On this Veterans Day Bills fans should especially remember Bob Kalsu. Bob was the only U.S. professional athlete to die in Viet Nam. He is memorialized on the Bills Wall of Fame and his life and career documented with a cover story on Sports Illustrated in 2001 . Bob was an All American tackle at Oklahoma and became a starting guard for the Bills in 1968. He was voted the teams top rookie but enlisted at the end of the season. Tragically, he was killed in Vietnam in 1970 This summer I donated my sailboat to a Buffalo waterfront organization a group which teaches veterans, handicapped and underprivileged children how to sail and be safe on the water. When asked what I wanted to name the boat , as a Bills fan since 1948, I immediately thought naming it for a Bill might mean something to these kids. After some thought I decided if they named the boat the Kalsu that might be something that could bring to light a forgotten Bills hero who had given his life for our country. This group does outstanding work bringing joy and maturity to a group of kids and others who otherwise might never have the fun enjoying the water that has been such a big part of many of our lives. If any of you are interested in supporting the memory of Bob Kalsu they can be reached at http://www.buffalocommunityboathouse.org

Chiefs problem is their receivers

Several times a game the announcers say nobody is open as the qb tosses the ball away upfield, near nobody and usually out of bounds— is that not a penalty? I’ve never seen it called as such, so how on earth what Josh did, a penalty?

There are no perfect quarter backs ( or other humans) but Josh is d..mn good!!!

Any chance they try a wildcat with Cunningham? -
In watching the Sabres last night I saw Devon Levi (aka the Beast) was wearing 27. Coincidence, in honor of Tre, or was he the first Graduate??

While Tua has been red hot and Hill and Waddle are devastating weapons it would not surprise me if the Fish are scheming to primarily use their running game to keep Josh and our O off the field. Mostert has had big games against us and Achane seems as scary fast as Breece Hall. Mix in a few quick slants to Tyreek and we could get burned for some long plays

your math is correct

As someone who has been a fan for 75 years since my first Bills disappointment in 1948 I can say that continual disappointment doesn’t always lead to permanent negativity. I think that it is just human nature with all it’s variability that leads to differing reactions to situations. The spectrum extends from those who always know better (in hindsight) to those who never disagree with the majority view and maintain they and their viewpoint are never wrong despite reality staring them in the face. I think most of us are somewhere in the middle and we vary from being positive or negative depending on a whole host of factors ranging from their childhood experiences to whether their wife was in a good mood last night. In the end, most of us here are Bills fans regardless of the prism through which we view our team.

Don Calhoun I took my 11 year old son to see a Bills preseason game vs. the Giants in 1974. The game was close and we had a new unnamed puppy. I told my son that if the Bills won, whoever scored the winning touchdown would have the honor of having our new dog named for him. Calhoun, a 10th round draft backup to O.J. scored, winning the game and our beloved German Shepherd that was part of our family for 11 years was forever known as Calhoun !!

Fully agree with this but we still need a backup QB. My vote would be Brisket if he's affordable. If money is too tight take a fling on a low draft pick all Mr. Irrelevant! spell check for Brisett!

It was perfect! The perspective of a negative nancy to a T. Obviously we have a terrible coach, a blind GM and a quarterback who takes too many chances😀 -
you can get cbs in Buffalo but it can't carry TNF because it only is on Prime

I mentioned in the Amazon prime thread that I, as American, spending the summer in Canada, tried to watch the game on my Amazon Prime account was not able. to my disgust, to watch the game. I later learned that it was available in my area of Canada (Crystal Beach) on Cogeco the local cable provider from a Canadian channel called CTV 2. I don't know if was available to Canadians with a Canadian Amazon Prime account but I was surprised it was on regular cable TV.

I'm a little surprised to see my picture. I actually went to that game when I was 11 and have been a lifelong BBFS member since .that time. I know we lost, I think 28-7. Browns had a lot of great players besides Graham and Motley. Dante Lavelli and Lou the toe Groza were others I remember. I was bitterly disappointed when the AAFC folded and the Bills didn't get in the NFL. The excuse from Bert Bell the commissioner was "scheduling difficulties". I think I may have been 13 or so at the time but I made up a schedule for the whole new league including the Bills and sent it to him, but of course never heard back. One other historical note that may be of interest that in 1965 ( I think) I was a radiology resident living in Boston when the Bills had a big game against the Patsies. We couldn't afford tickets but I wrote a letter to Ralph begging his help and he sent us two free tickets! Of course, we lost that game too!
