Brady Effect: QBs playing into their 40's the new norm?
GoBills808 replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually see it going backwards tbh QBs are asked to do more physically and they're making tons more $$ -

that is the big right miss lol on the golf course im something of a connoisseur -
Couldn't agree more on the route running We just aren't talented enough, in all areas including coaching, to be polished in the postseason It's why this current iteration of the Bills will not be able to win a super Bowl. After that game Sunday I am sure of it
-
Just more down field and direct. Take it for granted that the wideouts are getting clamped but get Kincaid/Knox on their LBs, try to get them in man and then let Allen run loose. I liked the heavy set w Edwards at sniffer but it just got too predictable and unproductive...playing looser creates more margin for error. Everything was just wound way too tight Imo they knew they couldn't blitz to generate pressure and that informed their whole approach on offense to try to shorten the game, but once you're just not stopping them it's time to switch tactics

No I mean I hated the gameplan on offense, the play calling was fine There is imo nothing about this roster that suggests we would be able to beat the Chiefs playing posession
-
Of course they do lol
-
I still hate the approach on offense tbh It only worked because we got lucky Mahomes missed two easy throws for and Hardman fumbled through the end zone if were being honest, final score should probably have been 38-24

What realistic coaching changes do you expect?

Both units got worse after the moves were made so I'd say yeah they were the wrong ones -

Heard some stat today that in the history of the NFL there have been 3 seasons where a QB accounted for 50+TDs regular/postseason and didn't make the championship Allen has 2 of them lol
-
Not including kneeldowns You can get as much mileage as you like from the injuries excuse
-
The defense gave up a staggering 8.5yards PER PLAY they gave up a wholly ridiculous OVER ONE HALF POINT PER OFFENSIVE PLAY this wasn't some brave attempt at hanging tough by an injured unit, this was a nuclear meltdown and one of the worst defensive performances I can remember masked only by the fact that the offense threw the football equivalent of a no hitter

Diggs drop and Sherfield dropx2 Not complicated

No it was more than that Our defensive injuries didn't cause Diggs and Sherfield to forget how to catch the football Nobody on this team outside Allen can perform in the clutch staff included -

Mahomes heroics are throwing to a wide open Kelce on repeat and a 5yard slant that Tyreek Hill took to the house -

Of course it was The Chiefs were averaging over A HALF POINT PER OFFENSIVE PLAY...that is absolute ***** insanity. If the offense hadn't played a near perfect game script and Mahomes doesn't misfire twice in the redzone we are getting run out of the building -
No they dont

that is an impossible threshold for success imo against one of if not the best defense in the league a clean game where we played a clean game and held the ball about as long as humanly possible...it just makes the margin for victory impossibly thin if we also need to have the ball last
