people don't know about the terms of service before they sign up? it would probably just be better if you admitted your comment was a bit off, and just move on.

i'm really not. you just don't have any leg to stand on here. they are choosing to sign up. people do it for many reasons already listed. they're not doing it for free, correct? the military provides it's personnel with something, (whether it be education or cash) and in return, you follow orders. this isn't hard. don't try to make it complicated.

but who has the gun to their head, telling them to sign up? it's a choice. not a single human who signs up for the military thinks they're going to go in and do what they want.

but ultimately it's still a choice. if someone wants education and advancement, along with pay through the military, they shouldn't be shocked that they may have to follow through with some orders. the military is a choice. there are other ways to advance, but the military is a great way of doing it.

people go into the military only because they want to be told what to do? something about this doesn't seem right.

aren't you making the choice when you sign on the dotted line? i've never served, but i assumed if someone did, they were very aware of what may happen when they enlist.

we have people on this board who do the very same thing.

i went to st. rita's! when i was a kid that carnival was the best. i went a few years ago and it was a complete reduction of what it once was. also, the jazz festival. that ***** is a blast.

locally i'll miss/missed the fairport canal days and the mendon carnival. I also will miss people watching at the webster firemans carnival. we also love to go to the canadian/american festival in the thousand islands, and that's out the window.

there's enough talent and coaching on this team to not lose a quarter of the season. i suppose there are injury scenarios that could lead to a slide like that, but otherwise i just can't imagine it happening against those teams.

Just because you AND cbs guessed it, it’s still pretty unlikely. With this staff, I’d say it’s wildly unlikely.

we were going to go to lake george in june, but canceled those. we spend a lot of time up in the thousand islands at sackets harbor. i was there last week, and as beautiful as the weather was, none of the restaurants or bars were open obviously. the problem is a lot will be closed for the entire season. another popular place burned down and there doesn't seem to be any thoughts on rebuilding. even the most popular place is up for sale. there's a large outdoor seating area that looks completely overgrown. i feel between the flooding the lasts couple of years and now covid...the place has really died out.
