this is the right thing to do. i just re-read the op and i think i miss understood it the first time through. i just assumed he was driving and zoned out for a while. driving 35 miles when you don't have to is not easy to do. hence cps getting involved.
-
Yeah. I think we need to differentiate between blacking out and zoning out.

other than a dome, what aren't you getting? i completely get the dome, but you don't think there are other upgrade? you keep mentioning the rodgers center, but don't you think literally everything in the new stadium in an improvement. i think it's just the esthetic you don't love which i completely get. i'm just not sure what you think you are missing out on.
-
yes...you should be satisfied they're staying, because for locals, that's the most important thing. and so what if you don't love the look. i don't either and i absolutely would have preferred a dome, but here we are. some posters my not like the esthetics, but it will still be a massive upgrade, but inside and out. you're acting like there's no upgrade at all.

oh yeah. i figured we've all done it. you just zone out and all of the sudden, you jump back into reality. i remember reading a great explanation on what deja vu is, and it had very similar reasoning.
-
yes. that was 100% the most important thing. the renderings look meh, but at the end of the day, does it really effect your life?

7.25 is insane. it just strikes me at robbing students. absolutely. they made sure to let us know that the moment we left grad school the interest was accruing. i think i had to pay the interest at least for the first year, then it had to be principal and interest. god forbid you ever have a late payment or default on a school loan. my goal is to get my kids through college debt free if they decide to go, then anything after that is on them. hopefully the situation will be wildly different then.

i agree 100%. the cost of education has gone up at a staggering, unfair rate. even keep educational loan rates low. i was in the lucky group the consolidated my loans at 2.5%. my understanding is that they were at 8-9% at one point. for an educational loan? it just seems wildly unnecessary. school loans don't have to be an evil idea. i'll be paying mine off until i'm 58, (there's no reason to prepay right now at those rates) and it's 1000% worth it.

Dude…I know Scott fairly well! He wasn’t in my immediate group, be we were very close with his guys. He graduated in 99.

if i find out someone here broke his heart, you'll be answering to me.

i don't remember the name, but he might have been a freshman when i was a senior. was he on the same team as brian gionta? out of all of the major sports, we hung out with the hockey players the most. did you ever happen to go to a party on campus in an area that looked like little houses? they were called the mods, and we always had that crew over as their dorm was right next to our house.

i wonder if she lets guys do stuff to the messed up part of her head.
-
yup. i was there in the mid to later 90s.

i've always liked liquid glass as a final polish for certain colors. it's just a great last step. i'm getting lazier, so i love the product where you spray the foam on the tire and let it dry. it's such a nice shine, but my god does it stain the driveway.
-
not really. in high school we had a couple of guys that went pro in hockey. very productive careers but unless you were local or really into hockey, i'm not sure anyone would know them. same as college...mostly hockey pros, and i have a story where liz hasselback molested one of my roommates.

Luck is when preparedness meets opportunity. The bills has a good regular season, but they just didn’t look prepared in the cinci game.
-
You are correct. Nothing is free. There often a small give away when you go in, ( think key chain/mini helmet level) but that’s it.

all you need to know is the clubs have a full bar that's open before and after the game.

What are some good, easy meals my wife can’t screw up?
teef replied to Einstein's topic in Off the Wall
this is the truth. at the class i mentioned, the lead chef spent about 15 mins on chopping. it consisted of how to hold the knife, to cut different vegetables, to keeping them the same size for even cooking. it really moved things along. i know they have a class on knives and cutting, but i don't see it on the list right now. there is a class on 2/19 about beef butchery. if you've never taken a class here, think about it when you're back in the area. it's a ton of fun, and people just drink through out. they built the lake house right behind it, so it's a nice weekend get away. https://www.nykitchen.com/ https://www.lakehousecanandaigua.com/ -

it does take a lot of practice. we recently took my aunt to a class at the local culinary center. at the beginning of the class they spent some time going over prepping, and my god what a difference that made. if you know how to prep, it becomes much more fun. i'm still clunky with it, but a few tips go a long way. -

we did blue apron which is like hello fresh for a while. we enjoyed learning to cook new things, but we found it wasn't a quick meal. if you're good with prepping/cutting, it can go much faster, but we never found it to be a quick process if you need to get out of the house fast. -

i don't think i've ever seen anyone take a halftime performance in such a strange way. there's a massive viewership for the super bowl that only watches for commercial and the halftime show.
