It’s a foolish debate. Each matchup is a different beast. You have to be willing to adjust but also need to know when to be patient and allow for your own players to execute the game plan. Having a “feel” for the game is a real thing and all good coaches have it. That is knowing when and when not to abandon the game plan .

Not weird to me. Look how many of them weren’t brought in via the draft, then look at the pathetic contracts. Bodine got something like 5 mill for 2 years. The guy they did pay (Wood) and the one they lowballed (Incog) are now retired. If you’re not drafting quality olinemen you are over paying for them in FA. Beane hasn’t had time to draft them and it looks like he refuses to overpay interior guys.

Blaming the expansion process for the Sabres being terrible is such a lame excuse. The NHL has a hard salary cap, each team has an equal chance of developing and retaining talent. This isn’t MLB! The Sabres have no one to blame but themselves, they have been around long enough they should develop a process and follow it. If the new GM fails, have the Pegula dog pick the next one.

Yeah I was surprised at how low it is. Well my age group wasn’t old enough to enjoy the original big 3. All I remember is Larry Bird’s bad back and some miracle three against the Pacers one series. Reggie Lewis was the only good player until Walker and Pierce had a few good runs. Plenty of years watching Radja, Gamble, and Sherman Douglas dropping his floater.
