  1. I would guess - Dion Dawkins, Richie Incognito, ? (Groy maybe?), Miller/Vlad/someone new, Mills/someone new. Dawkins did very well at LT last season, and not so good at RT. So Glenn was likely made redundant in the eyes of McBeane. Then you look at the high price tag and missed games the last 2 seasons, and you can see why they were leaning toward Dawkins on a rookie 2nd round contract. Add in the Bengals offering to swap 1sts and give the Bills a much better shot at their QB and the decision's even easier. I liked Glenn a lot too, and just said today that they better be sure Dawkins can continue playing like last season. But that was when I was expecting Glenn to bring back a 3rd or something similar... with our desperate need at QB this would have been a hard trade to say no to.
  2. That's my guess too. A lot better than both 1sts, both 2nds and both 3rds! And more appealing going to 12 instead of 21 for a team moving back
  3. He is. From everything ive read from his teammates and coaches, all that stuff is BS. Did you happen to see the articles with all the quotes from his teammates on these alleged rumors?
  4. I was wondering how we swapped 6ths since we didn't have one. This answers that question... Not as good as moving up in the 5th, but I'll still take it.
  5. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=BUF Now our two 1st round picks are worth 2000 points. The #2 pick is worth 2600. A trade up just got cheaper!
  6. Give me any 1 of the top 3! Rosen is #1 in my personal wishlist though. Highest ceiling and floor IMO.
  7. Swap of 1sts but I'll take it! MUCH better shot at trading up or landing a QB now. Looks like it could be an eagles-like move (for Wentz)
  8. Did we swap 1sts? Or did we get the 12th pick straight up? Beane is the best GM ever if he got #12 straight up!
  9. Ok, now I really do think we are trying to move up to the top5
  10. Josh Rosen please!! But It very well could just be that they plan to rebuild the team through the draft.
  11. I'll be pissed if that's all we got. The rumor was that the Seahawks were hot after Glenn but didn't end up trading for him because the cost was prohibitive. They traded for Duane Brown instead, giving up a 2018 3rd and 2019 2nd for Brown and a 5th.
  12. Anxious to see what we got! Hope it's a good return (2nd). Glenn is a proven franchise caliber LT, and was very reliably available up until that foot injury. Also, I sure hope Dawkins is able to continue playing like he did last season...
  13. Could be a trade up. Or they could be leaving the door open for a trade for a veteran QB like Foles. Or they could just be signing him to compete for the backup role.
  14. Not sure if that (Tyrod) was a typo but I'm asking about Nick Foles contract. It says it voids if he is on the Eagles roster for 2019. But it does it still void if he's traded?
  15. Does he for sure only have 1 year left on his deal? I thought so too, but then I looked into it a bit and now I'm not so sure. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/nick-foles-9898/ https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nick-foles-contract-would-make-him-a-free-agent-if-hes-on-the-eagles-in-february-2019/ It looks like he actually has 4 years left on his deal. But it voids after the 2018 season if he's still on the Eagles roster. So, would it still void after this year if he's traded? Or do those additional 3 years kick in since he's not in the Eagles roster?
  16. It's definitely a whole lot to give up. But I wouldn't say "let alone this draft class". This actually looks like one of the strongest QB draft classes in years IMO, and on top,of that its a unique circumstance where 2 of the top 3 teams don't need a QB. Seems like a heck of an opportunity to acquire an elite QB prospect IMO.
  17. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=BUF According to the draft value charts, the #2 overall pick is worth 2600. The Bills two 1sts, two 2nds and two 3rds equals 2680. So my guess is that is the minimum it'll take. If other teams offer higher value, it could take even more.
  18. I'll give Lehner credit for making a few saves in the shootout, but it should never have gone to overtime in the first place. If Lehner just stays in the damn net and doesn't slide 10 feet out to the side, Vegas probably never ties this game up and Buffalo wins in regulation. Lehner drives me nuts with how often he gets caught out of position. Oh well. Wins are more/less pointless at this point anyway. We are now tied wth the Sens for 3rd last ans close to passing both them and Vancouver. I can already see it now - we'll finish 5th last, slide down 3 draft spots and pick 8th again (after an entire season in the bottom 2).... lol
  19. I have zero issue with him as a bridge QB. What I am arguing against is trading for him and expecting him to be our starter longer term, while passing on a rookie QB high in the draft. I don't like the idea of giving up a 2nd + for him because i worry that it might mean they are content with him as the starter while developing a mid round rookie and/or Peterman. If they give up a 2nd+ and still go hard after their QB in the draft, again I am perfectly happy with that. But I want the Bills to draft their long term starter. I'm done with retreads and other teams backups. I want a guy that has a chance to be elite and elevate the team around him. Foles may be able to do that for a couple games a year but he isn't that type of QB most of the time. The majority of his career he's been a mediocre starter/good backup. If you're trading for him expecting him to play like the Super Bowl MVP, you're probably going to be disappointed much of the time. I mean, we've never even seen this guy start a full 16 games in his entire career. Do we even know if he can be a full time starter? He hasn't been able to earn that full time starting job yet, and he's 29 (a year older than Tyrod) going into his 7th NFL season. He played good to very good for most of his 10 starts in 2013 (Id say 7 out of 10). He looked like he could be great. But then in the same offense's in his 2nd year - 2014 - he didn't look nearly as good (before injury). He was missing open receivers, holding the ball too long and threw 9 or 10 interceptions in his 8 starts that season. How many times have we seen a QB have a good season only to not be able to get back to that level again? Plus, Chip Kelly had a pretty innovative and QB friendly offense. Mark Sanchez came in for Foles in 2014 and actually looked as good or better than Foles had (in 2014). Then the next time Foles looks like a truly good starter again is 4 years later in Doug Pederson's innovative and QB friendly offense. And even then it was really only 3 good games - Giants in the regular season, Minnesota and New England in the playoffs. The other regular season start against Oakland he stunk, and the playoff game against Atlanta was ok. He didn't look good in the season finale against Dallas either, but he only played a few snaps so I dont count it. Like like I said, I'd be happy with him as a bridge guy. But I guess I am just nervous about giving up premium picks for him (as of now the Eagles want a 1st + 4th and that's absolutely a non starter for me). Like I said above, I just worry that if the Bills give up, say, a 2nd + 3rd or 4th for Foles that they are not going to go hard after a QB in the draft, or even take 1 in the 1st round. I just have a hard time thinking that the Bills will give up the assets it'll take to trade for Foles and then still use a 1st (or more) on a QB in the draft.
  20. Thank you for everything Tyrod! Especially your part in getting Buffalo to the playoffs! Hope you can somehow play a role in doing the same for Cleveland. He broke a long streak of crappy QBs and I am glad we had him in a Bills uniform. But I am excited for the next chapter in "the process"!
  21. Not sure if you've seen this before, but here's a draft value chart. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp?RequestTeam=BUF We definitely have the draft capital in just this year's draft alone to move up. It would likely take both 1sts, both 2nds and both 3rds this year. That would put the value at 2681 vs 2600 for the 2nd overall pick. It might take even more to sweeten the pot though, especially if other teams offer more. Unless the Giants value getting all picks this year over a mix of picks this year and next year. People do say that next year's picks are valued a round lower (so a 2nd would be valued as a 3rd). So If we are talking some picks this year and some next, it'll probably be even more.
  22. Fully agree man. Ive said a few times now that I can't see Beane trading a 2nd + for Foles and still trading up for a QB. Which is why I don't want to trade for Foles at all. I think if we trade for him they likely view him as our starter for a couple/few years at least. I don't think he's anything more than an average bridge QB. He's 1 year older than Tyrod. He is what he is at this point IMO. We know his ceiling, and it's not as the type of QB who can consistently elevate the team around him. I don't think he will ever be that elite type of QB you DNA compete for championships year in and out with. He's very streaky. He will get hot for a few games and then go cold for stretches. He really only had roughly a handful of games where he's really been great. Otherwise he's been average/mediocre and even poor at times. So why not shoot for one of the big 3 draft prospects who have elite potential? No risk, no reward!
  23. Oh, I didn't mean that I am convinced that the Bills will trade up. I am definitely not. Just that this is the year to do it IMO. I think thre there are some unique circumstances this year that would allow the Bills to get an elite QB draft prospect that in most normal years wouldn't be available because the teams at the top of the draft wouldn't be willing to trade back. like the Winston & Mariota draft for example. A couple teams tried like hell to get the #1 or #2 pick and it just wasn't happening because both the Bucs and Titans were desperate for a franchise QB.
