  1. I don't disagree. Unfortunately, both of them fail more than they succeed at this point.
  2. 9-9 in games where we scored 24+ 15-3 in games where we held the opponent under 24
  3. that makes it look better than it was. It happened 3 times, just twice by the same guy...
  4. Ah, the old 'he did it in pre-season' bit. That's not where I expected this to go.
  5. If Rex was the coach of the Broncos Chad would be the starter for the Bills game.
  6. His statement could actually be construed to mean that the Bills are a good team with Tyrod Taylor as the QB, since they don't lose more games than they win when he plays. Just looking for the positive spin here.
  7. I was going to respond thinking he meant injury. Then I realized he likely thinks Tyrod will be benched at some point.
  8. My love for the Bills is consistent. My interest in the NFL product as a whole varies.
  9. Tyrod had 22 of the 77 (almost as many as he had big passes lol) on 95 run attempts. Shady had 34 on 234, MG had 16 on 101. It's also not surprising considering in 2015 Sammy caught 13 of our 32 big passes. This year he caught 3. What I found more interesting was that the D allowed 98 big plays, which was 2nd most in the league. Giving us a +/- of only +2. The Cowboys, who had the 2nd most big plays at 96, had a +/- of +35. In case you were wondering, Zeke had 48 big runs on his 322 attempts. Dak contributed another 12 on 57 attempts.
  10. we've been #1 in the league the past 2 years for 'big plays' which are 10+ yard runs and 25+ yard passes. Last year we had 100 (77 Run, 23 Pass), 2015 we had 102 (70 Run, 32 Pass). Over the past 2 years 9.96% of our plays have been 'big plays' which is also the highest rate in the league.
  11. That awkward moment when the guy you lead with hasn't played since 2012 and hasn't been a starter since 2006...
  12. Not sure, but in 2016 we gained 109 fewer yards and score 20 more points than we did in 2015.
  13. That's like ESPN's 'Sneaky Strength' for the Bills. It was that the defense, while 26th overall in DVOA, was the 3rd best defense when the team was down by more than a touchdown... So they were good after they already screwed up
  14. You said comebacks, didn't you? Oakland never once trailed against Denver. New Orleans finished 7-9. Don't see how that's considered a good team if the Bills aren't.
  15. I don't know why I'm even bothering to respond to this, but... What good teams did Carr have a 4th quarter comeback against? Hint - They only beat 4 teams with records over .500 all year and beat no 10 win teams.
  16. Based on 2016 ESPN Splits: on 3rd (or 4th) with 3 or more yards to go: 56/106 for 746 Yards, 7.04 YPA, 7 TDs, 1 INT, 21 Runs for 165 Yards (7.86 YPC) and 3 more TDs with 9+ yards to go: 26/45 for 421, 9.36 YPA, 1 TD, 1 INT, 9 Runs for 86 Yards (9.6 YPC) Take that for what you will. Bad completion %, but solid YPA is what I see in those situations. EDIT: Also, 10 TDs on 127 combined attempts comes out to 7.87% TD% - which seems pretty good.
  17. And he finished at those ranks missing 1 start and really missing practically all of week 17 as well.
  18. It's a high contract, but he also finished 5th in yards from scrimmage with 1,623, and 4th in rushing & receiving TDs with 14.
  19. I haven't thrown him under the bus, per se, but I think that those who have are making the same point you are. Tyrod was operating inside Roman's offense. The man is absolutely top tier when it comes to the run game and run play design, but his pass concepts are elementary and poor. The other thing that manifested was that Roman's preparation style focused far more on quantity than quality. So, while I do not agree with removing games from data sets involving Tyrod based on coordinators, opponents, the weather, etc., I do agree with removing games he didn't play in.
  20. It was the game where TT is literally the only QB with any credited stats for the Bills.
  21. Here's the Box Score of the game in question, FWIW. http://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=400791541 Bold Prediction: Bills beat the colts by more than 13 this year.
  22. There's also like 5 Bills Backers bars between Charlotte and Lake Norman.
  23. 2 sides to this coin. 1) Hearing Gettleman's fate had a lot to do with recent interactions with Greg Olson and how a potential rework was or wasn't progressing, so more recent that Beane's departure. 2) Hearing that Beane has followed in Gettleman's lowabll footsteps so far. Worth keeping an eye on, I suppose.
  24. Clearly we didn't pay him enough to buy his people a PS4 and sunday ticket
