  1. Was Mahomes a can't miss pick? if so why wasn't every team maneuvering to get the # 1 pick to take him? If Reaid felt that way why didn't he?
  2. No they didn’t. You want to continue to make a point that is not necessarily valid. You assume Allen will not be as good as Mahomes based on one season. And you continue to indict our guys but ignore that every other team in the league could have drafted Mahomes. Do you indict them all as well?
  3. Your take is flawed. One could easily say every team in the NFL made a terrible mistake not drafting Tom Brady. They all should have traded up to the #1 spot to get him, including New England. Same with Montana. Your take also ignores what was going on with that draft. No one, I repeat, no one, thought Mahomes would have the kind of season he had last year. Coming out there were concerns with his footwork and that he was coming from a system that had never produced a decent NFL QB. Your take also shows inconsistency in judgement. You seem to dismiss Allen based on his rookie season, and at the same time you want to anoint Mahomes as savior because of one really great year. What if Allen steps up this season , and Mahomes regresses? I do a lot of research and statistical work; an N of 1 is hardly enough on which to base conclusions. McDermott and Beane have done a good job drafting talent thus far. The talent is young and will have to develop, but kids like Edmunds, Allen, Oliver, ford et al look like they should have long productive careers.
  4. Damn. Great memories of him and the rest of the Electric Company.
  5. Quite true
  6. Watching AFL football was more fun that watching the current NFL Tailgating will work out fine if and when the stadium is built downtown Using the terms hater. homer or Kool Aid drinker should earn the user a permanent ban
  7. Live just north of Indy and friends have asked me what Bills fans would have done Saturday night. Would we have booed Luck like they did here? My response was no. We would have just marched down to the field and hung him right on the 50 yard line.
  8. If he trades Dawkins Nweke (spelling??) goes to LT and Ford to RT.
  9. God forbid a young QB decide to watch film on one of if not the best to ever play the position. Who knows what could happen next, maybe he'll commit another sin and watch film of Montana.
  10. It’s not easy for anyone involved.
  11. I direct IVF labs, and thanks for pointing this out. Most grand multiple pregnancies are from use of ovulation drugs and them natural conception. You don't know how many eggs get ovulated and then fertilized doing that. I hope her pregnancy turns out OK. Those are really high risk both for mom and the babies.
  12. I would argue wood son is the only one that was truly great. Marino was of course but he never relied on movement.
  13. How many guys that have had micro fracture surgery on their knee have gone onto great careers?
  14. If people would quit expecting he’s the next Aaron Donald they’d see he’s doing fine.
  15. You watch.
  16. Brissett is an excellent backup. They are solid onD and have a really good O line. I predict they still win the division. Although all my friends here in Indy are in a state of shock right now.
  17. Young QBs have ups and downs. When will people understand this? It’s only been the case for 100 years now.
  18. He threw it to the spot. But honest to God, is this going to be the year we’re going to have? Every single pass the kid throws dissected as if it’s definitive proof of his value as a QB? Not one guy who has ever played the position could stand up to that kind of analysis.
  19. Trent Green played QB in the league and said it’s the kind of play where the QB throws to a spot. Listen to him.
  20. Good. You line up across from Oliver first.
  21. Maybe you should read and listen then.
  22. They won last night
  23. When they say they want to do X, and then they do X, I tend to believe them. As far as Josh, I said at the time when he threw that pick he cannot make that throw, that he'll get screamed at by the coaches and rightfully so. But then it comes down to three throws. The one to Zay where he went back shoulder and the one to Beasley in the flat. Both of those appeared to be timing routes; he and Zay didn't have the timing right (and it was pretty well covered) and the one to Beasley there was a high snap which may have thrown the timing off. The one to Brown was a good throw, low where Brown could make a play but the DB made a good move on the ball. I'm not saying you're one of these guys, but since I'm writing here I have to ask whether this is what we're going to see on the board all year. are we going to dissect every single pass the young second year QB throws as if an individual pass is going to define his career. Of the work he did last night, only the almost pick was a horrendous decision and throw. Which he admitted during the in game interview and that he cannot make that throw. All the other ones, except maybe the one in the flat to Beasley, were on target throws, and the one to Beasley may have been but was not the right timing. So for those despairing of this entire accuracy thing, I saw no evidence of that yesterday; I think he in limited throws put them where he wanted. Plus he directed a nice two minute drill. The kid has a ways to go, but I don't think we need to harp on every single throw or thing he does. Let's look at the totality of his play. And that of the offense. And from what I saw last night, our running game may be resurrected from last season.
