Did you know that about Duda and Putz off the top of your head? Regardless good info. Putz is probably the better comp since he pitched. What the heck is a hyper-extended elbow anyway? Near dislocation? Agreed on the hitting. Cespedes is locked in but we need Bruce to go on a tear and Conforto needs to get it together too.

I turned on the game around the 3rd inning to check the score and they were talking up DeGrom saying he was the quiet ace compared to Harvey a few years ago and then Thor. I assumed he was having a good game but had to run out to pick up my son. When I came back it was the 5th and Sewald was in the game. Uh oh. Hyper-extended elbow. That does not sound good. We're barely into May. Crazy start to the season. That's the most positive thing I've heard. Better on a swing than a throw IMO. Still the right elbow from what I heard.

Why did Giselle say no to the Speedo? Hoodie always has me covered.

I think Paul Gilbert tried to pack in as many rock 'n roll cliches as he could on Spaceship One. Lyrics and songs were pretty derivative and probably just an excuse to shred, rock and half a laugh along the way. The album grew on me. "Terrible Man" is a good example, I love it for the solo and outro (the album also has a song "Good Man"). Anyway, this ones for you Russ Brandon:

He should've headed down to TJ like you and Blue and ate the worm! Actually there's a different worm he should eat. I guess they can't send him to the minors? Time to bury him on the bench, release him or trade him for nothing to a crappy AL team.

RD1, Pick 7: Josh Allen QB - Wyoming
SinceThe70s replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I preferred Allen over Rosen for that very reason. Saw Rosen on TV back in March and his body language and demeanor turned me off. I know that doesn't compare to dissecting hours of film and comparing their QBing abilities, but it was a discriminator for me. Had we picked Rosen I'd be 100% behind him but with a nagging feeling that it wasn't going to work out....actually not too different than how I feel about Allen right now just for different reasons. -
Socks, tats, wristwatches...however you roll, I'm sure you do Augie exceedingly well.

So you admit to wearing socks every day? The pieces to the Augie puzzle start to take shape.

EXACTLY why I think Beane blew the '18 draft. -Rd. 1
SinceThe70s replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Couldn't you have just PM'd the two of them? And please confirm that the Rd 1 suffix is like History of the Word Part 1 and there will be no Rd/Part 2. -
Nice call. Mets put up 4 in less than 5 on him. 4-5 road trip that felt worse than that to me. Next 6 games are at home with Noah and Jacob starting 3. Good opportunity to get the arrow pointed back in the right direction. BTW - Keith did say he didn't like the head first slide and that sliding feet first gets you there just as fast. But it wasn't classic Keith.

Not at home, but it's on when I leave the house. I have a Bulova that I wear most of the time and a $20 Casio when I don't want the Bulova to get beaten up (fishing, skiing, heavy drinking...). The wedding ring and Casio are rarely on at the same time.

This was before my time, but years ago the Boston Braves had two great pitchers: Warren Spahn and Johnny Sain and the saying went "Spahn and Sain and pray for rain". Not sure why I'm reminded of that now I really don't like calling an early season game a must win, but we're on a steady downward trajectory and sure could use one today.
-
True, but maybe they like the QB they have on the bench more than using a high pick on one of this years class. Beats me. My friends think they'll be addressing the line tonight. It is kind of interesting that both the Giants and Cowboys used high picks on a position that most people don't value that highly.
-
No doubt. IMO the big mistake they made last year was starting Geno. The backlash from the fans led to the firing of McAdoo and then they were almost forced to go back to Eli and never got a chance to see Webb. Might have been better to wait an extra week and give Webb the start. I still have no idea why they thought starting Geno was a good idea or even needed.
-
I know two who are both ecstatic. Giants are trying to win this year. Still work to do on the offensive line, but Solder was a good start. And with OBJ, Saquon and Engram they have weapons. Say what you want about Eli, he has two rings and they obviously think he still has some gas left in the tank. Bottom line, is they have a better chance winning this year drafting Saquon instead of one of the four QB's each of which has question marks and may never pan out.

Can't argue that stranding Ces didn't hurt, but the closer had two out nobody on and couldn't finish. And once again we waste a strong outing from an ace. Need to win this next series and get back on track. A good start by Vargas would make me feel better about this team.

where is everyone watching the draft

I'll be keeping tabs on my phone in between songs at the high school spring concert. I live in the heart of Jet country and expect to hear a collective groan from the audience after pick #3. -
The Mets were up 1-0 after two batters. Don't bring me down man
-
Would love a win today. Ace on the mound coming off last nights smackdown, an opportunity to win a series after losing the last two and would put us in decent shape for a winning road trip. Lets Go Mets!

Is it fair to judge Josh Allen based on tweets?
SinceThe70s replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. And I think it says more about the team than it does about Allen. What a douchey move to sand bag the kid the night before the draft. -
DC traffic cams are being vandalized

About two years ago the neighboring county put speed cameras by schools and over the course of a few months generated a lot of revenue. Problem was the public uproar led the local politicians to decide that they valued their chance of re-electon more than the extra revenue and they stopped the program. Pretty sure I got popped by a red light camera for the first time last night. Rolling stop on a right on red. Oh well. -

Bills the worst team in the NFL this season?
SinceThe70s replied to Seanbillsfan2206's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What makes you so sure that "a few" teams will tank in 2018? Do you assume this is a yearly/common occurrence? If so, which teams tanked in 2017? If not, why is 2018 different? -
Or Howard. One of the funniest thing ever posted was the Bills scout blasting the front office:
