Rasul Douglas - about his future with the bills?
Buffalo716 replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not wishful thinking Mckelvin took years to get it together as a raw but physically impressive corner Later in his career he actually became a solid man corner who you could not throw at to just attack and he was better in zone than giving credit for.. it literally just took years... Which isn't what you want from a top 10 pick I think Elam is on the same trajectory which sucks for the first couple years but I think the light is going to turn on -

That's why the bills were not a good franchise in that point lol -
Caleb Williams is off to a rough rookie start

Caleb has some odd quirks... But is an intense leader on and off the field He earns respect on the field from his teammates ... Laying it all on the field will earn your respects.. every Young quarterback has to earn it from the veterans in the locker room Darnold was never known as the greatest leader at USC -

He def was the feature back that year he snapped his leg week 9 He was top 2 NFL in rushing and having an all pro year He also has 10,000 career all purpose yards He outlasted two first round picks that they tried to replace him with but couldn't succeed He definitely was the best player here for a stretch -
Bruce was considered a once in a lifetime type of player lol Greg was playing WR and safety in HS... Broke his ankle and RS as a freshman at Miami Then had 15.5 sacks a Miami record... Sat out the next season Then we drafted him... He's an extremely raw defensive end
-
I never said they're going to become all pros Together I think they can be a very very effective Duo... Gregg is 24 and absolutely rising... He is a physical freak and still getting better at football AJ might not be the best pass rusher in the world but he's obviously a gifted football player with a high IQ

It's not up to the school how good of a pro they are lol It's their job to win college football games and get the best high school player and develop him What they do in the pros is all up to the player... And it's more than just talent you have to be a leader of grown men... Darnold had talent coming out... He's too much of a laid-back surfer boy to lead grown ass man -
You can't compare every coaches scheme and think x + y = z I'm pretty sure if you read what I wrote I said you do want immediate impact... BUT The bills literally reshaped AJs body ... That basically was a red shirt of a year... And Gregg came in after not even playing college football for a whole season Then they went into the heaviest d line rotation in the NFL.. where they were brought along slowly Gregg has had the most playing time to improve and his has... He's extremely raw.. only played one year of college football while missing a season With all of that.. including the rotation.. somebody like that is poised to break out a little later He also has been playing good.. it's not like he's invisible.. tremendous against the run Ed Oliver... Is also really good... And it took a few years to fully come together also Micah and TJ are also outside linebackers primarily playing different techniques... Miles Garrett was considered one of the best D ends to come out in a decade and the bosa brothers were considered Blue Chip Comparing Bruce Smith to anybody LOL He was the number one overall pick and considered once in a generation... Same with Miles Garrett... The bosa brothers were considered Blue Chip The way we use our heavy D line rotation.. changing aj's body... And Gregg being extremely raw... Are all reasons that they did not come out of the gate day one and dominate That doesn't mean they can't be really good football players

Regardless if I'm right or wrong The bills need it... And I do consider them both rising players... Both 25 and younger with NFL experience ...AJ will be 26 in sept.. but that is still prime with experience While there are 23-year-olds coming out right now... I really like having these young long guys with experience... Opposed to a 23-year-old rookies who has to learn I think there's a good chance of a breakout

Gregg Rousseau and AJ epenesa.... When we took defensive ends high... With Gregg ,AJ and boogie The goal was to always have the cream rise... They develop them slowly... Especially AJ... Who had a complete body transformation They limit their snaps and location to keep them fresh.. along with the rest of the defensive line But when you make pics like this... Sure you want quick impact... But generally there for 3 or 4 years down the line... When they are seasoned veterans in NFL strength and conditioning programs Now... We have two massive starting ends... Tall and long... Great disruptors in the run game... Gets their hands in the passing Lanes on quick throws AJ has honestly.. one of the best first steps and get offs in the NFL... He routinely wins off the snap Gregg is 6'7 270 pounds... Came into the NFL extremely raw... The sky is the limit we just haven't seen it fully... He's a beast in the run and will start manhandling tackles AJ it's probably the best hands up swatter in the NFL... You can't throw a swing pass or screen to his side... He is so long and athletic.. he's going to get another interception or two this season This is why you draft defensive ends high... Multiple.. and let them develop I'm going to call it now they're going to wreak havoc all year.. and we are going to have two of the biggest most tenacious D ends in the NFL We've been waiting for this... They are going to feed off each other and disrupt quarterbacks and running backs all year

That is definitely the correct answer for any pure football fan

I saw the stones a few summers ago and the price was crazy lol I did have a nice suite view which my father liked ... Good show but expensive

@PromoTheRobot Don't be surprised to see Shaun dolac get an invite next year too Or straight up signed after the draft Does he have a chance of slipping in the later rounds? Sure But I envision him coming home to Buffalo to next year
-
Since I know you watch the league... Have any quarterbacks impressed you... Guys who did not have any starts in the NFL

Rasul Douglas - about his future with the bills?
Buffalo716 replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just feel like he's saying he's got five kids that he's going to relax with when time is done -
Certainly can win a practice squad spot He's built like a modern linebacker
-
Did you see Dylan McDuffie ended up at Kansas last year? Shame I don't think he got picked up UDFA even tho he was one of the nicer backs after the draft Can't believe he didn't even get a training camp offer
-
He's always been a pretty good punter Problem is once you get too good you want more money... And teams only pay so much to punters So younger options were more appealing than giving him a lot of money I haven't watched the UFL... But he probably does have a stronger leg then haack
-
At this point if we don't go bowling it's a disappointment... I'm not asking for 9 and 3... But we can get six wins
-
I agree I wouldn't be trading him for a late round pick when three is better than one... I do have faith that McGovern will be a good center for the bills... As I've said it's physically easier to play center in the modern NFL You have to be smart and quick... But you're mainly combination blocking... Helping out guards... And moving to the second level... Pass protection is the easiest out of the line positions Guards take on elite 3tech athletes one on one... Centers don't I like McGovern going to center as a big strong Athlete... Even if he doesn't have a lot of experience Him, clapp and vpg is a solid room.. where I can see vpg being our starting center after a year or two of grooming... Which will never hurt He can workout his technique flaws like overreaching... And improve his core strength But he has a habit of overreaching because of his lack of length... And he's only going to go up against bigger longer athletes in the NFL... And they will abuse that flaw

Most of the big physical quarterbacks from the '90s era did not have a long career Dante culpepper Steve McNair and Donovan McNabb were all solid .. McNabb and McNair were really really good... McNair won an MVP None played well past 33 or 34 Because they were beat up Thank you McNabb was really good
