Mechanics are a huge part of a QBs game and it's something all need to work on Aaron Rodgers coming out had terrible lower body mechanics and a horrible deep ball, and plenty wondered if he would ever be able to fix that and to this day when Rogers is struggling it's because he reverts back to bad mechanics Joshs mechanical issues are not muscle memory that cannot be fixed. Its feet placement, and width, and not leaning on his back foot Using his whole lower body as a mechanism to drive the ball instead of just his amazing arm Repetition repetition repetition and a lot of these kinks will be worked out

Decent article. Everybody knows Allen has a lot to on with footwork, not really a secret. He has had a wide base and inconsistent feet since college. You see that alot with QBs with big arms because they never needed great lower body mechanics to get the ball where they wanted it to go. It was pure talent And Pat Mahomes honestly had worse footwork then Allen coming out, he just got a year on the bench to work on it while Allen was thrown to the fire And I wouldn't even call it a dumpster fire anymore, he improved alot last season When he's on his mechanics are sound, when he's off , so are his mechanics

Don't think he gets to call the shots

Because there's nothing like being a physical wide receiver and being a tight end. Lee Smith is honestly 270 280 lb, probably plays closer to 300. Duke has never put his hand in the ground once or been inline. Which tight ends are asked to do at least 70% He is a wide receiver not a tight end by any stretch. He just isn't big enough and doesn't have the skill set

Barack Obama gets called president but not George W Bush? -
Probably less skilled receivers like Zay Jones The spin and rotation on those balls from pro quarterbacks are extremely hard to handle . It's a huge jump from high school to college, and an even bigger jump to the pros That usually what separates high-end wide receivers vs depth. Not always speed or size, or even route running. But consistent hands catching NFL level throws with heat But all the best wide receivers would prefer a tight spiral with some heat.. where they can catch the ball and do something with it... versus a lollipop that gets them destroyed

Pat Mahomes had really bad footwork coming into the league and he's fixed it for the most part I think Allen has good games and bad games with footwork When games get rough all players revert back to bad tendencies in mechanics, including Aaron Rodgers The key is trying to maintain consistent mechanics throughout the course of a game

Of course and also alot of the mental side of the game is what separates players But you can't ignore the howitzer attached to Josh's shoulder. It's generational. The way the ball spins out of his hand and the release And velocity are incredible And he certainly possesses enough accuracy by looking at his intermediate numbers. And that's not even talking about how dangerous he is on the run

Shaq Lawson weighs in about some of our QBs.

Maybe you should blame Rex Ryan for stunting his growth and making him a 34 end for for 2 years And this whole edge setter thing is ridiculous. Different teams use different defensive schemes and techniques and most defensive ends are not sack artist's statistically He played a seven technique for the majority of his career under McDermott whose job was to play The run and set the edge first. Gap control football and rush on 3rd down he was not playing a nine technique which is allowed to pin his ears back and go wild all the time -

I don't know what games you were watching last year but he was really good. He'll never be a 15 sack guy, but he's a really good complete end He's never been a McDermott guy, so maybe this was the easiest time for him to let him walk without paying in 30 million dollars. It definitely wasn't because he's a crappy football player -

He's far from a bust Busts flake out of the league. He's arguably our best D end last year -

That's true. But it's not like those things I mentioned are little problems. And nobody seems to want to tackle those issues Who's defending any negative actions here? -
