    The resurgence is joyous. Comes with a serious sad note for me: Real Estate wise, I'm priced out of the neighborhoods I grew up in, and I'd like to return to. The neighborhoods I can afford are dominated by dudes skulking about with hoodies. (hoodies comes up as error in spell check---damn political correctness!!) God bless Buffalo.

    Seriously. You're right, they be dropping.. Sometimes I wonder if people near the end of life have the ability to gut it out through the holidays... then give in after January. Similarly, I think David Bowie was hanging in there to release his album. Released Friday.. passed Sunday. RIP Ted.

    Well yes... you are correct. I did time on the West Coast, and learned the West Coast has different metrics. East coast = what have you done this year. West coast = what have you done anytime (ganja no matter).

    Good point on No. 1. Example ... continuity with Kaye Stephenson/Hank Bullough/Mularkey would have led to perennial losers. Grass hopper... as an owner, how to distinguish the diff between Stephenson/Bullough/Mullarkey and Belichick.

    Chip's offense design is more suited for college, not the NFL. Maybe time will prove me wrong on this. But I think this hire is another mis-step by SF.

    Agree. But shall we make this bigger picture... it isn't the prisons that suck, but the mental health system? In all events, it's philosophical discussion of whether prison is for punishment or rehabilitation. Here, I'd rather argue whether Rex should have hired his bro.

    It's all about mental health. I did a Google. On ESPN I saw LP's last letter to his former coach. Very logical and in character with what many of us would say. At one moment he has documented murder actions, then another moment he comes across soundly. I hope the big brains at mental health can fix this.

    No, EJ is a better backup. Tebow is interesting. He's a very fine person. He's got character thru the roof. But he's not backup material. If he were, he'd be on some roster somewhere now.     Your instinct is correct, IMO. LA is not a good NFL football city. Many people in LA were not raised there following a team.. they're transplants from other parts of the country (or Mexico, Guuatemala), and they remain loyal to their childhood football team.
