"He doesn’t even book round-trip tickets. Bill buys one-ways and then decides when he wants to go home"
Nice timing. Spent yesterday fishing with a close friend I hadn't seen since Covid and on the way home somehow the conversation turned to Bill Murray's crazy life.
Oh, here it comes
Well, train, train, take me on out of this town Train, train, Lord, take me on out of this town Well, that woman I'm in love with, Lord, she's Memphis bound
I got lucky and hooked my 14 year old up with a baseball team after we found out that the local little league didn't have enough players. Watching practices and a scrimmage has been a welcome sight this past week.
Outstanding! Thanks for sharing.
I'd love to know the back story. Did Tommy have a child or grandchild in the orchestra? And who the eff has a harp player these days?!?!
I work hard (he works hard) every day of my life
I work 'til I ache in my bones
At the end (at the end of the day)
I take home my hard earned pay all on my own
I get down (down) on my knees (knees)
And I start to pray
'Til the tears run down from my eyes
Lord, somebody (somebody), ooh somebody
(Please) can anybody find me somebody to love?
Take me for a ride Take me all the way Take me where I've never been Someplace I can stay Don't get yourself too hot Don't get yourself too high If we don't take it easy now We can kiss it all goodbye
Cool the engines Slow this rocket down Cool the engines Why don't ya take a look around
Same song. Never knew 'my version' was a cover. Cool, thanks for that.
As an aside, Mike Nesmith (The Monkeys) was executive producer of Repo Man and I always assumed a big influence on the soundtrack.
I was about to post the link below about the Wilpons accepting initial bids today for the sale of the Mets when I flipped to SNY in time to see Lowrie take DeGrom to deep center and Yoenis put one over the wall against Lugo at Citi Field today. Mets games coming and the Wilpons (potentially) going was good to see today. Stromans hair? Not so much.

Most of the soundtracks I like are collections of songs I already knew. I don't think I knew anything from Repo Man when I first heard it. Easily my favorite too!
Low country blushing bride, blind to the ways of time Clear crystal burning mind, (she flies) Falling through liquid air with music everywhere Stone faces silent stare, (she flies) The old guard on the hill can feel the chill Deep into the freeze of those who don't believe
Been a long time (Waiting on love) Been a long time (Waiting on love) Been a long time (Waiting on love) Been a long time (Waiting on love)
Today I went to the supermarket (shortly after I saw this thread). There was no corral, but they had a guy working the parking lot. I put my cart to the curb between the front of my car and the car next to me before I left. Made sure it wouldn't roll. I feel like I did my civic duty. No way I'm walking it back to the store in that scenario. If there had been a corral, I would've walked it over.
