Yes , it would be officially over as far as being a serious championship contender. Realistically, it may already be at that point. If they don’t beat the Browns , and handily at that Bills fans can start looking to a change filled offseason and the draft. It’s far from a given that they’ll beat the Browns as Allen has lost his mojo and might be a two year wonder. I hope he proves me wrong.

On to Minnesota (get this game in the rear view mirror!)

Drops and inconsistent play will do that to a QB. Bad habits can creep back into his game. Have to give him a realistic option in the slot; Crowder’s been out and McKenzie is just too unreliable. Bottom line : someone other than Diggs needs to step up. Maybe Shakir , possibly Hines could fill that role at times. They may need OBJ - if healthy of course. -
Did the Jets Have a Competitive Advantage?

Nah. Bills were outcoached, outworked and Josh was average for much of the game. All that = a Bills loss. 4 or 5 plays made the difference. -
Coaching Staff has to take a huge blame for yesterday

Again I’m not certain. McKenzie has been unreliable and Davis has dropped passes. He did go to Davis on the final offensive play though, and Davis failed to come up with the catch. Maybe, but not likely. It didn’t seem like Dorsey went to any kind of a quick game to get the ball out fast. The players run the plays that are called by the OC, and it didn’t look like they changed their approach in the 2nd half. -

Sure, those things happen from time to time but the Bills best chance to reach the Super Bowl will be a first round bye and two home games to advance. Anything less than a Super Bowl championship is a failure for the 2022 Bills -

I don’t know, but it’s certainly a valid question. What they were doing wasn’t working well particularly in the second half. Seems like Dorsey should have changed a few things. -

The NYJ had their mediocre QB get rid of the ball almost immediately. Tackling by the Bills D was awful. -

Allen sitting for 4 weeks would absolutely be terrible news. You could pretty much kiss a realistic chance to reach the Super Bowl goodbye. -
This is true of many teams. What are the Chiefs without Mahomes and Kelce? A fairly average NFL team.
-
Look , while those things are true the teams you mentioned found a way to win those games. There’s something to be said for that. If the Bills had pulled out a final drive and gotten a stop on D to win there would be a vastly different perception right now. The absolute worst thing about the Bills right now is Josh has looked more like 2019 Josh than the last 2 seasons version for a game and a half. The team is only going to be as good as Allen performs. It looks concerning right now because a 6-2 start means nothing in the remaining games.

Josh Allen's waning confidence and mental yips
Boatdrinks replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably not 9 straight. They may lose a few in a row with the way Josh is playing right now, though. That could very well be enough to affect their playoff seeding greatly. In a season like this that’s really all that matters. The AFCE looks tougher than it did after last season. After another division loss and staring at a 7-1 Vikings team , the feeling is their season is at a crossroads. -

Josh Allen's waning confidence and mental yips
Boatdrinks replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
Plenty of confidence, too many poor decisions / mental errors. He’d better get it cleaned up quickly because he’s the bellwether of this team overall.
