Wallace wasn't being truthful imo. Go back and look at the two plays that comprised the 13 second drive. The first is just a bad misread of the situation; they're in prevent which gives up the easy yards to Hill. The next call looks just like 2man w/corners (importantly BOTH corners) playing trail technique. That's not on Levi Wallace when the look is 2man and both DBs are in trail w outside leverage. That's a bad playcall, not bad execution.

To be clear I think we are 3 seasons minimum removed from that.

I believe McDermott is 10th among active coaches in win%, 11th in playoff appearances, and obviously tied for last in Super Bowls. I’d argue his spot in the top 10 is very debatable.

Personally the fact that their period of dominance is forever tarnished in the eyes of most football fans due to verifiable cheating is enough for me.

McDermott's teams have shown the same tendencies, and he actually lost to Bill O'Brien in the playoffs. Shanahan has taken JimmyG to the Super Bowl and an NFCCG, that's got to count for something

IMO there are clearly 5-7 coaches who are above McDermott- the three aforementioned, Tomlin/McVay/Shanahan, then any combination of Vrabel/McDermott/Reich you prefer
