  1. A WR or another CB would be nice.
  2. I was having a great time yesterday, up until Allen's fumble when the game went off the rails and a loss seemed inevitable. Allen did his best, but ultimately he failed. He had multiple opportunities throughout the second half and overtime to seal a win and was unable to do so against one of the league's worst defenses.
  3. Josh has to improve dramatically next year. It will be his third season under the same coach likely in the same offense. He'll have most of his offensive weapons back, including Singletary, Brown and Beasley, and the veteran line will mostly be back. With a couple free agents or draft picks inserted into the offense to shore up the line and weapons, there will be no more excuses. He needs to take a step forward, and live on the cusp of being a top 10 passer. His QB rating needs to be north of 95 and he needs to have the offense scoring more than 23 points a game. These are all pretty average marks so it's not like I'm expecting the world. If we see more of the same, wit the completion rate below 60% and his QB rating in the mid 80s, we need to consider different options ahead of the 2021 season in what's looking like an absolutely loaded QB draft class. As you said, he can't keep chugging along as a bottom 10 passer and expect to get $30 mil a season. That would be absolutely nuts for the franchise to do.
  4. Josh in a nutshell is the last throw he attempted yesterday. After the penalty, facing 3rd and 24 from the Buffalo 43 yardline against the Texans D, with their secondary giving a 20 yard cushion to our receivers. Josh takes the snap, looks to his right, and throws the ball at Duke Williams feet, incomplete, with the nearest defender being 20 yards away. Josh has a nice highlight reel, but his inability to execute simple passes like that one is why his QB Rating is so low, and why ultimately why our offense scores so few points.
  5. Watson did nothing because our defense was playing out of their minds. They pitched a shut out against one of the top 4 QBs in the NFL for 40 minutes while all our offense could do was kick field goals. We have the 2nd best defense in the NFL. They've carried this team all year, compensating for their horrible offense that struggled all year to score points. Week after week, Bills fans have to tear down the coaches and other 52 guys on the roster to justify why Allen isn't the problem. It's always coaching, the line, the defense not holding the other team to 10 points, whatever. For whatever reason, some people seem happy to ignore that our QB fumbles the ball at a clip not seen from any other NFL QBs, he tries to throw interceptions that miraculously bounce off the hands of defenders, and he throws passes to fullbacks down the field who are in double coverage. Somehow all of that gets ignored. With better QB play, like the calibre of play the Texans got from Watson, the Bills blow out the Texans in an absolute laugher.
  6. Their All Pro was getting covered by our All Pro. Our pass catchers were being covered by one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. Texans are 29th in yards, 25th in QB rating, 28th in pass TDs, 21st in completion %. Their pass D is bad, and all Allen could do was complete 52% of his throws, for no passing TDs, a QB Rating of 69 and a yards per attempt of a dreadful 5.7 yards. Watson willed his team to victory. Our guy imploded in the second half. Watson is so much better than Allen. No chance we'd have only scored 1 TD against the crappy Texans defense with him at QB.
  7. Calling Allen the hero of the first half is crazy. 7 of our points came on a drive dominated by trick plays called by the Offensive Coordinator you're ragging on. Otherwise we did very little offensively. With Allen it's always someone else's fault. When he plays poorly, someone else always seems to get the blame for Allen's struggles as a passer against competent competition. The Texans pass D is horrible and Allen couldn't perform. Our QB posted another rating below 70 against a team that's allowed an average rating of 97.6 this season (25th in the NFL).
  8. I watched the game yesterday with a bunch of friends, none of which are Bills fans. They thought Allen was downright bad minus his running ability. There were a couple nice throws, but way too many balls are put in danger, he fumbles the ball an absurd number of times, and he seems to make 3-4 insanely dumb decisions every week that somehow usually go unpunished by the opposition. Allen needs to improve dramatically next year for him to be the guy. Two years in, and his career QB rating is still below 80, and he ranked near the bottom of the NFL in most passing categories this year. Somehow Allen continues to make the impossible throws look easy, while making the easy throws look extremely challenging. Right now the schedule looks much more daunting than the one he faced this year, and he's going to have to step up considerably (QB Rating up by 10 points) to expect us to win 10 games again. Seattle, San Fran, the Rams, Cardinals, Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders, Steelers, Titans plus our division will be a major challenge unless Allen can rank in the top half of the NFL as a passer.
  9. Allen's fumble seemed to really spark the Texans. Prior to that the game felt like it was in control. As soon as it happened, it felt like we were going to lose.
  10. Yup, we're supposed to just ignore that one guy needed to throw the ball 46 times to do it and the other needed 25 attempts. One had a QB rating over 120, and the other below 70. If Watson was our QB yesterday, we win by 30. He's so much better than Allen in every facet of the game.
  11. Barkley has looked bad because he's a horrible player. We didn't play New England. We played the Houston Texans, who are near the bottom of the NFL in every defensive category, and we failed to score 20 points yet again. Our QB took another terrible grounding penalty on the cusp of field goal range, and his fumble was critical in giving the Texans comeback life. As I said last night, switch the QBs, and with Watson on our team we win a laugher by 30+ points.
  12. This board is filled with homers who don't watch anyone but the Bills play football. Two weeks ago, 8 people went on record saying they wouldn't take Lamar Jackson over Josh Allen. Totally insane.
  13. Deshaun Watson is one of the top 4 QBs in football. At some point they were going to score. When they did, our QB responded by fumbling the ball away in our own territory, and at that point the Texans and their home field advantage smelled blood in the water. Our offense is terrible. We can't consistently score 19 points a game, including yesterday when we faced one of the worst defenses in football.
  14. In other words, when we rely on Josh Allen to make plays and be the focal point on offense, we lose.
  15. The Texans pass D is very bad. The Bills asked Josh to attack their weakness, and he mostly struggled to execute. We had a prime opportunity for a big game against a bad defense, and we still couldn't score 20 points.
  16. The Texans were 29th in pass defense this year.
  17. Singletary is our best player on offense. He was excellent tonight.
  18. The Texans are 29th in the NFL in pass yardage allowed, and 25th in QB Rating allowed. The decision to throw a lot wasn't incorrect.
  19. It happens? When have you ever seen a QB try what Allen did? The others he does all the time...
  20. 100%. I picked it up following college many years ago. Got sick of the commercials and time you have to put into an NFL game. Soccer. Game over in under 2 hours and often in the morning so you have your full day ahead of you.
  21. I'm a fan who sees our QB consistently let us down against good opposition.
  22. I've never seen anything like it. He makes the hard look easy and the easy look extremely hard. His decision making, particularly when we can score points, is often horrible. Our top 3 defense played a huge part in that.
  23. He gets one more year to show major improvement. If the bone head plays and lack of awareness doesn't improve drastically, time to find someone new. He needs to start completing the easy passes to wide open guys regularly. This team is a QB away from contending for a Super Bowl.
  24. This year, definitely Tottenham. It's been unwatchable most of the time. The next 8 weeks looks like it could be brutal without Kane and a competent defense.
  25. Deshaun Watson is a star in the NFL. Swap him with a below average QB like Allen and win in a blowout.
