HS team executes brilliant underhand thrown fake punt
Buffalo716 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's been spread type plays in the NFL for a long time What has changed is how many teams are using them consistently 30 years ago only a couple teams were using spread concepts.. now every team does That's why the majority of spread quarterbacks failed before this new modern era of football.. the majority could not play in a pro style offense where they had to make four five reads You can't put kyler Murray in a under center offense and have him do seven step drops and read two wide receivers two tight ends and a running back... He needs defined spread reads to be successful College football has stopped putting out pro style pocket passers for the most part.. NFL teams had to adjust their offenses because they're not getting classic quarterbacks As for the wildcat that was a slightly new innovation, which was a fad... It had success for one season... And the next year the entire league caught up -
HS team executes brilliant underhand thrown fake punt

Is it hard to hear in certain situations? Big third Downs, yea communication is tougher It's not as hard to hear during a punt.. there is usually very little crowd noise compared to first second third down Players can communicate on the field and coaches on the sideline can communicate with players easier.. a coach could be right next to the jammer at the LoS with a view of the punter and relay that to him while the edge man also sees it and calls out fake.. The edge man would get a good view Also NFL jammers are taught to stick to their man.. and have cues to tell if it's a punt or fake ... Like why isn't the Gunner making a beeline for the returner? Why is he 20 yards shorts and looking like a receiver ? Why doesn't it look like a normal punt off the foot of an NFL punter? You could probably confuse a high school punt for a wobbly underhand throw, you can't confuse an NFL punt with that... The height completely different -

This would never work at the NFL level.. there are built-in man to man principles and punt plays So the second that ball is snapped and an eligible receiver ran down the field he would have a man on him.. and as soon as the punter never punted it and just lofted it into the air The entire team and sidelines would be screaming fake and pass.. and there would be a guy on the eligible receiver to break it up This is a perfect high school trick play There are sidelines that can see it and scream pass.. the guys coming off the edge would clearly be able to see it in the NFL too The entire punt return team would be alerted and I can't ever see a pop fly of an underhand toss being completed.. Punt return teams have built in man-to-man principles to stop fakes and any player from the punting team who looks like he's tracking a football to catch would also be suspicious... Gunners don't track a football to catch it unless it's a sky kick inside the 10 yard line -
According to every single strength of schedule metric Missouri is lower than Notre Dame Mozz combined record of the opponents they play this year they were under 500 last year Yeah they have some tough sec games Do you forget how even Alabama went to A&m and lost a few years ago? Playing the top two ACC schools from a year ago.. the fourth place ACC team.. a 10 win Arizona team.. and USC.. while going to A&m it's not a cakewalk Let alone they also play the top two favorite Mac teams.. it's not like they played Chattanooga It's Notre Dame.. of course they get media love and national spotlight attention.. it was the same 50 years ago... College football has more interest when Notre Dame is good

The transfer portal and nil will not stay for long in this iteration

Yeah but you just being a Alabama fan blinds the rest of your college football goggles bro You literally think if you don't have an SEC schedule it has to be cake lol I literally named 9 power 5 schools with an easier schedule according to strength of schedule...including an SEC School Missouri .. Utah and Texas tech also have a lower ranked schedule Again it's not a super hard schedule but it's not the easiest schedule in the world.. playing the top two ACC teams from last year and a 10 win Arizona team and going to A&m week 1, playing USC ... GT is solid... that is tougher than 65 division 1 schools
-
You literally act like going down to A&m on opening week when everybody has something to play for is a cakewalk lol That's literally a very tough place to play in the country and they have a very good home record ... 6-1 at home last year 20-5 at home The last 5 years.. not an easy place to go to They also play Georgia tech, USC , Louisville Arizona , FSU... Yeah Florida state looks like a mess but even the pollsters had them top 10... Won the ACC last year.. that is never considered an easy game before the season starts So they play the top 2 ACC teams from last year...and the 4th ... Arizona won 10 games last year... And they went to A&m Kansas Oklahoma State NC State Arizona Missouri North Carolina Indiana and Syracuse all have easier ranked schedules according to strength of schedule Do they have the hardest schedule? No... Is it the easiest in the country, no

Bojo was never cut and there's never been a punter who was talented at punting who was cut for holding ability Ethan is correct it is the most overblown thing... Bojo new kicker says he is the best holder he's ever had.. it's literally not a hard skill to learn I repeat a good punter has never been cut because of his holding abilities

You literally list bolton but not Milano or Edmunds both pro bowlers we drafted... Ed Oliver is a stud .. taron Johnson is a top 5-7 nickel .. Spencer Brown is about to break out ... Gregg Rousseau is young and huge
-
Alabama is looking Sharp versus Western Kentucky

Stud
-
Absolutely but it's hard to keep a guy as a top 3 because he has good vision He needs to become a great pass protector and be a safety outlet and stick on 3rd downs
-
Unfortunately there's a lot of RBs And he doesn't have blazing speed or world class power
-
And I'm not taking anything against Travis Hunter who is supposed to be by all accounts very humble He's absolutely the best amateur football player in the country
-
He's going up against FCS receivers... He's a top 5 pick There's nobody that can match up with him on ndsu.. he has them all in his hip Pocket
-
Super talented Too bad it's tough to root for a team that doesn't play with a lot of class Flashing rolexes... And all the celebrating is really easy to root against .. coach prime turned it into a media circus I've seen plenty of guys score today in college and not even celebrate.. you would think Colorado is about to win The Natty

Barksdale has to be RB1

MAC LB U Running their 425 system really breeds 2 very seasoned backers who have to play NFL style
-
This is no offense to andreeson who I thought had on drafted free agent potential with the ability to play in the league in the right system I think dolac has fifth sixth seventh round draft capabilities A team is going to Hitch their wagon to him on draft night
