Allen making these changes pre snap are absolutely amazing
Artful Dodger replied to Pokebball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just for grins, on a week when the Bills are playing a bad team, let him call his own plays, and see what happens. Hopefully, we wouldn't see three runs directly into the line of scrimmage on the Bills' second series of the game. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW – I Never Leave Early
Artful Dodger replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, and if you fail to convert the first conversion, you're always playing catchup on future extra points which is what the Bills did all night. They're lucky it didn't cost them the game. Other than that, McDermott did a fine job of game management. -
It would be simpler if the refs would just use separate eleven-yard chains when Buffalo has the ball.

Allen is among the most exciting players in NFL history.

Levy still has first-hand memories of the Great Depression. He was in the Army Air Corps in WW2, for goodness sakes. He was born in the same year as Jack Lemmon, Johnny Carson, and Margaret Thatcher. And he's a sharp as ever. What a remarkable guy and an admirable man!

I like it. I'm happy to pay more taxes if it means that Terry can afford a nicer yacht.

McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"

At least this will gin up some drama for "Hard Knocks" which has been really dull so far. -
The Bills are priceless. You can't put a value on them.

Hard Knocks Episode 2: The Thread
Artful Dodger replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's no drama at all. And they missed the bit where Josh Allen started talking to his receivers about quantum physics. -

DOGE Big Balls Assaulted in DC
Artful Dodger replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The thing about Trump is that you never really know what's going on. Is he trying to restore sanity to Washington, DC? I live in the DC suburbs, and the city is a disorderly mess and there are a lot of homeless people, but why now? Other than the omnipresent smell of weed which is deeply annoying, it's a lot safer than it was a few years ago when one congressman got carjacked and a congresswoman got assaulted within the same year. Is he creating a diversion to troll his political opponents just because he enjoys pushing their buttons? When he successfully pushes their buttons, they often act as if they're insane, and that certainly helps him politically. Or is there something more sinister at work here? Who knows? Maybe not even Trump. -
Do the Bills Even Have a Hated Division Rival?

I hate 'em all. Except the Jets. I feel sorry for the Jets. -
Eddie Czaplicki punter... available

The important question is how well he is going to work with the Bills' legendary long snapper, Reid Ferguson. -
What's the first position the Bills draft in 2026?
Artful Dodger replied to Cash's topic in The Stadium Wall
Normally I would agree with you but the legendary Reid Ferguson, the longest tenured Bill on the team, isn't going anywhere. -
After hearing this, I'm a little ashamed that I generally just watch the Bills on TV from a La-Z-Boy recliner in the family room. During the winter, I keep the temperature cranked up. I mute the commercials. Sometimes while I'm watching, I'll have a diet coke or if it's a playoff game, maybe a light beer.

Reid Ferguson, the Bill's long snapper. He's the longest tenured player on the team and he just signed an extension with Buffalo for another four years, so he must be really good at what he does. Also, there are no superstar long snappers in the league, so that's a gap waiting to be filled.

Were there ever years you were disinterested in the Bills?
Artful Dodger replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
My interest gradually decreased after 2000 or so. It bottomed when the Pegulas bought the team and hired Rex Ryan to be coach. At that point, I almost gave up on the team. -
Ranking NFL WR, TE, RB groups for 2025: Bills 28/32?
Artful Dodger replied to Lionel Hutz's topic in The Stadium Wall
In his methodology, wide receivers are weighted more heavily than running backs or tight ends. So, the Bills' strongest skill player, James Cook, contributed less to the overall ranking than the Bills' mostly underwhelming group of receivers. He also used recent performance history, and players such as Dalton Kincaid and Curtis Samuel had down years last year. If his methodology is accurate, imagine how good Josh Allen and the offensive line are to propel the Bills into being one of the top ranked offenses in the league. -
Allen is doing what he can to keep Cook happy. Is he going to say that he doesn't think Cook deserves the money?
-
He was a pretty good singer, but I heard he died. No thanks.

When you have to rely on Ilhan Omar to try to make your argument, you're in really big trouble.
