  1. I too am on Thomas watch. He would look great as a Bill! I can’t get myself to hold out hope for Sweat at 60. Maybe a trade up candidate if he slides into the late 40’s?
  2. Wasn’t there a poster named… Jeff? Or something like that. He was absolutely pounding the table to draft Mahomes and was very distraught when the Bills traded the pick away and the Chefs took ‘em instead. I don’t recall seeing many posts from him in the years since.
  3. I agree. DL is definitely in play. I too want a WR that will be a future #1, but am preparing for another first round DL. If they think to go DL, I wonder if that makes a trade down scenario more appealing for the front office. Some of these linemen seem like they could be available at the top of round 2.
  4. He seems to play the run really, really well. He could be elite at that part of the game. Not sure what his ceiling is for pass rushing, however.
  5. The Bills only need: - one more stop against the Chiefs - one more score against the Chiefs That would flip the script for at least two of the playoff losses. Which is the easier path? I’d bet on achieving one more score. A WR with deep ball ability would seem the best way to make it happen.
  6. I too choose optimism. The 2024 Bills are still going to be one heck of an out for ANYONE. Them Bills are due to be on the right side of more than one ‘instant classic’.
  7. Our deepest condolences. Keeping you and your family in our thoughts.
  8. Which of the two NFC teams could compete best with the Chefs’ ability to commit PI after PI without getting flagged?
  9. That guy behind the OC was interviewed for a HC spot. A guy behind the HC was just hired as a DC elsewhere. Moore has effectively been “fired” in back-to-back seasons. Which of them are “top talent”?
  10. I will catch the chip as it falls off my shoulder and I will gleefully chuck it as far as I can.
  11. The Bills need a different type of receiver. No need to get caught up in the “#1 WR” or “#2 WR” jargon. They have got guys that excel at certain things (including Diggs). They don’t have anyone that’s a true deep threat. They need a guy that’s good enough to warrant a few long shots every single game.
  12. Don’t know whether I will watch or not, but I definitely know that I will be rooting for the Ravens. Down with the Chefs!
  13. Strictly from memory and not any sort of data, the deep ball success rate seemed to be much worse this season than in years past. That was a mild surprise, I think. Not a one of the receivers really stepped up in this regard. The deep ball seems to represent the biggest difference between something the team could do really well offensively (given Josh’s arm strength, his accuracy, and an o-line good enough to make the time) and something the team executed very poorly. The Bills must find a receiver that can capitalize. Another thing along the same lines - I thought the Bills receivers were horrible in drawing pass interference penalties. Deep balls offer ample opportunity. I mean, Denver used it to their advantage in the MNF game this season. We saw a big one in the 49ers-GB playoff game. It’s like the Bills’ receivers are content in allowing the defenders to sit on the WR’s hip, rather than forcing the defender to make contact.
  14. Yes. I let myself Billieve. Partly because I thought they could actually do it and partly because I think it is more fun to Billieve.
  15. A trimming the fat, tightening their Belts 2024 (possibly even a down year) might be the best path to future success in 2025 and beyond.
  16. Can you back this up with data? My hypothesis is that early round receivers are producing more and are doing it more quickly than in years past.
  17. I don’t disagree. I think it is Beane’s MO to jump up a few spots for the player(s) his team has identified. A LOT of WRs will be drafted in round 1 this year. Even though it is deep, it may still be required to jump up. One thought about this: We need to consider the possibility of Diggs being over the hill. That’s a LOT of targets up for grabs.
  18. I think the Bills will end up trading up for a WR. I think they may leave the draft with two. A WR that can reliably win deep is an absolute necessity. Beyond that, the Bills need a route runner / separator that is the heir apparent to Diggs.
  19. When I lived in the Midwest, we used to say that you could give the bottom row of counties in Iowa to Missouri and the average IQ of both states would go up.
