  1. Buffalo plus called the D-line Beane’s Waterloo. Either he will figure it out and we will be world champs, or it will be his undoing.
  2. Most of these rookies are going to be far down the depth chart to start with. The hope is to get them in and maybe they develop like Shakir did. Im a bit of a draftnik so I liked those guys personally, but trusting Beane is fair. He is not always right, but I really really hope he is!
  3. I don’t think anyone has had any problem with using most picks on the defense, I was pretty ecstatic after day 2 ended. I think the complaint has been not trying to add a receiver until after trading up twice for DTs, drafting the third DB, drafting a blocking TE and an OL. If the Bills had moved up from where they were, and landed a Jalen Royals, Elic Ayomanor or Tory Horton I think the noise would basically be non-existent. The only young guys we have are Coleman and Kincaid who looked pretty bad last year and Palmer who really has been bland in LA. So not having new talent at WR has people like me feeling a bit down in that regard. Though I am excited for the defense.
  4. The Eagles are a really hard model to try and follow because they format contracts unlike any other team in the league to fit all these great players on their roster. Their defense was a huge part of their Super Bowl win, but they did have AJ Brown, Devonta Smith and Saquon Barkley in addition to a great OL that led them through a lot of games too.
  5. Hopeful he can unseat Gilliam too in addition to filling QMorris’ role and free up a roster spot elsewhere like on the DLine
  6. Why would any non-desperate FAs want to have anything to do with the Browns when they pull this stuff and also are terrible?
  7. It’s an interesting take but not one any of those teams have followed to the degree of the Bills. The Ravens have two first round WRs they drafted in the last 5 years, the Eagles spent first rounders and big contracts on Devonta Smith and AJ Brown and the chiefs spent a first on Worthy and seconds on Rice and Skyy Moore from 22-24 while having a HoF TE on roster. I do agree the Bills had a pretty good draft tho.
  8. He was there 20 years and won 6 and won 1 in 3 years as a 40 year old in Tampa
  9. And when Brady finally had a chance to go where he wanted, which receivers did he decide to go play with?
  10. As crazy as it sounds that receiver group, especially when you include Greg Olsen, may be better
  11. That’s why they call him sneaky
  12. I understand his point, I still think resources could have been used differently to help both sides of the ball. But it’s in the past, as my post said I hope the receiver room is good enough with where the rest of the team is at to finally get us a superbowl.
  13. I dont think so. His job is predicated on winning. At the end of the season either the WR room is good enough or the WR room isn’t good enough faction will be right. If the latter is, he will probably take it more seriously next offseason. As a member of the latter, I hope the former crowd is right
  14. Yea watching him play he hasn’t been very good. It’s not all on his team or QB. He’s better than Leviska Shenault.
  15. If you think last years investments were good enough while also looking at the WR investments for Josh’s entire career. We are just going to have to disagree 🙂
  16. Yea, it’s never a focus. Beane needs to turnover every rock he can with what is still out there. Elijah Moore? Great look at him. The WR room is not great and very shallow. It probably can’t be improved much but he has to be constantly looking.
  17. Super unprofessional, but good to hear the WR conversation is getting to Beane’s ears. Be vigilant in upgrading the room now and going forward Beane.
  18. One of the best WRs left…has not been very good in the league so far
  19. Love the big man spin move he has
  20. Beane after seeing this:
  21. Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!
  22. It’s because of his 2023 season and senior bowl. He put up 7.5 sacks in the SEC in 2023 and then had several dominant reps as a pass rusher in the Senior Bowl practices. Admittedly, when he was healthy he had a nice spin move and was light on his feet to create havoc as a pass rusher. But what he does - playing high, having a light base, etc - does not bode well for players usually, especially against the run. So in the 4th round, they took a gamble on him being an exception. But a big guy with poor athleticism and a back injury history will likely make his career inconsistent at best. As Marino said, would be very happy to be wrong.
  23. Amari may be washed The most realistic needle mover is nutty George Pickens but I’m not sure the Bills would do that. Then you have guys like Alex Pierce, Rashid Shaheed coming off an injury, or Jakobi Myers
  24. Mahomes has a much better receiving room Im not sure what they can do to get much better. Amari and Kennan Allen are the best FAs left then it’s like Deontae Johnson and DJ Chark who both were terrible last year. Maybe they can swing a trade but usually that happens pre-draft. I hope we do
  25. Some fans think criticizing the Bills is akin to not being a fan Ive watched plenty of Palmer due to fantasy. The Chargers needed him to step up countless times through the years due to injuries to Williams and sometimes Keenan Allen. He could fill in and give replacement level production. When he was featured heavily he was inefficient. He did better as a role player but he just isn’t explosive enough to be a high level receiver. There is a reason the Chargers did not care much about losing him and then replaced him in the draft. I think his ceiling is another WR that their original team let walk in free agency during their prime: Jakobi Meyers. But I think Myers is a better player.
