Mic'd Up: Zay Jones vs. the Dolphins
TPS replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He needs to come up with more than "Aaaahhhhhhhh....Let's Go!" In his celebration repertoire... -
Agreed. Now go get Josh some similar weapons at WR....

Yep, 7-9 looks right.

26 Posted this stat earlier in the week and it should be pinned for the Allen critics.

This team needs help on the Oline in the worst way. #1 priority next year as well as finding a true #1 WR to complement Zay and Foster. Paradis would be my #FA target.

Yes, Oligopoly is the natural outgrowth of capitalism, we agree. I guarantee you that antitrust policy is what prevents it from becoming an observed "rule of 2". Anti-trust regulation was established to protect small business from the power of concentrated capital, not the consumer. The Economics and Law movement is a Trojan Horse used to support economic concentration by arguing bigness helps the consumer. It's Horseshit. It's real easy to find a hired economic gun to say that a merger will lead to greater consumer welfare over time when in fact the opposite occurs in the long run. I'm amazed at how easy it is to sway the average Joe to support economic concentration and economic power. Gee, it's just the free market at work. And free means freedom...it's those damn liberals who are ruining America..... We're at a stage now where large corporations generate so much profit they can't find productive outlets because of weak demand overall--AND, as Tasker and I agree on, they are the ones that help write the regulations that protect themselves from competition. With so much profit and no outlet, we see more and more M&As and buybacks. It's the reason corporate tax cuts haven't led to your so-called "real" economic growth. Rant over.

Higher US interest rates relative to foreign rates does that.

Other Allen throw to Foster that was better than TD bomb (GIF)

Hadn't that last part--even more impressive! -
Other Allen throw to Foster that was better than TD bomb (GIF)

I thought the fact Foster held onto it after the hit was more impressive. The slo-mo doesn't do it justice. -
Looks like that is the FED's plan or lack thereof... https://www.wsj.com/articles/fed-minutes-signal-december-rate-rise-likely-but-less-certain-path-next-year-1543518153

Corporations became large before they used regulations to stymie competition. Once huge companies become the norm, economic power begets political power. The Robber Barons owned politicians much like corporate lobbying does today. In fact, last century large capitalists banded together with the largest financiers to ensure their competitive positions--it was a mutually beneficial relationship: If you control credit, then you control market entry and competition. It had nothing to do with government... I'm sure the "rule of 3" had nothing to do with anti-trust policy....which seems to no longer be in existence...

Or the motto of a good segment of TSW posters...

Everyone is a bust until they're not...

That belief completely ignores the nature of production and capitalism. Economic concentration occurs as production becomes more capital intensive from technological change. The more capital intensive production, the break even point occurs at higher and higher levels of production. In most industries, technological change leads to handful of firms in the market. Related to this, big capitalist hate competition--they want to control their prices because Price competition is too destructive. Mergers to reduce competition eventually lead to a situation where one or two firms dominate the industry. That is the natural result of "free market capitalism." Sometimes a new technology will disrupt an industry, but eventually it will end up as a non-competitive market again. And those big capitalists do a great job of convincing the populace that the "free market" system still exists...

Bills vs. Jaguars All-22 Coaches Film Reviews

Seems this should have its own thread, but maybe I missed it. One throw doesn’t make a player, but it sure gives you hope. -
Kyle Williams & Lorenzo Alexanders Future ?

If the Bills end up winning 6 of the last 7 games (or all!), that will give both an incentive to return and "finish the job." -
Week 13: Dolphins Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
TPS replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks, that's the most telling stat I've seen all year. -
It will take a few years before we know this, but it may also be the case that the argument is similar to who is the best of Kelly, Marino, and Elway...

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - “Get Aboard the Josh Allen Train”
TPS replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was at the game and said to my buddy--"it looks like the Bills have found their franchise QB." With this D, the Bills need an offense that can score 24 ppg, and Allen can do that with the current group. I don't see any reason why they can't run the table (yes, even in New England!), but in the modern NFL, that's a tough task. -
I've certainly quoted Parcells about this, but you are right. The game has changed, with solid pass-rushers coming from both sides as well as in the middle. If DT is becoming a more important position, then the middle of the O-line must become as important.

The last time I saw the Bills-Jags was 20 years ago when Flutie pulled off a last second TD. Allen didn’t need last minute heroics, but I think this is his and the team’s turning point as well. Fun game to experience.
