Where you getting those numbers? He only attempted 6 last season from 40-49yds…? lets say you are right, there’s no way he finishes above 80%. pretty sure they wouldnt have him back he also kicked 29 attempts on the whole year.
-
youre right. and during those 2 years he kicked at that percent was when he got his money. distance doesn’t seem much different… 2021: 40-49yards, 4/5. 50+yards, 2/4 2022: 40-49yards, 10/11. 50+yards, 2/3 2023: 40-49yards, 4/6. 50+yards, 4/6 2021: 20-39yards 22/23 2022: 20-39yards 15/17 2023: 20-39yards 16/17 again, I’d argue that if he kicks 5-10 more FGs a year, the % will be in that average success range (84-93%). the reason he’s coming under more criticism than years prior is the magnitude of the kicking he’s missed. statistically he’s pretty much been on par with where he was the first 3 years, 2020-22.

Bryce Young already benched in Carolina

Yeah but they aren’t in that #1 slot if they don’t trade for the 2023 pick of bryce young… in fact, if they don’t trade away all the top end talent that team has had over the last few years, who knows where they’d be. certainly aren’t picking #1 overall with CMC, DJ moore and whoever else they end up with under center? Darnlod, for all the lumps he’s taken, didn’t do too bad the final 6 games of that 22 season: went 4-2 threw 1100 yards, 7TDS, 4INTs that was with DJ moore. You imagine if he had CMC and some other weapons? They aren’t in play for young, williams or any 1st overall without a trade. tepper and morgan have traded all that talent, overpaid for average players and turned the coaching staff over too much to give any young qb a chance to succeed. -
brandon mcmanus available. would be worth a look if acquiring a kicker was a serious move. don’t think bass did bad though: 24/30 FGs 49/50 XPs touchbacks are the only place i can see a problem with that as it was 53/95 (55.8%) think if you see bass kick 15-20 more FGs that he’d be around the 84-93% success range, which is the nfl average it seems. and looking at those kicks, most teams (18) are kicking double the amount of short range FGs (20-29yards) as we did last season, which was 4.

good post. your eberflus point is interesting. fields did nothing with him but the team did improve year 2… now you’ve given the defensive coach all the pieces to work with on both sides of the ball it’s make or break this year for me if i am the halas/mcaskey family. if things dont work out in chicago then you bring in an offensive minded coach to steer the ship with caleb and all those offensive weapons -

stroud was a more efficient passer in college and seemed to be better at touch passes and leading his guys both had elite talent on their teams. championship and heisman are the only things that go to young. why you don’t go with the better passer who’s of the build you want in a qb; 6’4”+ is wild to me. did however not expect bryce to be as poor as he has. seems borderline clueless out there at times. -

a win is always nice. espec’ a blowout against a divisional rival but not seeing josh be able to “josh” sucks. was sneakily hoping for a shootout lol -

Some people are more prone to easier head trauma. like the replays they showed, the Milano shove was nothing really, slight bump on his head and he was completely rattled. Same thing with fighters who have a “chin” and others a “jaw of glass” Feel so bad for the guy. He’s an awesome person. Maybe he wears the guardian cap from now on?? -

Cunningham and Alexander are solid options to me. Been around, seen different systems and had success in them. Both guys even produced pretty well last year when called upon -

Shaq Leonard, Zach Cunningham, Kwon Alexander…. Not the best but experienced guys who are available and would be the vet minimum. Jarrad Davis and Anthony Barr are also available. -

You actually even see Poyer vocalize that to the unit as he’s coming down. Backers rolled over to the SS. -

Man this overrated dude throwing for our overrated team. -
size, quickness in the short routes and a panache for winning 50/50 balls.
-
personally, in today’s players, Keon reminds me of Keenan Allen. From years prior? Michael Irvin. he’s got a stud throwing him the ball so his production and adjustment to the pros is only going to be helped to become comparable to those 2 mentioned above.
-
didn’t say we were losing to them lol if we are beating those teams then we are beating others. 1 seed will always be in play brother.
-
Like seeing Fish and Jets be better teams. makes winning the division that much sweeter when the other teams in it are competent.

jimmy spags just blew his load. gonna be stuck to his couch.

Referees need to be fined for inaccuracies and inconsistencies. Simple. These guys are doing a side gig that comes with a lot of perks. NFL Referees Association needs to hold their employees accountable for mistakes.

Week 1 - Cardinals at Bills 1st Half Thread

NFL Referees Association needs to hold their guys accountable for bad and incorrect calls instead of a simple “review” at the end of each week. That penalty on Ingram was so egregious. Literally everything they want both offensive and defensive players to do; slide for safety and pull out of the hit/tackle. Absolute textbook for game safety. fine these referees who make calls that are so visibly wrong. -
How did the Center we drafted play?
