They obviously worked on a lot of stuff But at the quarterback summit they would go days and days without even touching a football He didn't have Josh Allen throwing 500 footballs a day... Even in private workouts... Sure they worked on deep ball trajectory and lots of stuff But Josh's release wasn't really the problem... It wasn't perfect but it was efficient...It was everything mechanically leading up to the release. His feet , hips , torso , shoulders Yeah he still works with him occasionally because he's really good... But Josh might have found other quarterback coaches for other stuff and outgrew some of his coaching That happens all the time... And his release did regress last year I suspect because of injury If I recall correctly he's working with Chris Hess right now... Who is a sports scientist who also maps and tracks throwing motion To help clean up the inefficiencies that came on last year in his release... Mainly some stuff with the elbow

Is James Cook a Top-Five All Time Bills Running Back?
Buffalo716 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's not even close yet -
Yeah I still go to elite 11 quarterback camps all over the country and work with quarterbacks I saw a noticeable elongation on his motion last year... I thought it was maybe because of the elbow injury But it's certainly was not as crisp as it used to be Hopefully he gets it corrected 100% mostly article is spot on But Josh's throwing motion in 2017 coming out was majorly impacted by his lower body... They would spend weeks without even throwing a football... Just working on lower body mechanics Then they had to get it up to speed with his upper half... But his lower body was way more in shambles 6 years ago then his release The last few years his release has been slowly relapsing... Last year it became more elongated then it has been since his rookie year so it makes sense that that's what he's trying to clean up But I think his elbow injury also impacted his throwing motion

Years ago out of the draft when Josh started working with Palmer... He had terrible lower body footwork... It wasn't in line with the rest of his body Palmer spent a lot of time with Josh getting his lower body in sync with his upper half... His footwork was really out of sync That's what all those weeks on the beach with Palmer was ... Footwork footwork footwork... Josh didn't even touch a ball half those times Now of course they work out a lot of other stuff and every professional quarterback is always working on their mechanics including the release But I don't believe he goes to the quarterback summit with Palmer anymore... I think he just works with him occasionally on the side He needs his skills to be refined... Which there might be better coaches for I'm sure he still works out with Palmer occasionally but I don't believe he goes to his quarterback summit on the beach anymore Occasionally He does not go to his offseason Beach quarterback camp anymore if I recall correctly Where he put in most of the work his first couple of years in the offseason with Palmer Now I think they do some individual stuff occasionally... But not the quarterback summit I like that Josh is working on his release because it did seem a little longer last season

Solid counter argument.. they certainly are loaded

As an avid college basketball watcher I would still be extremely shocked I wouldn't be surprised by a elite 8 type run... I don't think they will be bad ... But I think losing that much talent in 2 years is too much

For 35 million dollars that is a hard sign... Our own Gabe Davis IS NFL quality But just got like 14 million a year... We couldn't pay that either
-
Did Samuel and Brady mesh in their offense? Sure... Do pro personnel scouts, think about which impending free agents will play good in your system? Yes... Do they relay that to the front office... Sure But Brady did not have any power to re sign or not resign a player... That is total front office... With some head coach opinion He just coaches the players he gets... And has an opinion on which players fit or do not fit in his system on pro personnel side
-
Brady doesn't sign players in Carolina LOL Samuel got a 35 million deal from Washington... That ain't chump change or minimum deal He also got a $20 million dollar deal here... He is a lock to make the team this year
-
He definitely has the chops and recruiting talent to win two or three more at UConn though He's going to be a problem for as long as he stays... His teams are just too big and physical
-
UCONN is about to lose four or five players to the NBA Hurley did great with a big time program.. but that's even too much to overcome in a season They were the first two-time champion 15 years... They just don't have the dogs for the three peat

There is an old legend about babe and Josh Gibson having a home run derby in Puerto Rico or Cuba in the late 30s Never been fully confirmed and probably never happened -
Reid also got to build his team into a contender under Alex Smith where they were consistently winning... And the reigns to mahomes with a team ready to win The bills gutted the roster Josh Allen's rookie year and was good by year three.. but there were plenty of people who were not even sold on Josh Allen going into year three The bills as a team grew with Josh Allen... Patrick mahomes got a team that was ready to contend... Sure we could have beat them the last few years and haven't but I believe we can and we are very close

Which battle in camp are you watching the closest?
Buffalo716 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
On paper and experience certainly.... McD is a DB savant... We could start cam lewis at FS and I wouldn't be in a super panic mode I trust whoever gets the majority of reps in training camp and PS to play well... It's certainly going to be interesting without poyer and Hyde back there -
Allentown is like the trendier artsy area Bars , restaurants, cool old architecture

Rasul Douglas - about his future with the bills?

I was agreeing with you I knew you were saying you thought he had a chance -
That is true that AJ rushes better off of a wide technique using his quickness He certainly needs to improve his Rush from the five technique.. and his discipline
-
Guys like Reddick and Parsons and TJ watt who people have mentioned in this thread Are also primarily outside linebackers... Who line up in different techniques when they rush the passer... They generally line up closer to a 9 technique... Really wide and angled ..or a 7 Our ends rush at the 5 technique mainly Guys like Trey Hendrickson did take a while to become sack artists
