  1. Does anyone wonder whether or not Rodgers has ever played with this much stiff competition in the NFC North? Let's face it, all the hype they're getting is basically a lifeline for a dying fanbase, and I will even admit that I feel a bit sorry for them. We gotta remember we were there once before ourselves. I'm not taking anything away from their team this year, in other words I won't be surprised if they do make the playoffs. Anything short of that will suck whatever life is left out of that fanbase and then some. If we do lose, I just hope it won't be a blow out. But as many others have pointed out, if we do win, it'll add more pressure for every game the rest of the year. Just End The Season may come sooner than previous years
  2. Armstead is a LT, it's the RT that protects Tua's blindside since he throws left handed. It's still a huge blow since he's probably their best OL
  3. Just throwing this out there, but the Jets just released Streveler. I've only seen him play once against the Jags and he looked decent at times. He has some scramble ability and is pretty young EDIT: Never mind, dude apparently had a terrible outing against Cleveland and got hurt, scratch that
  4. Tim Tindale and his long run for a TD against Washington in Rich Stadium
  5. Josh is gonna be Josh, and I know none of us want to see him battered but he's not gonna change. His competitive nature is too strong to even compromise any change. If anyone hopes he changes, it's the LBs and DBs he's already faced, especially the ones he's hurdled
  6. I would go as far as to say the Jets given what they gave up for Rodgers. They're far more on borrowed time than anyone else since Rodgers will only play 2 years tops
  7. This is exactly what I was thinking, this rule change makes very little sense. I don't think it'll effect Allen as much as it will Lamar Jackson
  8. The funny part about the bolded is Cowherd has a new sidekick that's a huge Jets homer that recently said the Bills were the team with the most pressure this year. Then about a week later he backtracked his statement by saying he didn't account for everything the Bills went through last year with Allen and his elbow injury, having to play multiple games with short rest primarily because of that massive snow storm, the Damar Hamlin incident etc. As a lot of people pointed out, Cowherd didn't mention the additions to the OL the Bills did make. But honestly, who could the Bills have signed that would have made an impact on the OL without completely wrecking our salary cap? I wouldn't call Cowherd an idiot, but he's not doing his due diligence either
  9. He's already dumped
  10. Agree with all points here, we have the backs, we just need better O line play. Hopefully with the new additions at guard, we get a boost in both the running (by the RBs) and passing. I'm on the fence myself on Hopkins, if we get him, it'll make for an interesting combo with Diggs. But if we don't, I won't be disappointed. To me, there were no excuses for last year's playoff debacle. If we do plan on having a more "aggressive" defense and it pays dividends, it should be a good year. Perhaps Frazier played a bit more passively to keep our defense as fresh as possible. Idk how much Hopkins has left, but Kincaid may end up as good if not better than him.
  11. Compared to Zach Wilson, yeah Rodgers is the end all be all. Doesn't necessarily mean the Jets should be crowned of anything tho. This being week 1, the advantage goes to the Bills. You say you're being realistic but how can you be realistic when you haven't seen Rodgers play a down for the Jets? Assumption doesn't translate to reality, and up to this point, all you're doing is assuming the Bills won't beat the Jets because Wilson won't be under center. It's a new year and Rodgers plays in the tougher of both conferences
  12. Given Wilson's numbers in that game, I don't think it mattered who was at QB that day, the Bills were as flat as they could get
  13. I agree with the bolded part. If you were to put Tua on any other team, he'd be nothing more than average. But his durability issues will always hold him back, and how the Dolphins didn't invest more in OL in both the draft and free agency completely baffles me.
  14. Shakir did pretty well last year as a rookie and that gives him leg up on Kincaid, it wouldn't be that surprising if he ups his game this year
  15. Not really concerned about Rodgers with the Jets. One thing to remember is that Rodgers has had the benefit of playing in a weak division for a long time. This division minus New England is probably the most competitive division he's played in in years. If there are those that think he didn't drop off last season or that it don't matter? Just because Brady played well in his 40s doesn't mean Rodgers will duplicate that same success. And for those that are putting the Jets defense on a pedestal, Quinnen Williams is pounding the table for more money and is already threatening to hold out. And he's their biggest playmaker on the D line. I may sound homerish but there is merit to all of this. For what the Jets gave up to get Rodgers, they better be SB contenders right off the bat and I'm just not seeing it. Because once Rodgers is gone, they're gonna end up right back where they started, QB purgatory. Either that or they'll go the way of Indy and just sign has beens and go back to 4-13 seasons
  16. I'd have to say yes to this, especially if Hopkins is willing to work with a team to ease any cap issues.
  17. I think this guy is a closet Bills fan, but he's very good at breaking down everything, very objective. It's sometimes hard to believe he's a Dolphins fan
  18. I lived in that area a long time ago, very nice area that is. Lived in a little spot called Arcadia
  19. Ugh Spam = Sh*t Posing As Meat. Grew up watching it plop in to a bowl, no thanks today. As for the topic, I wouldn't be opposed to signing Henry, and also Damien Harris if Henry is a no go
  20. For what the guy has done in his career, he's about as humble a person as he can be. Hate the team he plays on, but he is a total class act. Won't object to trading for him if the price is right as long as it doesn't involve blowing up our draft. The Titans would probably pull the trigger on a trade, Jeffrey Simmons is gonna want to get paid soon so trading Henry makes sense
  21. They don't have any trade assets at all outside of tearing down their own team. Their FO made some horrible trade decisions, namely the trade for Chubb
  22. Flipping through all these posts and still no sign of FilthyBeast? As far as the game goes, Mostert is a bigger problem than Hill if our last game was any indication
  23. In other words, we need Schwartz back
  24. I'm not ready to give up on Davis yet, I agree with the rotation with Brown however. What Davis did last year can't be dismissed just like that, I'm willing to see how he does in the playoffs
