I've never said I'm against a downtown stadium But if the cost is significantly more than an orchard Park I don't want the taxpayers hit over the head And they already have the infrastructure in orchard Park which is not in place downtown.. they can literally build in a lot while the current stadium is being played in I was in downtown Pittsburgh the other day.. and I'll tell you what.. it was dead.. all mom and pop shops were gone.. downtown Buffalo has had a slow proper revitalization over the last 20 years Tons of boutiques and Mom and Pop shops... The city's been on up and up I just want the bills to stay in Buffalo forever

No but like I said it's not going to do much for the bar economy either because we're smart drinkers It's a select crowd in Buffalo that party downtown... Buffalonians will absolutely get drunk at home and go to the game rather than bar hop downtown before the game

They'll be a select crowd that will bar hop downtown But the vast majority will be buying 12 packs from Wegmans pounding them at home or in their cars, and going to the stadium ... Not spending $12 a drink at a Downtown bar

I'm not against the downtown stadium.. people think it's going to add all this business to the city.. it's not Eight Sundays a year is going to do nothing for all the mom and pop shops downtown that operate 365 days a year, drop in the bucket If They build it downtown because they think it's the best spot for a football stadium perfectly fine... But it's hardly going to move the needle on the local economy

Downtown Buffalo is already developed and being developed.. it's not the east side There are already tons of mom and pop shops and Bodegas downtown .. I was in downtown Pittsburgh yesterday.. downtown Buffalo has way more going on And new stadiums have already been shown to not help the local economy... You never get back what you put in
