  1. Thank you for everything Tyrod! Especially your part in getting Buffalo to the playoffs! Hope you can somehow play a role in doing the same for Cleveland. He broke a long streak of crappy QBs and I am glad we had him in a Bills uniform. But I am excited for the next chapter in "the process"!
  2. Not sure if you've seen this before, but here's a draft value chart. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=BUF We definitely have the draft capital in just this year's draft alone to move up. It would likely take both 1sts, both 2nds and both 3rds this year. That would put the value at 2681 vs 2600 for the 2nd overall pick. It might take even more to sweeten the pot though, especially if other teams offer more. Unless the Giants value getting all picks this year over a mix of picks this year and next year. People do say that next year's picks are valued a round lower (so a 2nd would be valued as a 3rd). So If we are talking some picks this year and some next, it'll probably be even more.
  3. Fully agree man. Ive said a few times now that I can't see Beane trading a 2nd + for Foles and still trading up for a QB. Which is why I don't want to trade for Foles at all. I think if we trade for him they likely view him as our starter for a couple/few years at least. I don't think he's anything more than an average bridge QB. He's 1 year older than Tyrod. He is what he is at this point IMO. We know his ceiling, and it's not as the type of QB who can consistently elevate the team around him. I don't think he will ever be that elite type of QB you DNA compete for championships year in and out with. He's very streaky. He will get hot for a few games and then go cold for stretches. He really only had roughly a handful of games where he's really been great. Otherwise he's been average/mediocre and even poor at times. So why not shoot for one of the big 3 draft prospects who have elite potential? No risk, no reward!
  4. Oh, I didn't mean that I am convinced that the Bills will trade up. I am definitely not. Just that this is the year to do it IMO. I think thre there are some unique circumstances this year that would allow the Bills to get an elite QB draft prospect that in most normal years wouldn't be available because the teams at the top of the draft wouldn't be willing to trade back. like the Winston & Mariota draft for example. A couple teams tried like hell to get the #1 or #2 pick and it just wasn't happening because both the Bucs and Titans were desperate for a franchise QB.
  5. Makes me wonder if Kizer was offered to Buffalo...
  6. I hope like hell you are right man! I would be beyond thrilled.
  7. Yeah, unfortunately, I'm kind of thinking this might be the plan. I cant see them giving up a 2nd + more for Foles and still trading up. But lets see if they even trade for Foles first... Ill lose it if they give up a 1st for him like the Eagles want.
  8. That's what I was thinking as well. A 2nd + Philly's 3rd. I think that's a bit steep but shoot, Tyrod just went for pick #65, so.... Id be ok with Foles and Rudolph. Id be a whole lot happier with Foles and Rosen/Darnold/Mayfield though. Or even Rosen/Darnold/Mayfield and a scrap heap veteran... lol. I want one one of the top 3 QBs so bad! Im just worried that they will be content with Foles (if they trade for him). I'll be really bummed if that's the case.
  9. Yeah I am very impressed Beane pulled the 1st pick of the 3rd round! That's not just some throw away pick... My gut is telling me that we are trading for Foles. Just a hunch... Id be happy with that as long as it doesn't mean we are not going after Rosen/Mayfield/Darnold. If they trade for him and only draft a mid/late round QB I'll be quite disappointed. If they trade for him thinking he can be our QB for years and skip drafting a QB all together, I'll be pissed.
  10. Wow!! So, are we trading up? Trading for Foles? Signing a vet? please let us be trading up!!!!!!!!! For some reason, I have a feeling we are going to trade for Foles. If we do, I just hope they still go hard after a QB in the draft.
  11. Wow. Big money. That's an average salary of $16.5M per year. He's a damn good WR though. He's been over 1000yds in every single one of his 4 seasons in the league. 4500 yards in 4 years, over 30 TDs.
  12. I am all hyped up over a trade up too. I want it to happen so bad, and so many people seem convinced that it'll happen. At this point I'll be pretty disappointed if it doesn't happen. But I also know that it is far from a sure thing. I don't even know if there's a 50/50 chance, to be honest. I'd like to think there is but I have no clue. Beane has played his cards pretty close to the vest. Honestly, It feels kinda strange to be so firmly for trading up to the top of this draft for a QB. Historically, I have been against it. I've argued with numerous people over the years, saying how teams trading to the top of the draft for a QB have basically always lost out in the deal (outside of Vick, and now Wentz, and Goff (possibly)). But now I am all for it. Feels a little strange... lol. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I really didn't have much of any faith left in Doug Whaley to find the Bills a QB. I didn't really like the things he seemed to prioritize at the QB position (big and mobile with zero concern for, or emphasis on, accuracy or pocket presence, reading defenses, throwing with anticipation etc). We dont don't know that Beane will be any better, but I guess since he's new there's still that hope... lol. I like what he's shown so far. He's hired a killer front office/scouting/personnel staff, and seems to be very methodical and calculated in his approach. And if the Peterman pick is any indication of what they prioritize in their QBs (accuracy, anticipation, ability to read defensive coverages and go through progressions etc) I like our chances much better than I did under Whaley.
  13. This is really the only trade I care about at this point!
  14. lol still posted it before you. Scroll up on page 5. and now I've totally killed my own joke by explaining it...
  15. But I still beat you to It! ? lol
  16. I really think this might be the year to do it. The Browns hinted that they might be willing to trade #1 (which is surprising IMO). The Giants look to be trying to win now and ride with Eli for the next few years. Indy already has their QB of the future. This is a really talented, and deep QB draft with a couple/few studs sitting at the top of the class. I feel like in most years the teams sitting in the top 3 would be unwilling to trade their picks because they would really want/need one of the top QBs in a class like this for themselves. It just so happens that this year is unique (IMO). And The Bills just happen to have 5 picks in the top 93. I dont know that we will will have a better chance at getting an elite QB prospect any time soon. I think #2 is probably the best target. I think the Browns will want a crazy sum to pass on a QB and move back. I actually think the chances are still high that they draft a QB at 1. But with Rosen hinting he doesn't want to play there, I think it'll be someone else. Which leaves the best QB in the draft (and maybe the best QB prospect to come out in years (at least IMO) on the board at #2...
  17. Damn. I didn't know they had to carry the dead cap until June 2nd if they cut him and designate it post June 1st. So cutting him right now doesn't do much to help them get cap compliant. I figured that was the main reason they were discussing Suh as a possible cut...
  18. Oh boy, a shootout. Automatic loss? Edit - OMG we won a shootout!! I am in shock... lol. Anyone know, is that Lehner's 1st shootout win as a Sabre? Or has he won one before?
  19. PFT claims that the Seahawks are expected to release Richard Sherman on Friday. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/03/08/report-seahawks-expected-to-release-richard-sherman-on-friday/
  20. He sure is! I cant wait to see what his contract ans cap hit look like. I have a feeling it's going to be insane. My guess is $30M per year easy, if not more. If it turns into a bidding war between the Jets, Vikings and Broncos it could really get nuts. Jets and Vikings have lots of cap space and the Broncos are getting there. Well, I guess we probably know why there haven't been any rumors of Beane and the Bills being in on Cousins... I just hope he goes to Denver. I think it helps the Bills the most (draft wise). The NY Jets are my 2nd choice. Arizona 3rd. (As all 3 sit ahead of us in the draft). Vikings a distant last.
  21. Yeah but right now Miami is currently over the cap by $8 million. They have to be compliant in a bit less than 6 days (4pm March 14th). Next year they have about $57 million in cap space. Under normal circumstances it would probably be best to eat all that dead cap right away. But if Miami cuts Suh, it'll probably be because they decided to do it to be cap compliant. So in this instance it probably wouldn't make sense, since it would only free about $3M this year (and they need at least $8M just to be cap compliant, plus they'll need more to sign their draft picks, and even more if they want to try and sign any free agents).
  22. Wow. That's a pretty nice CB duo if Talib rebounds before no back with Wade Phillips (which I think has a reasonably good chance of happening). But boy o boy, talk about some crazy personalities at starting CB between him and Peters. It appears the Rams don't care about perceived personality issues - Watkins, Peters, Talib...
