  1. Thanks for suggestions. We lived in Miami when he (now 45) was growing up with Marino QB. He’s had a rough few eras to deal with, but last year I was impressed with how well Dolphins fans were treated at Highmark.
  2. Went to home game last year with my son who is a Dolphins fan so doing reverse this year. Looking for any good info on tickets. My daughter is a Bills fan and lives in Florida so may need as many as 5 tickets. Any recommendations on ticket outlets, where people stay and things to do while there.
  3. I don’t live in Buffalo anymore (Cleveland area) , but listen to OBL on Audacy to get Bills news. I agree that it is pro Bills but enjoy their guests like Orlovsky, Cosell and Trapasso. I don’t visit TBD as often but do look here for breaking news & commentary. I guess listen to what you like and tune out when it gets boring. Do any of you ever call in?
  4. So we root for Minnesota to lose in wild card for their #2 pick to be more valuable.
  5. Sorry meant Joe Andreessen. Yes Joe D was great.
  6. Agree with OP Beane has found good talent late in draft and even accumulated several future late round picks for next year. I’m rooting for Joe D great story that could reap benefits Ashe gets playing time. May need a Milano replacement sooner than later as his contract only runs another year after this one.
  7. Just saw a you tube video on iconic food places to visit when in town. They listed Anchor Bar, Charlie’s the Butcher, Chefs, Paula’s donuts, Ted’s hots and some kind of soft candy. I’m coming to town for the Miami game and wanted recommendations. We moved out of Buffalo in 1983 so I only remember Anchor Bar, Ted’s & Chefs (my Dad’s favorite. Only have Saturday and Sunday, so need places open on those days.
  8. We lived in Miami during the mid 80s. Marino is still his hero 40 years later.
  9. Don’t mind standing but my son is a lifelong dolphins fan
  10. Planning a trip to Buffalo this year for dolphins game and am deciding if club seats are worth the premium price. Although we went to Detroit at a bargain price for Browns Bills snowed out game 2 years ago, I was disappointed to miss my first game in Orchard Park since 1999. I’ve been a TBD follower since the 90s and moved to Cleveland’s few years ago so games are a reasonable drive now. Looking forward to the new season and eternal Bills optimism. Any thoughts suggestions are welcomed. Go Bills.
  11. It’s my birthday too! Hope our wish for the Bills come true.
  12. Happy Birthday and best wishes to you and your family.
  13. I was concerned with Miami last year, but Tua’s concussions seem to hinder any further improvement to make the challenge. Jets are improved and benefit from weak schedule but need decent QB play to challenge. We seem to have Patriot’s number so should continue dominating division. I’m concerned our schedule could make things closer this year but feel we are still Beasts of the East and continued playoff team. Hoping off-season changes will make us a better playoff competitor. Go Bills!
  14. Bills went downhill after this game. Kay Stephenson replaced Chuck Knox that year and Dolphins rolled the Bills who were terrible until Kelly arrived. I lived in Miami during those years and it was tough being a Bills fan. There was only a shocking victory over the Cowboys from what I remember of the mid 80s teams. My 5 year old son became a lifelong Dolphins fan during those years. Marino was a special QB and deserved better but never really had the supporting cast on offense or defense.
  15. I’m praying for Damar and his family. I can’t believe the NFL can’t make the call now.
  16. My worst experience was actually at Rich stadium in 1999. We were surrounded by drunk Canadian fans who only talked hockey. I was with my teen daughter and didn’t appreciate the language. It was cold December game and we were in bleacher seats and we lost to Giants on last second field goal. Was planning to go toBuffalo for Bills Browns but ended up in Detroit. Met a lot of Browns fans and they were fine. Went to couple of Bills Pats games at Gillette and was treated fine.
  17. I agree with everyone. I believe the Bills haven't lost a game he was in for the whole game. Not sure what the contract will look like, but I believe Beane will get it done.
  18. I understand the nervous reactions to everything Bills having followed them for more than 50 years, but the key is points given up. Dolphins got field goals when they should have been TDs based on field position. Same in Vikings game before the fumble. I agree it may have to do with the DBs and Safety changes every week, but I'll take our chances against any of the playoff teams. Let them move the ball but keep them out of the endzone. I know we are still a top 5 defense in points allowed so take it easy everyone (although I know you can't)
  19. Ohio now by way of SC, CT, MA, IL, MD, FL & Buffalo (left in 83)
  20. I don't know about you, but I don't like the guy. Maybe its because he is the Dolphins coach, but he just irritates me like Belichick does or did. His whining to the refs about the snowballs or his comments at halftime about being glad to be one score away. Glad we won and hope he gets squashed in the playoffs so we don't hear about coach of the year.
  21. I have not received my Ticketmaster refund yet. Hope to see it this month with Christmas bills rolling in.
  22. I'd love to make it to Buffalo again and don't mind the cold. It was in the 20s in Detroit before the game but the ticket prices are getting so high just don't see it happening. Fortunately, I will get a ticket refund soon but the last 3 home games are all divisional opponents so prices are still high and the upper deck is no place for a 70 year old.
  23. Just got back yesterday from Detroit and had a blast meeting tons of Bills fans. Want to give props to community and Lions for being such great hosts. The Elwood bar and grill had a big welcome part for Bills fans as tailgating is limited in the city. It felt like a home game and everyone there was great to us. Had my son in law (lifetime Browns fan) and Bills fans were good to him as well. Just had a great experience, but we were both disappointed we didn’t get to Orchard Park. It’s been over 20 years since I’ve been to a home game. My son in law said to me it doesn’t have to be Browns game so we’re preparing for next year - hopefully September.
  24. I heard Brandon Beane say that tickets would be cheaper than standard prices and hoped Bills fans in Michigan would be coming. I have Courtyard hotel near stadium booked. Anyone know much about downtown sports bars. My son in law (Browns fan) was sorry to miss the Buffalo experience, but would like to catch Buckeyes game if we get there early enough. Looks like a 4 hour drive from Cleveland and wouldn't mind meeting up with some TBD fans.
