  1. I'm sure there are several shuttlecock jokes in there somewhere.
  2. I know he's a "power" guy but he seemed a little heavy in looking at him. He could be interesting if they can get 10-15 pounds off of him while maintaining the strength.
  3. It might, but it's going to cost them something. No way Rog gives that away for anything less than and arm, a leg, the first born son, and jus primae noctis
  4. The undead do tend to be pretty relentless in pursuit.
  5. Just once I'd like to see an anal history.
  6. Or deliver an accurate football. No, just no.
  7. That was a fun read that essentially led me to conclude that the NFL's lawyers are a lot better at their job than the NFLPA's lawyers.
  8. I agree re: random deletion. Things only seem to disappear for a reason around here and stupidity is rarely a valid reason so I guess it's possible.
  9. I've tried to get into the new show and just can't. Honestly, the boat is kind of a cop out. The gritty day to day survival on land in the early days would be amazing to watch. The original show skipped out on most of it too by having Rick be unconscious.
  10. Cleveland can't even win at being miserable.
  11. Which is why journalism sucks today. It used to be that was how you kept your job and made your name, not kissing everyone's ass praying you don't lose your press pass.
  12. In her 42 page indictment emails are included wherein she says she'll "make Seth pay" and that "it's war" after Williams hired an adversary of hers. What's truly sad is I don't think shes any worse than most other PA politicians, she's just louder and dumber about it.
  13. The Pennsylvania AG is an absolute shitshow. The woman who holds the office can't technically do anything because her license to practice law in PA is suspended due to misconduct in a previous hot mess of an "investigation". The AG office agreeing to look at this is a move to mollify the police union who is screaming that no charges were filed and a move to embarrass Philly DA Seth Williams. The AG was mishandling a corruption investigation a couple years ago and Williams complained about the lack of action. The AG (Kathleen Kane) told Williams that if wanted the case he should take it. So he did and got convictions and confessions when the AG was whining about a lack of evidence. He called her out then showed her up, this is her chance to even the score. Make no mistake this has NOTHING to do with the merits of the McCoy case. It's all about crappy PA politics and the worst AG in history.
  14. One of these days a reporter is going to grow some balls and start reporting some of this stuff BEFORE the team gives its blessing.
  15. Which is why the Bills will be drafting a QB this year as well. In his situation, refusing to sign a tag that pays him 20M+ guaranteed dollars is stupid. He gains nothing by doing it except becoming a year older (He would be 29 by the 2018 season) and 20M poorer. The agent is doing his job by trying to get his player paid today rather than waiting until tomorrow. If TT gets hurt or stinks there is no big payday, hence try to accelerate the process. Don't be shocked if he's not at camp for a week or three this year. Refusing to play is the only leverage they have and it sends the signal that he'll hold out again if tagged. It doesn't mean it will work, but don't be shocked if it happens.
  16. Aaron Rodgers is 32 years old. I'd listen.
  17. I wanted him a couple years ago if that makes you feel better about it.
  18. Honestly, who cares who Doug Pederson is banging? IIRC Belicheat when divorced his wife it came out that he had been keeping a married Giants receptionist as his side piece for years. If I'm the Eagles I'm more concerned the Pederson didn't call plays, and if anyone should know that Andy Reid ALWAYS calls all the plays, it's the Eagles. One little piggy went to the market, one little piggy stayed home, one little piggy had roast beef...
  19. Part of having the great QB is acquiring them. Polian got Kelly to sign. Kelly certainly didn't have to and, with the cache he had coming out of the USFL, could have forced the Bills to move him if he wanted to. Gallagher made a shrewd waiver claim to get Kemp from the Chargers for essentially nothing. He also acquired Daryle Lamonica, it was the bonehead that followed him who traded Lamonica to the Raiders for nothing. That's 2 great QBs on Gallagher's + column (in a time when QBs were gold and being chased by 2 leagues) Part of Butler's big problem was that he couldn't bring in a QB to follow Jim. Todd Collins, Alex Van Pelt, Rob Johnson, Doug Flutie. Collins was a #2, Johnson cost us a top 10 pick that could have been used on a myriad of players including Fred Taylor, Keith Brooking, Takeo Spikes, Randy Moss, and Tra Thomas.
  20. Then he'd have to shoot him in the leg, no?
  21. Yeah, those were bad and looked bad at the time.
  22. "Whaley has his warts but overall he is probably the 2nd or 3rd best GM this franchise has ever had." You might be right but being a good GM of the Bills is not a high bar to reach. 1960-66: Dick Gallagher (multiple Championships, left to be a scout with the 49ers for 1 year then became Director of the HoF. It's odd that he also left when Saban left.) 1967-78: Bob Lustig (hot mess of a train wreck) 1979-82: Stew Barber (team was decent, HORRIBLE drafting and contract negotiations) 1983: Pat McGroder (let Chuck Knox walk, failed to sign Jim Kelly, hired Kay Stephenson) 1984-85: Terry Bledsoe (awful teams, hired Hank Bullough, had a heart attack in February of 85 which cleared the way for his successor to draft in 85) 1985-92: Bill Polian (explanation not needed) 1993-2000: John Butler (decent teams, hit and miss drafting, terrible cap management, traded the #9 pick for Rob Johnson) 2001-05: Tom Donohoe (hired Gregg Williams and Mike Mularkey, drafted Mike Williams, JP Losman and an injured Willis McGahee) 2006-07 Marv Levy (let us not speak of this) 2008-09 Russ Brandon (it's hard to win in the NFL) 2010-12 Buddy Nix (it's still hard to win in the NFL) 2013-current Doug Whaley So it's not too far fetched to say Polian Gallagher Butler Whaley
  23. Legitimate question, have we had a male character intentionally kill a named female character yet? I think there were a couple random Wolf related killings but they were killing everyone. Has there been a situation where we have seen a male knowingly and intentionally kill a living woman yet? All the ones I can remember were Carol or Beth. I guess you could count Darryl shooting Officer Lerner in the Hospital after Beth stabbed her. Anything else? I'm aware that it's probably Glenn, I'm truly hoping it isn't because it makes the entire cliffhanger pretty pointless and all the more frustrating. Glenn has been skirting death most of the season, having him finally die would put an end to that and since we were already subjected to one Glenn death cliffhanger this season two seems tacked on even if it aligns with the comics. Having to wait 6 months for it to turn out to be Glenn is going to be pretty frustrating and ultimately anti-climactic.
