  1. I appreciate the sentiment of your initial thread and respect that you deleted it...didn't realize that was an option.
  2. Troll much? In what world is beating a 2-0 team and a 3-0 team (SB runner-up) less impressive than beating a 1-3 team who has only beat an 0-4 team!
  3. 1st quarter MVP? Is that a thing? That TT would have achieved if not for one incompletion? I am more than content with 3-1 and how the team and TT are playing. Looking forward to similar results in the next 12 games and then we can talk about whether TT is MVP worthy (I hope he is!)
  4. A guy finds a genie bottle, rubs it and the genie appears and tells the guy: "I will grant you three wishes. However, I know that you are divorced and you should know that whatever wishes I grant you, your ex-wife will receive the same but two-fold". The guy is so excited about his good fortune he blurts out: I want a beautiful new house on the beach! Poof, he gets his new house but the genie informs him that his ex-wife now has two new beautiful homes on the beach. The guy presses on and asks for a billion dollars. Poof, the money appears but the genie informs him that his ex-wife now has 2 billion dollars. The guy is happy for himself but pissed about his ex wife. With one wish left he thinks long and hard until he makes his third request: I want you to beat me half to death.
  5. Mirror mirror on the wall who brought Tyrod into this thread?
  6. Similar tastes...saw the Creeping Death post!
  7. I'm new to this band (they've been around for awhile), but I like them. Not breaking any new ground, but if you like any combination of Black Keys, Ozzy/Sabbath, The Cult, Cinderella,...might be worth checking out
  8. Given your choices I think maybe it's time for Joe Miner to step up to the mike.
  9. Have any of the stories/solutions shared by TBDers of overcoming bullies compared to the 18 year old who was compelled to arm himself with a switchblade to defend against bullying from 15/16 year olds? Scalding coffee comes closest if I assume it was pre-meditated. I suspect this may have occurred in an environment that few of us are familiar with or can relate to. Regardless, my personal opinion is that the parent of the bully has the greatest influence over preventing bullying.
  10. I saw the show a few times, some were better than others but the concept and the band were both great. If you haven't heard this, check it out. I think it crushes:
  11. This is such a tired thread. Of course he deserves a spot on the Wall. The real debate is whether he goes into Canton as a Bill.
  12. And it ties right into their sponsorship: "All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi,..."
  13. I wasn't familiar with the hologram project. I know there's bad blood amongst the Zappa kid, what a shame. Putting family strife aside, it's a cool idea.
  14. Have you seen Dweezil and the Zappa Plays Zappa shows? First time I saw them they played Muffin Man with Frank on video providing the solo.
  15. Foo Fighters would be good until Grohl unloads a fusillade of F-bombs. Gwar has the Beavis and Butthead seal of approval so even though I've never heard them, thumbs up. Roger Waters would make things interesting. Maybe Neil Young could join him on stage. Kiss would be entertaining. EDIT: I forgot they already played a SB half-time
  16. Sunday was my first time at the stadium since 2000. I'd read a number of horror stories on this board about the crowd behavior and was a bit apprehensive since I'd be with my wife and kids. I saw a few minor things but nothing notable. On the other hand, I've been to a number of Jets games in the interim and I judge crowd behavior by the number of upper deck fights/brawls. I consider one or two to be a well-behaved crowd. I pretty much expect to see security rushing to the upper rows a few times a game.
  17. Are you an OSU football fan? If so, read on. My son just entered high school and is in the marching band. I had heard a few years ago that our marching band is head and shoulders above the others in the area. Our football team not so much. So I go to the first game of the year to see my son play at half-time and this player on the other team (Lindenhurst) just wrecks the game, a man among boys. WR, LB and kicker. Unstoppable. The next morning I pick up the Sunday paper and he's front and center on the high school section...and he's committed to OSU as a tight end. Here's the story: http://www.newsday.com/sports/high-school/football/ohio-state-football-commit-jeremy-ruckert-ready-for-a-big-senior-year-at-lindenhurst-1.14107369 And if you're interested in a high school marching band that doesn't suck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9H6dyzlWwoc
  18. Nobody ever said a marching band would sell out a stadium. I believe OP was saying he's been to games where the marching band was great but the home team wasn't that day. I guess I'm the highly unlikely anyone who is a Bills fan with zero ties to OSU that saw the video I linked to above and was impressed and cares enough to check out their performances on youtube. The Kinnick Stadium comment was just silly.
  19. I came across this a few years back and it is outstanding. At one point OSU band is playing Frankenstein and march as Frankenstein playing guitar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UFW72NeTgg
  20. I know I've seen this in other threads but my search skills must be lacking and I couldn't find it. How long should I expect to wait in a security line getting in to the game on Sunday and is there a preferred entrance or just luck of the draw?
