  1. Nepotism, who you know, whatever you want to call it. It’s all good because that’s just how the freaking business world works. The NFL is part of that and then some. It really is a pretty insulated and exclusive group. The issue with Hackett is he’s living off his father’s name without actually having much success on his own. He’s just not a very good OC, much less an NFL head coach. No issue with hiring who you want , IF they’re actually good at the job.
  2. Seems more like an offseason type topic than an October thread for a team with Super Bowl aspirations.
  3. Not really. In the end likely the Colts and Pats, but there were other very good teams that just happened to fall to a couple truly elite teams. The overall quality of play was very good because there were many quality QBs. You will always have a couple superior quality QBs and a drop off after that. The current problem is that the drop off is huge. Throw in the league wide OL issue and there just aren’t many offenses playing at a high level. Regarding the OPs take, ever is a very long time. As others have pointed out there have been bad years every couple decades or so.
  4. Simple as that. Connections and networking ; it’s how the world works. That’s fine , but in the case of Hackett he’s just not very good at what he does.
  5. Couldn’t disagree more. Maybe that’s what the left was in the past but they’re just off the deep end now. In short- they are who they say they are! Much much worse than the right. Im an Atheist - I don’t care one iota about religion and never have. Not sure what “ conspiracies “ you’re referring to but the left is seemingly obsessed with Russiagate, Donald Trump and some unidentifiable “ threat to our democracy “. How is the left in its current state infinitely better ? I ask this as someone who actually has voted for Democrats in the past. Their policies are just unbelievably awful. Not one redeeming quality.
  6. I think Bills fans would like McKenzie to play well. It’s just difficult to get past the vaguely unsettling feeling that his next play could spell disaster. He’s shown some ability to make big plays but has just as many or more negative ones. As a player McKenzie is a contradiction.
  7. It is. Don’t believe they’ve worn that combo this season.
  8. I didn’t listen to the song , but I read the lyrics. Doesn’t seem like much here that liberals would agree with. Jmo. You’re probably right about it being barely music though. I’m not a country fan either.
  9. Mine comes from a Jimmy Buffett song. I may live in WNY, but my heart/ mind is always in the tropics. The tunes lyrics pretty much sum it up!
  10. I believe they can practice. Not sure if it was during McDs time ,but I recall a couple practices and then reports that the players set off on their various travels for the bye week.
  11. Didn’t they always say tipped balls mean the OL is allowing DLs to get too close to the QB? I think I heard that a lot during the Flutie years.
  12. Seemed like a make up call to me. Most of the calls that crew made were weak and a few egregious no calls to boot. They were brutal
  13. All about the co$t. Pegula’s are cheap!
  14. Isn’t GB already a SNF game? As for flex candidates I’d look to Pats or Dolphins games.
  15. Agreed , both pretty weak calls.
  16. I think he could still do it, but the weather in OP - with much of our home schedule yet to play - will be a limiting factor for sure.
  17. It has its risks , but I think it’s reserved for huge games like this or playoffs. Basically win at all costs moments , they / he feels it’s worth the risk.
  18. If it was that easy, every team would be shutting down/ limiting Kielce. It’s just not. That’s why he’s a great TE.
  19. Pretty sure the Bills jammed him at the line and got flagged for it ( bad call but still )
  20. KC just freed up some cap space by reworking Kelce’s deal. Hmmmm could that be for OBJ? I don’t see them being interested in McCaffrey
  21. Hmmm, interesting. I love Ian Eagle, he brings a big game excitement with his emphatic play by play style. Not a huge fan of his partner Davis, but Eagle is my favorite. I’ve warmed up to Nantz lately though; was never a big fan but he’s been a pleasant surprise on Bills games.
  22. Probably confused by Nance’s mustard.
  23. Hmmm… Belichick style pickup.
  24. Would never happen even with a dome … not enough hotel space for starters.
