  1. Yep. I truly believe MVP is going to be one of the tightest races yet if the Bills can win out and get the one seed. It will come down to pure stats vs. the obvious factors that made the Bills season tougher than the Chiefs. One would like to think these voters look beyond just passing yards and passing TD's. If they at least consider total yards and total TD's they will realize Mahomes is NOT way ahead Allen or the rest of the field in those categories. So why are we automatically handing a guy the MVP for just being a little bit ahead in the stats? The same guy that loss each of his two biggest games of the year because he didn't make the plays when he needed to and now, he finds himself playing in the wild card round. Current odds for MVP that I see are Mahomes around -500 and Allen and Burrow each around +800. I would expect / hope a Bills victory on Monday night would take those odds to around +200 each for Allen and Mahomes heading into the final week. But that is probably too wishful thinking on my part. Would more likely see them change to around -100 Mahomes and +250 Allen. I am of the opinion that Allen doesn't even need a masterful 3+ TD 0 turnover game. He just needs to get the win really. Maybe at worst have a 1:1 TD to turnover ratio.
  2. Shhhh! They are definitely "not" practicing this week.
  3. I think this is a breakout game for Beasley. It will be his third game since coming back. So he has about 3 full weeks of practice now. Should be in as good a shape as he is going to be from here on out. Bills have used him sparsely in the first two games. I think two targets and two catches? I'm predicting 5+ targets and catches for Beasely this week. Yep. And even though Bills trailed at the half against the Bears, they ultimately went on to hand the Bears their worst loss of the season. Bears have been playing everyone close all season despite their record.
  4. And Reid even had Mike Vick playing at MVP level for half a season too.
  5. And in order they would be: Josh Allen Mahomes Burrow Hurts Mahomes would be a close second. But when is the last time Reid didn't have a QB playing at a high level in his system? Chiefs would at least be a wild card team still without Mahomes in all likelihood.
  6. You are correct. More likely there is a split there.
  7. I know this was posted before this season but still. The gold standard is a team that is 1-5 in their last six games against the Bills and Bengals? Are the Bills and/or Bengals not the gold standard?
  8. True. Wonder where Allen ranked after 2, 3 and 4 seasons. I think of note though is that Allen is currently on a trajectory to score the most total TD's in NFL history right? Of course, a million things can happen along the way but none the less as of right now, he's still on pace to hold the top spot after seasons 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 etc.
  9. You are posting on a site full of fans and this is just one teams message board of fans. There's at least 32 more. Yes, fans care about these trivial things.
  10. okay. But take out Marino and Josh still had the most TD’s among his peers of the last 5, 10, 20 years. Herbert likely will come very close to this record in two years. Burrow will probably be 10-15 or so TDs short.
  11. It would be close either way. Allen missed six games to injury his rookie year. We can play the 'If" game and wonder what Allen would be at if he played those six games. Also, what "if" Mahomes was injured his rookie year assuming he started that season. Then the numbers are close as well. But most of all, look at who was on that Chiefs roster Mahomes rookie season compared to all the guys on the Bills roster in Allen's rookie season who would eventually be out of the league the next season. That's the biggest handicap of all. The stat isn't about being a franchise QB. It's about where he places among the all-time great franchsie QB's. And yes, stats like this along with super bowls and overall post season success will combine to determine his final ranking when all is said and done. I don't see anything wrong with posting this achievement.
  12. Jets: I think the Jets stay put with Mike White. I'm not sure there is anyone out there worth bringing in. The Jets have built a terrific all-around roster that maybe rivals the Bills outside of the QB position. Good they get someone like Derek Carr via Trade? And how much of an upgrade would he be over Mike White? Carr is one of those bi-polar QB's where any week you never really know what you are going to get.
  13. Same. But I don't want to match up with Miami in the first round either. Bills might have the ability to control this week 18 pending what happens next week in the Bengals game. I don't see how the Jets and Dolphins wouldn't be on the same level. It's clear the Pats simply don't have the talent anywhere on either side of the ball to keep it close against the Bills. But the other two teams have talent on one side of the ball each, that has kept both games they have each played against the Bills close.
  14. Disagree. Chubb appears to be a massive mistake. Tyreek, not so much. That's how teams are building these days. Bills with Diggs, Eagels with Brown. Going after #1 WR's in trade. Dolphins appear to be a perennial WC team at worst going forward with Hill and that is all while having a limited QB. At least for the Dolphins they now know for sure they need to move on from Tua. A lot of perennial loser teams would sign up for the playoffs going forward. That's not surprising but also has nothing to do with what Hill has added to that team. They are a 5 or 6 win team without Hills added dimension that pairs with Waddles speed.
  15. The Tyreek trade is a home run. He's totally changed that team by himself. Look at how good he's made that offense with an extremely limited QB in Tua. They get just an above average, top 12-15 talent QB and they can be a real threat. There could be some guys available for them via trade or free agent signings. And still, worst case scenario, with an average to below average QB they do still seem to be at worst a WC team and they certainly have the fire power to pull off one of those Any Given Sunday upsets.
  16. That is interesting. So in this scenario the Bills are locked into the 3 seed essentially and most likely a match up with Baltimore. I see them going 1-1 or even 0-2 to finish the season, giving the Chargers the 5 seed. I rather have the Patriots in the dance if there is a good chance, we would play them. But I rather have the Dolphins in if I am hoping the Dolphins can knock off the Bengals or Chiefs before the Bills have to play one of those two teams.
  17. Or apparently one does. Just look at what the fans at Fin Heaven are saying. Tua can't play consistently well enough beyond his first read. That's a long-term problem in the NFL. Miami is loaded with talent on offense and for the majority of games the Dolphins play Tua can get by against the lesser teams and that likely means a WC for the Fins. But they have no hope of reaching a Super Bowl with a one read QB that can't throw outside the numbers consistently.
  18. Yeah same. And does this mean the Bills will be favored in every game they played this year? I think we were one- or two-point favorites at KC.
  19. The only other thing is which is better in terms of wild card match up? Playing the 6 seed or the 7 seed? I feel like the Chargers are the most dangerous team. They are about to get fully healthy it looks like. While the Bills and Chargers don't have much history, the Chargers always play the Chiefs to a one score game, so they clearly have the talent and ability to knock of the top three teams in the Bills, Chiefs and Bengals. Chargers are currently the six seed but I think they move up to the 5 seed by seasons end. I see the Ravens losing their last two games against the Steelers and Bengals. Would you rather play the Ravens or the Dolphins in the first round? That's a toss-up for me. Probably slight lean to the Ravens. While it would suck to have to play the Bengals on the road in the divisional round in this scenario, this scenario also most likely sends the Chargers to KC in the divisional round. I'd give the Chargers a 50/50 shot in that one. This really is a massive game this week though.
  20. Amazing what the number 17 will do for a player. Hope he keeps it. And hope he keeps the Rams starting job next year. It’s nice to not be envious or sour of other teams QB situations for once.
  21. steelers will win that game for sure though IMO. And that will likely keep their playoff hopes alive going into week 18.
  22. Of the current wild card teams I would maybe prefer Baltimore over Miami. It’s real close though. Would definitely prefer Miami over Chargers though.
  23. They need their QB to be able to make throws beyond his second read which apparently Tua cannot.
  24. This is a terrible Christmas for @FilthyBeast Bills lock up the division title on Christmas Eve and then to rub it in the Dolphins extend their losing streak to 4 games on the back of 3 Tua 4th quarter interceptions.
