  1. what should worry you about the mcdermott may become reid argument (aside from the litany of logical fallacies and statistical inconsistencies) is all the people making it are looking at it from McDermott's side and not the Bills' reid didn't win anything in Philadelphia
  2. going to ask again are we dropping the drought era coach into the 2024 bills or are we dropping 2024 allen into the drought
  3. It's not a lack of discipline that's responsible for that INT adot, at least not primarily imo I can think of several that were deep on third down... basically punts
  4. I don't have any issue blaming the Jets loss on allen in its entirety
  5. i don't care about the jets game...at this point i only really care about the playoffs. in that sense i give credit to McDermott for creating the environment for higher expectations. under his leadership we now have a consistent winning culture and that's no small achievement. the reason i asked is because in our recent eliminations our defense minded HC has presided over some absolute capitulations. i'm talking worst defense in the league type outings. the fact that it's been happening w such regularity on his side of the ball is why i'm out on McDermott and have been for some time now. he's the tua tagovailoa of HCs- great stats, can't get it done when it matters.
  6. playoff game/super bowl on the line do you want the offense or the defense on the field last?
  7. If you like I can pull up the numbers again They do not support it
  8. I think that's very optimistic tbh considering we very nearly missed the playoffs this past yr w a better roster
  9. Depends Do they get the same AFCeast sans Brady that we currently enjoy? If so I would say about as well as we have under McDermott
  10. yeah the whole argument doesn't fly w me anymore. bengals defense doesn't have any trouble slowing down the chiefs in the playoffs. neither did the ravens or niners. we are the only one that just implodes in crunch time
  11. the conceit is that 'well Mahomes and the Chiefs are in the way, so of course we can't win' which disregards the extent to which we routinely get abused on defense in the postseason. Even a mediocre defensive performance in either 2021 or 2023 would have been enough to get past the Chiefs twice...supposedly McDermott's area of expertise
  12. Allen was the only guy who came to play that game lol people really do have short memories
  13. he cant get past the bengals either
  14. I think it's tough to quantify a coach's development because the only real metrics are win%, playoff/superbowls/championship games etc...all very results oriented and not necessarily tied to the HC Personally to echo @JauronimoI would like to see a defense that can either sustain its regular season level into the postseason or even play better. Thus far I am very disappointed in a HC w a defensive background finding his defense completely outclassed in the playoffs.
  15. agree in 2022 Von Miller didn't play fewer than 70% of snaps if the game didn't end up decided by over 3TDs great players just dont come off the field often
  16. it will be very difficult to improve on his 2023 season he was 1st by a lot in Value over avg, 1st in CPOE, 3rd in success rate, 1st by a lot in ELO, 3rd in epa/dropback, 2nd in win%added...it was by far his best season
  17. Don't think that's right
  18. That guys a plus handicap guaranteed
  19. are you suggesting gender identity is communicable lmfao
  20. You think empathizing w the disenfranchised is 'emotionally soft' lol wager your definition of preparedness for life is significantly narrower than average
  21. wrong from your link: ...'Not the deadly sin sort of pride that has an entire month dedicated to it...'
  22. i always saw it as the phrase alligator arms was alliterative, and thus maybe a bit frivolous, so denoting cowardice was a reasonable connection whereas t-rex arms could be descriptive of an unfortunate physical feature on an otherwise capable specimen
  23. Yeah but Tua is significantly better than Garoppolo anyway I agree w your overall point on Niners weapons
  24. Let's leave a bit of room for Purdy>jimmy G
  25. Only over half the speech tho
