  1. Yeah.. that was funny as ****. 1. like 90% of NFL players, PM did stupid stuff in college (for which he has paid settlements, unlike 85% of NFL players) 2. like 90% of NFL players, PM has allegedly cheated on his wife 3. like 50% of NFL players, he has business investments (I believe his beer comment was spontanious) But since he won the Superbowl and Peter King wants higher ratings.. well here we are. I'm neutral on PM. Don't fall for the media rage game. Pay some attention to your loved ones instead.
  2. LOL. But pumping the "breaks" can be real. Richie Incognito was a break that the Bills pumped. Chip Kelly selling out LeSean was a break the Bills pumped (jury still out on that one, pun intended).
  3. Bingo! You are so correct. And the Bills need to change with the times and accommodate the wimps. Because: Or said another way: If you don't like change, you're going to like not having a team even less. Me, all I ever wanted changed at the Ralph was ... nothing actually, 'cept the W-L record.
  4. The Barcos should be OK IF they hire a lawyer with eminent domain experience. They should get a "highest best use" valuation for the property, not "market value." https://www.google.com/search?q=new+york+highest+and+best+use+eminent+domain I don't know if the best use valuation existed when your Dad got ED'd. I am not a lawyer.
  5. Your posts usually raise good points. But the article you linked shows a franchisor ripping off employees. Not Papa John himself.
  6. Yep. Pegs is a self made billionaire. He didn't start life with Dad's money. One thing he knows that other idiot-inheritance NFL owners don't: economics and investing. Me too. The picture in the article shows the superior site lines the Ralph has in the bowl. Better site lines than many of these new stadiums. Yeah. For sure. WNY is not the land of richie-rich Fortune 500 executives. I think if they build a palace, many of us would be priced out. Good points. It's not just the stadium that could be updated---the Ralph campus could use some upgrades. I support of full remodel of the Ralph. That would break the 70's theme. Though I don't know a fix for the family issue.
  7. Maybe. This guy suggests not. http://www.scotusblog.com/2016/02/is-a-recess-appointment-to-the-court-an-option/
  8. I don't see Obama or Hillary on SCOTUS. They have very little courtroom experience. If you're on the SCOTUS bench, you need court room litigation experience, lots of it, to be qualified. You also should be a published scholar. They are patently unqualified. I don't think either of them would accept a nomination because then their legal experience will be publicly scrutinized with a fine tooth comb, it portends to be an embarrassment for them. I don't think they want to go through that. Hillary had suggested Obama for SCOTUS, I think that was a ploy to curry his favor so maybe he'll scuttle an indictment of her DoS activities.
  9. I estimate the cheating to which he admitted was 2005-ish. Jim and Jill Kelly have made it clear that behavior is behind them and their marriage is stronger. Like I said, he improved with age.
  10. You know it. The Bills couldn't develop talent, primarily because they didn't have key prerequisites: stability at the starter position, and stability in the coaching staff. I think the Bills are getting some stability and and are well positioned to pick a late round QB and develop him for a few years--like Baltimore did.
  11. Yep. Let's not throw rocks from our glass house. Jim Kelly is exhibit A as someone who improved his person with age. The media rage machine continues it's grind.
  12. I'm to the right of center, on the cusp of moderate and conservative. Two liberal friends burned a bridge. They were celebrating Scalia's passing on FB. Without saying anything political, I said I thought it was wrong to celebrate someone's death. They went ape ****. This is one !@#$ed up world. RIP Justice Scalia.
  13. Left, right, doesn't matter. In a couple years we'll look like Greece: a complete mess.
  14. Sounds like that could be a Barter Kings episode on A&E.
  15. There are other teams worse off at QB than Buffalo (hard to believe, but there are). They would give RG3 a large multi-year contract that the Bills would choose not to meet.
  16. WGR is quoting ESPN saying Buffalo is Number 1 likely landing place for RG3. http://www.wgr550.com/ESPN-lists-Bills-as-top-landing-spot-for-RG3/22465542 I don't see it myself.
  17. Huh? Every Ready's or Duracell? Please pardon this old man. In my silver years, I stay home home after dark.
  18. I respectfully request you explain the sarcasm. Is it: 1. You believe the off duty officers have some special unwritten ticket to do what they want... or 2. That the off-duty officers won't face charges, because they were on their backs on the floor getting their ass kicked resulting in fractured skulls Sarcasm.. it's hard to read.
  19. Well.. yes, in the respect that maybe it's time to cut ways. But, I didn't like the sanctimonious meme where the Bills were criticized for trading to get Shady. As my father taught me: hindsight is always 20/20. A sportswriter playing the hindsight game gets my down vote.
  20. I just heard of Spence's demise Suggestion: open this Youtube in one of your browser tabs (my favorite part is at 34:27). Then go read the rest of your Bills news in another tab. Spence was the Joe Montana (and Jim Kelly) of music composition. Then fill in the blanks below: Tom Brady is the ____________ of music composition. QB ________ is football's Milli Vanilli.
  21. Really.. page 45? I haven't seen this much excitement since funnels at Main and Amherst st. What the heck was the name of that bar?
  22. Breaking: McCoy has hired Jackie Chiles. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/67/Jackie_Chiles_in_The_Maestro_Seinfeld.JPG
  23. From a criminal law point of view: if Shady has past problems with the law--this event is going to leave a mark if his record is fairly clean, he might come away here not to damaged From a civil law point of view--Shady has big problems here. Especially with the guy reported to have a skull fracture.
