely have a bit of a soft spot for them.
