  1. Let me just say COLTON SCHMIDT is terrible. I can't recall any Bills punter in the past having so many shanks. May not seem like a big deal but this guy has been costing us field position all year.
  2. Bucky Gleason was the amateur reporter trying to catch Rex in a lie about when he found out about the report. The whole thing was embarrassing and Rex could of squashed it but for some reason continued to try and explain himself.
  3. He could be a good hire but too risky IMO. We need a proven coach who's been successful in the NFL. College coaches seem to be total crap shoots when they go to NFL, even coaches who have been at the top of CFB.
  4. 27 seems ridiculous and shows the insecurity of the HC IMO. I could see this being a negative. Would be interesting to know what the average is per team. It also seems narrow minded that Rex seems to retain the same staff with him no matter the results and then goes to tout them as the best coaches in the league. I know this is fairly common but believe he's loyal to a fault.
  5. Why would you sit the QB who gives them the best chance to win now when they aren't eliminated from the playoffs yet? Yeah it's a very small chance but if you look at the schedules and with Tanny going down in Miami it's not impossible. Once they are eliminated I could see giving Cardalle a shot just to give him some game experience and see how he does.
  6. He'd be the one to get this team into the playoffs and beyond, but it'll never happen. He could pick his job and it certainly isn't going to be in small market Buffalo
  7. I'd be so discouraged if we made Coughlin our next coach. He's past his prime and just too old. The Giants are having a pretty nice year without him which says something.
  8. I'm of the opinion that as long as we have a chance (as small as it may be), how could you not still want them to win? I know it's like 3-4%, but we have should could easily win the next three and with some tough schedules for other teams who knows.
  9. I don't get all the love for Lynn. I'd like to know what he has done to receive such high praise? He was a RB coach and just promoted during the season to OC, and I think he's been average at best. He's called some good games but there have been several head scratchers. The guy hasn't even proved himself as a coordinator. Sorry, I believe a big part of why he's getting HC interviews is because of the Rooney rule. Not saying he can't be a good OC if given more time, but all this talk about him as HC makes no sense to me.
  10. Go after Blanton?!?! Cut Woods, who is one of the guys who cares and gives 110% when on the field? Cousins isn't happening so just forget about that.
  11. I think there is a lack of confidence and leadership on the team and to me that partially falls on the head coach. This team has talked about changing the culture, holding each other accountable, etc. and just don't think they're there yet. I'm also wondering if some guys aren't buying into the scheme (especially defense). Still feel there's a sense that the D is over complicated.
  12. You can't soley pin this loss on offense, defense or special teams because there is blame to go around. 1. Offense: you can't have 3 consecutive 3 and outs and 2 turnovers (one of which was on our own 12). I don't care how good your D is, they are going to give up points 2. Defense: can't give up 3 consecutive TD's, I don't care how gassed they are and what the opponent field position is. They need to step up and make stops in the red zone. Instead of 3 TD's they needed to make a stop on 2 of those and force a FG try. Instead of 21 points, they could of given up 13 or less and that would of made a big difference. 3. Special teams: I have zero faith in Schmidt. Yeah, he's had some good games and booming punts, but he's also had a number of awful punts in the 20-30 yard range that just kill us on field position. We need to find a more consistent punter. If I had to choose the weakest link, I'd have to say defense is our biggest problem. They can't get off the field on 3rd down (including long distance) and have been dreadful in red zone of late. There are also far more injuries to our offense which is not an excuse, but when Justin Hunter is your #2 receiver followed by Goodwin and Tate, you're going to have some issues. Again, blame to go around but overall I am most disappointed in the defense.
  13. Ridiculous post, this isn't the NHL. How many early first round QB's have been a bust? The best rookie QB this year was taken in the 4th round!
  14. Oakland has had a lot go their way this year and has pulled out some crazy games they had no business of winning. They are good, but not great and certainly not as good as their record. I mean, Houston outplayed them but the refs gave Oakland the game. The Bills are a good team and Oakland's winning ways can only last so long. I think the Bills can bring this team back down to earth. My biggest concern is injuries. Without Woods, Darby, Ihedigbo, Powell, Hardin, banged up Watkins and Dareus and others it's not going to be easy. I'm concerned about our WR and secondary.
  15. This. We've essentially lost the most important positions with exception of QB and our best players. The rash of injuries at WR is also unprecedented.
  16. This may be one of the worst ideas I've ever heard.
  17. I was skeptical of Shady, but he's proven me wrong. He's extremely competitive, plays with a chip on his shoulder and has a ton of heart. Couldn't ask for more than that.
  18. I don't know that there really is a consistent dominate defense in the league this year. Denver is supposed to be at the top and their D was the reason they lost to KC. Buffalo is ranked in the top 10 believe it or not. I do think AW is a big loss, Meeks is terrible and beyond Gilmore and Darby (who have both been up and down), there isn't much depth. Corey White is not even close to good.
  19. Wow that was insane. Guess we don't have to worry about tie scenarios now
  20. Wouldn't a tie be good for Bills? It's one less win for both teams
  21. Good question, I seriously forgot all about him. Anyway, this could be a big reason the O-line struggled. I'm sure they change up their blocking scheme a bit with Wood out and no way they give Groy the same blocking assignments as Wood had.
  22. Good recap and agree with most of it. I will say I thought the refs totally screwed the Jags on some crucial calls and IMO I'm not so sure if the Bills win without getting help. Trust me, I'm not complaining in the least as we all know it's happened to us plenty, but it's a fact. 1. McCoy fumble and no clue how refs stop play with forward progress. Should of been Jags ball. 2. PI called against Jags, think it was a deep ball to a Watkins but didn't see any interference there 3. Blantant PI against Gillmore, would of kept that drive going 4. Shady steps out of bounds and ref keeps the clock going They also blatantly missed a delay of game on Jags that wasn't even close. Anyway, we'll take it, but the refs continue to be terrible. Nice to see the Bills get some of those calls for once, and it can make the difference in a tough league.
  23. Defense is literally making my stomach churn, and I put more blame on scheme/coaching.
