How many other coaches can beat Reid? McDermott has a better record vs Reid than any other coach. As has been said in other o posts, we need to develop a first rate defense.

Is it time to move on from McDermott?

You were the one that said you were leaving. I was just bidding you adieu. -

Okay. See ya. -
I am with you on that game. I was in junior high and that loss was a soul crushing defeat. I met Len Dawson at an autograph show in Chicago in the 90's. The first thing I said to him was "you broke my heart". His expression was like "oh no, what is coming next". I said to him, he beat the Bills to go to the first Suoer Bowl. His face lit up with a big smile "the old rock pile. They only had 2 showers in the visiting locker room and only one worked". He was a really good guy. It's time for payback. Get it done! GOOOOOO BILLS!!!!!!!!

On the other hand, our defense did hold Henry to 84 yards.

The national media narrative since the Bills won

And Josh had over a minute and a half to drive down the field for a field goal to win the game. -
You Lose. Good day sir!

Being nitpicky: please let Allen pass the ball more

This is a much stronger team this year compared to last year's team. -
Good post. I believe that KC's defense is more vulnerable than what the Bills delt with against the Ravens. Our defense is vulnerable against the pass. I look for a shoot out like in 2020. The difference could be the Bills ability to run the ball, dominate time of possession, and keep Mohome on the bench. I have more hope the Bills could win on Sunday, but I would say I am confident.

Let's not change what is working. Our balanced, ball controlled offense is doing just fine thank you. The more we keep Mahome off the field the better we are. -
AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
longtimebillsfan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't forget the Dolphins. Some predicted the Bills would finish third or fourth in the division . -
That is a great point. KC seems to get bailed out so often on failed 3rd down attempts with either defensive holding or a pi call. We will have to overcome this bias next week. KC does not have as strong a defense as the Ravens. Hopefully we can control time of possession similar to the Broncos game.

Divisional Round, Ravens v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!

Bills 31 Ravens 27 Make it happen. GO BILLS!!! -
The opening line from Vegas did have the Bilkscas 1 to 1.5 point favorites. The bets that came in quickly moved the line in favor of the Ravens. It's understandable for people to jump on a line favoring the Bills over the Ravens. Public perception is not always accurate.

I agree with everything you posted. We all want a superbowl victory and we are all frustrated. But I believe we are truely blessed to have McDermott and Beane running game our franchise. We have never had this much consistency and stability. Beane has shown resourcefulness in working within the constraints of the salary cap to put the best team possible on the field. Hopefully we get that Lombardi trophy soon. GO BILLS!!!
-
Okay then. Enjoy your misery. Just let the rest of us enjoy the ride. These are the good old days my friend.
-
Absolutely. You are making unsupported assumptions to justify your frustration we all feel about the Bills moving beyond KC. The fact you don't want to hear is that McDermott is one of the two most successful head coaches in the entire life of the Bills franchise. McDermott is not getting replaced if the Bills lose on Sunday.

A 3rd consecutive Divisional Round home loss? No chance
longtimebillsfan replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott was not the one who missed the game tying field goal vs KC in last year's playoff. McDermott’s teams have comer closer to nicking off KC in the last few years than any other coach. Who would you replace McDrrmott with? Please don't say Belichick. That would be a very short term hire. -
If the issue in your post is the lack of addressing glaring needs on defense, isn't that an issue for Beane? The fact that McDermott has had such success in light of the short comings of the defense should support keeping McDermott.

No most. Just the few cry babies.
