  1. I was thinking @Howard. Who had some comic gold moments with @Jimmy Spagnola - and anyone that didn't get it - which included me until I caught on.
  2. Under the guise of sharing Devo's Jocko *****...is it just me or is that Tawm Brady on the cover?
  3. There's traffic in the sky And it doesn't seem to be getting much better There's kids playing games on the pavement Drawing waves on the pavement, mm Shadows of the planes on the pavement, mm
  4. Today (actually a minute ago) I learned that the singer of this song was not a woman. Another Jackie courtesy of The Ramones:
  5. You called it.
  6. Just saw that Ullmark got a misconduct - off the top of my head I don't remember seeing a goalie get tossed for a fight with anyone let alone with a non-goalie. As to Isles, I had high hopes this morning that we'd make this a series - now I just hope we can get the series back home. Credit to the Canes for playing more disciplined and better in general. At the same time there have been some head-scratching calls and non-calls by the refs - always more infuriating when you're losing.
  7. Bolded is exactly how I feel - and to be clear, my hope is that Megill can be better than a #4, just getting frustrated seeing starters having problems going deeper than 5. Hell, I expect my #5 to go 5 or more.
  8. Who the heck is this guy Brigham? Never heard of him, nice two innings so far.
  9. I didn't have the heart to post the my name is Michael, I have a nickel song. Polar opposite: Rancid - Maxwell Murder
  10. Sometimes I laugh and sometimes I cry Other times I sit and wonder why Sometimes I'm up and sometimes I'm down Other times I wanna blow this town
  11. I can't wait till my Fro is full-grown I'll just throw 'way my Doo-Rag at home I'll take a drive to BEVERLY HILLS Just before dawn An' knock the little jockeys Off the rich people's lawn
  12. Experiments that failed too many times Transformations that were too hard to find Poison's in my bloodstream Poison's in my pride I'm after rebellion I'll settle for lies
  13. I see Peterson and Megill both topping out as a #4 or #5 innings eater. They'll show flashes, but as you said just enough to let you down. Problem is Carrasco is trending towards the same. When we got Carrasco I thought he was a solid #3, maybe a #2 in a good year. Good to hear about Uceta, I didn't have the game on yesterday and missed that. Between the loss of Diaz and Verlander and lack of innings from the starters that bullpen is under a lot of duress. On the plus side we have an opportunity to go 8-2 on this West Coast swing!
  14. Wow - can't remember the last time I heard Even It Up!
  15. Or eat them before they go stale.
  16. @ExWNYer @Gugny @Another Fan Did we finally reverse the curse of letting guys go before they break out? I'm thinking of Murph and Justin Turner vs. Nimmo. Too early to tell, but Nimmo looks possessed and his comments about not playing in the WBC cuz he's focused on the Mets resonate. On the downside, I have no idea how this bullpen doesn't get burned out. It may not be deep enough if our $80 mill worth of starters can't pitch every 5 days - AND pitch into the 7th on occasion.
