Agree. That 2019 college season for LSU was bonkers. They didn’t really play any “scrub” teams during the second half of that season. Their final 10 games they played teams ranked in the top 10 a total of six times. Their other games were Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Arkansas. The latter were the only poor quality team. Ending that year with Oklahoma, Georgia and Clemson who went a combined 38-5 is credit to how good they were. Blew the brakes off each of those teams too… That season is exclusively how Brady got back into the league.

Good on you for owning that. Many people wouldn’t. -
Where’s the juice at the position of Wide Receiver?

Setting the edge is important but you can package things to stop the run. Sean and Babich like their 4 guys to rush the passer more often than not and like you said, is the contract matching up to production? Definitley not. Sacks are nice but disruption is just as vital. Pressure rate isn’t up to par for the contract. Think I read he has only 5 on the season. The silver lining is the defense is at the top of the league for pressure % and hurries without Groot…. -
You are absolutely right. We are going to need him big time. Especially if Rousseau continues his current slump later in the season. Your other point of him staying healthy will be meaningful in the playoffs I completely agree with.

Guy had a great couple year run in Baltimore. Sad to see someone pass away so young.

Still 2nd in points scored. Put up points when it matters.

Thats pretty tough, like someone pointed out in another thread; they escaped last season with little to no injuries to their key players. Seems like it’s coming full force. Their season might be down the pan if they drop the next 2 games as the talk is Lamar might not be available for both. Definitley out this weekend.

Washed up? He hasn’t been great but against the Jets he was borderline the best player on defense. That was 2 games ago? -

Quite surprised no one picked up Alexander. For the fact he played a game, what? 2 days after being signed and wasn’t down right awful for his first ever time on a pro field was something that should have weight. -

Meyers is an enigma and might prove how bad the coaching staff in Vegas has been. Not advocating to acquire him but there is this tidbit: I was reading up on him for fantasy football and he lines up in the slot around 35% of the time last season… yet his usage there was pretty low. Only 39 (20%) of his targets were seen from that alignment. Id say the stats and production dictate he’s a versatile receiver who sees more production as a boundary guy. Interestingly enough, I believe half of his touchdowns came from the slot, so there is that. The other side of the coin was that he only scored 4. -
Was hoping they’d start that 21 day window given he’s started some personal drills. I can’t remember what McD said exactly but it was something to the effect of “the athletic trainer is working with him… nothing further…”

That’s a fair point and again, I’m not doubting any of the guys we have. Simply if Palmer doesn’t show up here or there before the trade deadline it wouldn’t be a bad decision to get look for an addition.
-
That’s a great point and I don’t disagree. But we are 2-0 in the division and should be coming away with the better record come Week 18. At least you would hope. Given the Bernard scare on Sunday, rest Milano as much as possible. Brown and Ed are absolutely pivotal to a lot of their side of the ball’s success. Same goes for them. Can see it either way though.
-
Honestly, aside from Coleman’s showing against Baltimore and Shakir’s 40 yard effort on Sunday, it’s the Cook and Josh show. Palmer needs to start getting involved. If not, it wouldn’t hurt to get an upgrade somewhere on that group. To add to your last point, the offense could have put that game to bed in the second quarter when the defense made plays. They didn’t. Team effort. When the offense is rolling, the defense seems to have lapses. When the offense sputters, the defense picks it up. When they’re both on the same page theyre on of it not the most dangerous team in football.
-
If the Pats were 3-1 or even 4-0, I’d hope that Brown, Ed and Milano were ready to go. Got a game in hand divisionally; 2-0 to their 1-0. Best just to get them absolutely 100% healthy as the next two games should be wins, even if the score line is close.

Bengals have absolutely no shot in that division without Burrow which is crazy given Lamar may miss some time. Unless that team does a miraculous turn around, they aren’t even sniffing the wild card. Chargers/Chiefs will end up with better records in the AFC West. Colts look to be taking the south with Houston having a defense, their offense just needs to figure things out to be in with a shot at competing for the South or getting a WC. East is the Bills. Pats look like they could piece some wins together to get a WC spot. North is the most interesting division. Steelers could have a chance if Lamar misses multiple games, especially with injuries throughout their team. Ravens still in the mix. Browns are the interesting option. If Gabriel turns the offense around, they could rack uo the wins. That defense is dominant. It wouldn’t surprise me if the two wild card teams end up from the AFC West; Chargers/Broncos/Chiefs

Congratulations Mark! Is the Buffalo you’re standing next to on the cover the paperweight for the book?!

Do we know why exactly? What were the points brought up that were voiced by players leading to those frustrations?
