  1. High wonderlic score does suggest an ability to understand sophisticated O's and D's Add the ability to thread the needle from 40 yards away and we might be on to something in my humble opinion. with all due respect sir Allen will in all likelihood will be gone before Buffalo's selection so I wouldn't worry...
  2. Having the highest wonderlic score in the QB class disagrees...
  3. Lori Chase was a mod here at TBD once upon a time. Great Bills historian in my humble opinion who wrote a pre game warm up each week during the regular season that always brought added intrigue and excitement from previous encounters. Must have been before your time Gu...
  4. Perhaps a man's occupation shouldn't be making the choice of what he likes to do on his own time when it comes to recreation or relaxation. Most people will find a job that fits their preffered life style so when you say sacrafice millions, to do what, live the way they would like? We live in a society today thats putting professional athletes in contact with friends and family members enjoying the same means of unwinding as many of them would like to use on a daily basis. (legally) Getting your brains scrambled on a football field is not the only way to make millions...
  5. My MVP gives a shout out to a member from the past who may not post here anymore, but will always be memorable to me as the most knowledgable and respected mod/ poster that TSW has ever known. (In my humble opinion) We miss you Lori...
  6. My expectations of McCarron are high, but it would not surprise me If the thought process behind bringing A J into Buffalo is much how you just described it in my humble opinion. Carefully calculated with a possible upside...
  7. unfortunately, Reminds me of Newton , thought we had our guy until he climbed to the top, hate it when that happens doc...
  8. Josh Allen from a wonderlic standpoint is the smartest QB in the draft class with by far the strongest arm and an ability to hit small windows of opportunity because of it. Is Allen a project, absolutely and why we have McCarron. Allen is our guy...
  9. Myself personally, I think starting field position can be very important. Fans want entertainment and when you continue to take danger out of the equation the NFL suffers the consequences in my humble opinion..
  10. which might help explain Allens low completion percentage at the college level IMO.(57%) New Era stadium from a bad weather standpoint is the worst in the NFL and you need a high velocity cannon to help counter the storm. Josh Allen can bring it...
  11. Only paying attention to one team in particular at the college level this thread has given me a better understanding of why the draft class at the QB position is considered good. Thank you very much OP, nice job.
  12. I'm sure Zay is beating his own self up over the incident and not adding to the punishment is the right thing to do in my humble opinion.
  13. Bad Oline protection can have a cumulative effect on any QB both physically and mentally in my humble opinion. Fix the protection or ruin the QB ...
  14. If you want to win a championship these holes have to be filled properly. The Eagles are a great example of what good coaching, good systems and good supporting cast can do for a football team.
  15. Phil Simms to Hostetler and I know I didn't spell that name correctly, which does suggest that particular Championship was more about coaching and total team effort much like the Eagles Championship. I mean Nick Foles played a great game, don't get me wrong, but we've also watched Frank Reich lead Buffalo on the biggest comeback Bills fans have ever seen. Reich was no Kelly, good coaching, good supporting cast, good system...
  16. I would almost be tempted to start the Superbowl MVP regardless of what Wentz's status is and let it play out. If Foles should somehow hold the position the Eagles have one heck of a good problem to have at the QB positiion.
  17. hey man, we don't know squat so stick with the program
  18. I have a sneaky suspicion Baker Mayfield is in Buffalo's cross hairs now Rosen might be out of reach.
  19. McD / Beane regime is paying very particular attention to the character of every player on the roster and in all likelihood will pay even closer attention to the QB they expect to lead Buffalo long term into the future. I'm not sure how that translates into this years draft class, but it probably narrows the possibilities to one or two players in my humble opinion.
  20. The whole team played great behind him, Hats off to the Eagles...
  21. Myself personally, Foles has proven himself on the biggest stage possible. So while I may not agree with OP's flawed evaluation of McCarron I like where he's going with it as Nick Foles and A J McCarron stand on opposite sides of the spectrum.
  22. Care to elaborate on why you think McCarron is flawed. How do you finish college with 77 TD's/ 15 Int's a 162.5 QB rating and 2 National Championships and only a small handful of NFL games under your belt become flawed? If you had Nick Saban on the stand and asked him why A J was flawed they would probably have to remove coach Saban from the courtroom from laughing hysterically. Yet to prove himself at the NFL level perhaps , but flawed? Awwww come on man!
