If you’re proven at not paying then who, even if it is subconsciously, is going to go there? You retain the blue chip players and hope you knock it out of the park in terms of drafting a QB. Star players at that position almost never hit the market. And if they do, retaining a player of Wilson’s caliber and not jettisoning them is the exact reason one would choose to sign there.

Far cry from the reports he was begging to get out of NY last year. Good for him. Great player, still young.

All Draught Team Bills vs the 2025 Bills
Sojourner replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
His first 4 years in the league was awesome, shame what happened to the guy. -
I agree to an extent but he’s top 10 at best, not top 3. The list @HappyDays just shared is pretty spot on.

How much was the PSL for that seat?

Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
Sojourner replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
An aged Kelly into Todd Collins and Van Pelt… come on man. His breakout season was down to Flutie actually getting him the ball. Not knocking Keon but he’s not starved from having even an above average guy slinging the ball nor is there an absolute elite, dominant guy on the team at his position. Got to do something this year… -
Not denying there’s some questionable things in that video, but plenty league darlings have seen a lot favored their way. The only one I have a problem with is the “Do Over” in the AFC Championship against the Bengals. They failed to covert the third down, got another crack and converted. In the bigger picture of things, it didn’t matter. They didn’t score on the same drive and the Bengals had two opportunities to break the deadlock of 20-20. Irrespective if it mattered on the actual outcome, the problem is we’ve seen clock malfunctions; unsynchronized clocks or play clocks not even being started and the game wasn’t paused or a down repeated several times in history. The fact it was in the biggest game at that period of the season for both teams is where it’s sour. Not just those teams but the conference championships are the second biggest game/s on the season schedule. Just me?

No disrespect to the legend of John but Paul is the better of the two.

The best NFL draft pick ever at every slot from No. 1 to 262
Sojourner replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Troup… He was just a Calloway from Easley being a first Batten Hall of Famer. He unfortunately, took a Spiller and broke his Wang crossing the Moats. He could have Carrington’d that 2010 draft class if it didn’t turn out so Brown… -
Not to take anything away from Tony but he had an offense littered with high end players over his career.

Who Are Your Sleepers For This Year??
Sojourner replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall
Would love to see it. Holding out hope for Bishop, especially if Rapp keeps uo the norm and injured himself again. That pairing of Bishop/Forrest is scaring my hopeful as we don’t really know what we’d end up with; either decent or horrific lol -
Im with you man, totally different player. Was simply implying the parallel of the journey on the team. Definitley an outside guy and for that he’s competing for the backup and potential starter roles in that boundary position against: Hairston/White/Ingram/Jackson/Porter Jr. all of whom were added this year. McDermott likes what he likes, hence the returns of White and Jackson. Unless he’s blowing the socks off them I don’t see him making it on anything else other than what you alluded to; special teams. Now, I’ll probably be wrong but that’s my stance right now. He’s in a crowded room against talent familiar to Sean and talent he obviously trusts. Strong and Hancock are the only guys from the later round I’ve seen impressive moments from collegiately to make the team given who they’re up against. One I’m inclined and hoping it is Hancock on. Not to say I’m against Strong it’s just he’s simply up against it to me personally. Codrington is a question mark. I’m on the standpoint they use Shenalt, Virgil, Darrynton Evans or even Elijah Moore for return duties this year
-
Not at all. I believe Hancock is competing for one of, if not the final spot. I posted in another thread about how he is a sleeper for me on this team. Strong? He was an 6th rounder; irrelevant in itself. But imo? Exactly the same as Hardy last year, a practice squad guy imo. I don’t disagree that he’s talented and a potential steal where he fell but out of all the guys in the 5th to 7th rounds, the only guy I’d hang my hat on as having anything as a great chance would be Hancock. I may be wrong and I’ll happily accept it if so. Again, Hancock was highlighted as competing for the final spot on that DB room and he is a guy I posted in the “sleeper” thread for what it’s worth.

Commanders bringing back their Super Bowl era throwbacks
Sojourner replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
lol what a world we live in where the word Native could be deemed offensive. -
One or the other? Damar. Believe both make the team however. Usually we carry 10 or 11 DBs on the active roster under McDermott. The following are the only absolute locks imo: Benford Bishop Hairston Taron Rapp That leaves: Codrington Forrest Hamlin Hancock Hardy Ingram Jackson Lewis Porter Jr. Strong White The bolded are the ones most likely to take the final 5/6 spots on the roster. Italicized are the ones who I feel are competing and likely to have the better chance going into TC and the regular season. (White in italics in the event someone has a strong showing and makes the team, you run with him for that last spot given the acumen and experience he brings)

Sojourner replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tough question as he isn’t the best at separating. Contested catches and RZ is where he’ll always make his living imo. Don’t know how you make that your bread and butter as a go to guy. He isn’t Moss or Megatron. Wholly agree in him having a role, it just might only be the above? -
Asante Samuel (Sr) speaks out on the Dolphins...
Sojourner replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Does this impact how Asante Jr. is viewed by teams? Peculiar he’s still a FA, there’s some decent talent there to out on the field. -

Never understood how they didn’t just change the name to the Washington Natives. The Native American side profile logo was cool, as were the 2 feathers attached to the ring on the outside. -

Sojourner replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Expectations should be high for a guy picked, essentially in the first round. Especially now he’s a second year player and really, for the position, is only battling Shakir and Palmer to be the guy Josh leans on. Now obviously and I might be wrong, he isn’t overtaking Shakir in that regard but Palmer is fresh on the team so he should be ahead of the curve there. -

Jordan Hancock, believe he makes the team and we see Taron unfortunately ending up injured and miss some time; fills in that slot role and does well. Darrick Forrest for the same reasons, injuries at safety (Rapp/Hamlin/Bishop). Offensively? Tough to pinpoint one guy but I find myself believing Josh Palmer hits the 1200/8+TD mark this year. Not a sleeper per se, given he was a key acquisition in FA, but a sleeper for the fact what his production has been years prior to what I feel it will be after this season.
