Sammy Watkins: New Teams, Same Bad Attitude

i think the biggest concern is what he didn't do. my guess is they new they were moving on from him, not wanting to pay him the money he was going to get on the market, and traded him for a second. the team that traded for him was also unimpressed by his production, let him go only to use another pick to trade for a wr that they paid comparable numbers to. i'm with you that they should have given him the 5th year, but i suppose when the opportunity for a pick is there you take it. sammy is a great talent with disappointing production. he's shown that his entire career. he can help you big, it's just a question of dependability. -
and he was scared to have children out of wedlock.

thank you! he does pretty well, but he needs someone there. i've helped him in the past and spent time talking to him, but it only gave him an, "in". i just can't/ don't want to do it every time. i'm with you about a beer in peace. sometimes i just want to sit at the bar and have a nice drink in quiet.

even though i don't get to play much anymore, i'm still a console *****. i'll end up getting that and the new xbox i'd bet.

i don't think this is the problem at all. i certainly can't speak for everyone, but i think the issue with sammy is that his production has never matched his talent. it's been a real issue with him. he'll flash greatness at times only to disappear for games. he's not dominant, but he's paid like a dominant wr. not that what he gets paid is our problem, but i don't think most see the value there. -
this thread is to discuss whether we are bad people or not. for instance...at our gym there's a guy in a wheelchair. i avoid him like the plague. if i even see him rolling into my area, i pack up shop and run like a little B word. he's a very nice guy, but he's way over chatty. on top of that, you always need to help him...hand him weights, spot him, move him to a bench, etc. i just don't want to deal with in. i want to go in, not talk, and get right out. the other day he asked the help of an older guy who really wasn't in physical shape to help him, and it was a mess. i saw them try to make a transfer, and sure enough they both ended up on the ground. i figured that now i had to help, but once a younger kid ran over to get them up, i knew i was in the clear and ran away. am i a bad person?

sure it was a mess, but there's a bigger picture here. i have the feeling the people screaming the loudest were the ones who said we wouldn't even sniff the playoffs. this year was a positive no matter how anyone wants to spin it. we saw young players get better, josh made improvements, they managed to avoid the number of blowouts they saw the year before, were competitive and made the playoffs, etc. it's an upward trajectory. reading the last few pages you would think this team won 6 games again. now if next year's team resembles this year's team, i get the complaints. -

the people who have been complaining for years area still complaining. shocking. it's been said many times that this team isn't a finished product, so there's that, but i just don't know how anyone can argue that this team isn't in a better position than it was 3 years ago. i suppose who it's just who some people are. if they're not miserable about something, they're not happy. man *****. -

this. -
i have to imagine that was the thought process as well. it happened, it can't be taken back, so why dwell? i'm just more interested how this team can do better moving forward rather than coming on here an looking for every possible fault. as i mentioned before, do the bears boards have threads like this every week? they traded from 3 to 2 to take mitch if i remember correctly.

got it. so the people who were screaming they wanted results with the team are the same ones who now say it's not good enough. you can discount the way this team got into the playoffs anyway you want, but this staff has gotten there 2 times in 3 years, which no other staff has been able to do over a 17 years span. is this team a finish product? of course not. it's still moving forward. let me ask you a question. is this team is better shape now that it was 3 years ago? yes or no.
