Maybe if we write letters to the other 31 franchises and explain the situation that FAs won't come here they'll feel sorry for us and give us extra picks to make sure we get a T / G / C / DE / DT / WR / TE.

I'm going to be real annoyed at the end of the week when the Jets are waiving around Leveon Bell, Matt Paradis and Anthony Barr while the smoke blowers around here are trying to sell everyone on Donte Moncrief, Spencer Long and Luke Stocker being great fits.

We got an extra 1st and a 3rd from KC to move from 10 to 27 in 2017. New Orleans gave up #27 / 2019 1st / #147 to go to 14 last year. I would want something similar. I know 20 isn't 27, but #20 / 2020 1st / 82 would be my target, though I'd settle for #82 being #122.

Pass. I think there's a talent tier drop off between 9 and 20 that takes a premium pick to overcome. A late 2nd and moving up from the early 4th to early 3rd doesn't do it.

Just my opinion, but that's what I think. Bills and Steelers got very far on a deal, to the point Rappaport (who isn't going to risk his rep on a chance) felt comfortable reporting it. AB nuked it. Beane and Rosenhaus are working together to save face because Rosenhaus knows Beane is sitting on a mountain of money right now. Makes a heck of a lot more sense than the "Beane trolled everyone" crowd.

I love everything but this. I don't want him anywhere near our team, he's too small and I have zero interest in cheering for that family.

There's not a "bonafide number one" available in FA and there's a strong likelihood there's not another one available via trade at anywhere near a reasonable cost. We didn't want to pay that contract, that's the bottom line.

I would trade a 3rd and a 5th for a top 5 WR and make him the highest paid player at the position.....

IMO an under mentioned factor. I think it would have made a statement 3 days before free agency to add AB to our offense. I think his refusal to come here also potentially made a statement entering FA.

It's an absolute garbage deal for the Steelers and obviously biased in the Saints favor, from an obvious Saints fan twitter account. Give me a break.
