  1. Sometimes libertarian dads also kind of give "the talk", but from a kind of different angle of course...as soon as I got my license dad told me "Cops have the ability to end every argument or disagreement with a gun. You will lose that argument every time. Don't start it. Be polite, do what they say." And honestly I seem to recall learning the windows down/ engine off (AND STEREO, always blows me away to see people keep cranking tunes as they walk up) "rule" in driver's ed, but maybe the guy at Sears was just dropping his own knowledge, I don't know if that was actually taught to others in driver's ed.
  2. I expect ESPN to somehow tie this to Josh's old nonsense and a "culture" at the Bills in 3....2...1....
  3. I think the team with the worst record should get the highest pick. So on and so forth. Teams can trade picks if they want. Am I overthinking this thing?
  4. Top 10 if the pizza had pepperoni on it. Since it was a a plain cheese, that really hurts him in my eyes. Drops him at least 3-4 spots.
  5. Every time I don't need to watch a stinker game on a Sunday (early or late) , the Ticket is worth it's weight in gold. And with MORE Bills primetime games this year, that's MORE chance I might be watching some other game on a Sunday afternoon that might be bad. Sure, at 1pm I'm likely to get a winner, be it AFC or NFC...but that 4pm slot can be BRUTAL.
  6. Jeez I know it can happen to almost anyone but it's bad enough to draft a nut job in your normal spot...but to trade up for the privilege of doing so.....woof. And this nuttiness....seems like it must have at least been visible pre-draft? He must have had really nice feet or something.
  7. Most things related to NYC get more coverage than they really deserve. It's a little more comical considering we're discussing NYC's B-team....
  8. If she gets pregnant they're gonna have to break out the super duper paternity test....
  9. I think it all kinds of starts and ends there. They could clearly beat us in a game, it's the NFL...but as long as mr. magoo is their HC, i see no actual sustained success for them.
  10. Goddamit...my son's fav player.
  11. He can crack a perfect season bottle of champagne in heaven. Something Belichick will never be able to do. For various reasons.
  12. I agree 100% with your thought. I just try to tread carefully here so as to avoid a big fight....wall of famers and their "input" gets a lot of weight around here from some. I think it is BIGTIME overrated (like, WOAH, a LOT).
  13. I always think this stuff is way overrated so far as importance but also don't think it's too big a deal.
  14. You could not pay me to watch any new wrestling. OTOH, you couldn't pay me enough that I'd stop watching shoot videos on youtube. *****in fascinating.
  15. As the son of printers...that letter looks AWFUL. I get the idea, whatever. AWFUL.
  16. Man I have no one else to tell this to now so why not: My Giants buddy Mike and I decided we would pick an XFL team together when XFL came back. Our entire lives (he is one day younger than I, we grew up together) we never had a team in common, in fact we often rooted against each other. My 8 year watched all games with us. We bought hats, the whole deal. We were all in, for fun. It was so awesome to have a team in common for once (My wife was like...OMG I love the Bills but I can't take this XFL nonsense!) We're from CT but hank god we picked St. Louis (due to them not having an NFL team any more)...when we saw the NY fanbase full of Jets fans...we knew we chose right. So we watched every Bhawks game...but he couldn't come over for the last one as he was sick, we texted during it. Well he had gotten pneumonia, and he passed away just a few weeks ago. Given what is going on, obviously we were all worried about Corona. But that was not it. He just didn't get to the doctor to take care of himself. So we finally have a team in common...and he dies. I can say that easily, even with a smile, because the irony of it WOULD have made Mike laugh. Gonna miss my buddy, miss the XFL, and miss the Battlehawks. To me they are all kind of wrapped up together. Gonna wear my Bhawks gear (got tons of it XD) with a lot of pride and with some fond memories.
  17. This guy plays for the London franchise right? The Pumas? The Pussycats? What are they called again?
  18. Roscoe was so much fun to watch. Too bad he never really grew into a receiver (in looking up his stats to see how true that was, I saw his arrests from 2019. Yeesh...)
  19. Watching 1990 AFC Champ game right now.
  20. There aren't enough haberdashers in Buffalo for his liking anyway. And who would sell him exotic bird feathers to stick in the band? He'd have to go to the bird place on the Canadian side of Niagara. Ain't nobody got time for that. Let's not even talk about the pocket square situation. Priorities, people. Priorities.
  21. I saw the Bills snow game pop and I thought...dear god why would I want to watch that? Amazing snow, I'll never forget that punt just PLUNKING in the snow and not moving, love that we won, obviously...but the game kind of stunk! Also, my son was watching every teams best play for that year (kind of a silly idea but OK) and it was LeSean's game winning TD. Ok, it won the game, but again...meh.
  22. They should cancel the whole idea. Permanently.
  23. Didn't know where to put this...if you wanted a hat or something, now may be the time. XFL shop is 30% off until midnight tonight. Got my son a Battlehawks football, why not.
  24. I have to say, as ***** as this whole virus thing is, I was thinking it kind of freezes everything in place, and who knows for how long...so teams that were good last year and return much of their roster (ahem) I'd think have a big leg up over any team that sucked last year and had major turnover or have to start over at QB. Basically, if there's no training camps or they are shortened...continuity becomes an even bigger advantage than normal I'd think. Of course the season is so long most teams will usually find their footing somewhere. But I sure like bringing a "built" and ready team into next year. And of course, I want this virus crap to be over with ASAP.
