Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cam never had the ability to win games consistently with his arm like Allen can. Allen’s had three consecutive seasons before the age of 27 that were all basically as good as Cam’s best season. Allen isn’t Cam and he’s not Big Ben. He has different parts of both and then some others. I wouldn’t bet against Allen being a top 5 QB for the next 5 years. That’s good enough for me. If he wants to hang it up after year 10 no problem. But he will have about 8 consecutive years of top 5 QB play at that point while Newton will have one such year out of his entire 11 year career. -
NFL Week #18 - Around the NFL Saturday edition

only? I think he had even less weeks 1-8. not sure when there bye was but that is a pace of about 28 for a season. Not bad at all when the int pace is 4 for a season. -
If Tua isn’t back then sign me up for Miami. I think he will be back though.
-
I agree just giving you the one reason to consider it. I really don’t want anything to do with Miami in the wild card if Tua is playing. Patriots would be a dream scenario.
-
you are correct. Likely cincy would win. however I think I would still prefer a date with Baltimore over Miami in that scenario as well. Assuming Tua is playing for Miami. Just too much speed at wr and rb on that Miami team. But that is a close one because I think the Ravens do have the much better defense.

while I agree we need to beat the patriots tomorrow, none of those reasons why we need to beat them has anything to do with our future wild card match up. Because that wild card game is the one and only reason why I would consider resting players. I would rather play the talentless Patriots every time over a team that has proven they can hang with the Bills in the Dolphins.

I like our chances more in KC to be honest. Don’t like the idea of neutral field. that said, no way the Bills don’t play to win tomorrow. More important is not having to play the Bengals in Cincinnati. At this point I fear the devil we don’t know (Bengals and Chargers) more than the devil we know in the Chiefs. Bills have showed repeatedly they can beat the Chiefs. On the other hand, they have no experience against the Bengals and Chiefs.

Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cam was a top QB for one year IMO, his MVP year. Beyond that year he was probably top 15-8 any given year. But Josh has been top 5 three years running now. Cam never had that consistency at that high a level. -
Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen career numbers and averages dwarfs Cam in pretty much every single category. And that doesn't even take into the fact that Allen's first two seasons were by far his worst, while Cam's first two seasons in the league were a couple of his better seasons overall. As Allen continues to play longer his first two seasons hold less weight in his overall numbers. -
Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow

You watch Allen and Mahomes play and you instantly see and know why they are special QB's. You watch Burrow play and you don't know why he is so great but he is. -

Lucky Bastards. -
One Billdo? Come one. I mean i don't expect 100 fans to throw Billdo's on the field. I don't think we have ever seen more than one thrown.

This Chiefs vs. Raiders game has 3 point agonizing Chiefs victory written all over it. I have little doubt the Raiders are going to play their butts off against their rival at home. But the Chiefs have had a horseshoe up their butt ever since the week 2 Chargers game. -
Patriots at Bills 2021 Wild Card (as requested)
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fairly likely scenario except Browns beating Steeers. l wouldn't mind drawing the Steelers either. But they will put a much better fight they did in the game back in week 5 or whatever it was. Especially with Watt back. But I just don't seem them with enough fire power to beat us. -
As long as it only happens once a year at home against the Patriots I'm cool with it.
-
I think the Chargers are molding into one of those teams where we will say there are four top teams in the conference now. Most likely outcome is the Chargers got to KC in the divisional round. KC has had the better of them but i want to say the Chargers have held 4th quarter leads in just about every game the two have played these last couple of years. Chargers can absolutely beat the Chiefs. But definitely the biggest advantage is you only have to beat one great team most years as opposed to two if you are the 2 or 3 seed. But this year, I would say the Chiefs are going to have to also battle it out with 2 great teams.

Updated scenario for scheduling to be voted on Friday

I kind of prefer the bye or homefield scenario over the one the NFL is going with. -

I 100% agree with this. The Bills HAD to beat the Bengals in Cincinatti at some point this season. Either last week or in the playoffs. Now it looks like the Bills will in all likelihood not have to beat the Bengals in Cincinatti. KC would still be the 1 seed unless they lose to the Raiders tomorrow. But putting the Bills at the 3 seed and the Bengals at the 2 seed would have made the msot sense. Then we get the rematch of the game in Cincinatti, the original venue, instead of Buffalo. -

I don't really care for this idea. It's not like it is hard to win in KC. We've "basically" done that three straight times. The killer is not having a bye and having to beat both the Chiefs and Bengals rather than just one of the top 3 teams in the conference. But honestly, the Chargers are pretty darn good too and are just now getting healthy. Chargers could beat any of the top three teams as well. Shouldn't the pending Divisional round game between Buffalo and Cincinatti also be played at a neutral site? Had the Bengals beaten us they would have the tiebreaker over the Bills. -
Still incentive in this scenario, the Bills and Bengals are still battling for the 2 seed. If Buffalo loses to the Patriots, say because they feel it's not worth playing their starters in that game then the Bengals can leap the Bills for the 2 spot do to i believe the common opponents or SOV tie breaker as you point out. The incentive is basically do you want to play the Bills vs. Bengals divisional round rematch on your home field or away? I guess it would help to know who you would be playing in the wild card. If it is the Patriots I would 100% elect to play in the wild card and take homefield. Any other team in contention, then give me the bye and guaranteed win.

Cincy gets just as great a negative outcome as Buffalo, because let's face it, very real chance the Bills were going to lose to the Bengals the other night. So now instead of the Bills / Bengals divisional round rematch being in Cincinatti, it will be in Buffalo. Only other thing that crosses my mind in this likely scenario the NFL will go with is that this means the Bills host the Dolphins in the wild card round. I would think this would be less desirable then playing the Patriots or Ravens in the wild card. The Bills do have the power to eliminate the Dolphins from the playoffs this weekend. That said, if Tua is not playing this week for the Dolphins then I'm not so sure they beat the Jets anyway. I assume the NFL would have to lay it all out before this weekend's games. Just our luck, we would go with this and then the Raiders would beat the Chiefs anyway and the Bills would travel to KC or Cincinnati for the conference championship game.
