I’m not looking for more battles to fight, and if it helps poor @HOUSE see a game or two, it seems worth it to me. You can invite him to YOUR place. Problem solved.

Mentality first. Years ago in Florida I played tennis with a prominent judge. He was about 6’4” and fit looking, I knew that. I had him like, 4-1 in the first set, and 5-2 in the second. He had a gear I did not possess, and won both. Most of it was mental, and he’s not the only person I’ve known with that gear that just doesn’t lose. I later learned he had the highest PPG average in University of Florida basketball history. I looked up to him before we played, and I respected him more after. Now to skill: Some people are just……….different. I thought I was a decent tennis player, until I played the guy who played Lendl and Connors at the US OPEN. There is always another level. Those guys seem to defy the laws of physics. Awesome experience!

Have you ever been hijacked before? My sister went on a cruise around the Greek islands and were warned about pirates being a very real threat in some areas. Ahh, one more thing the Greek Isles and TwoBillsDrive have in common.

I’ll cook sometimes just to burn some nervous energy, but then I’m often not hungry enough to eat it. I know it’s silly, but I can get a little anxious. I enjoy cooking for others, but if you are not there 100% focused on the Bills and the game, then you will begin to feel unwelcome. I’m not very subtle that way on game days. But I AM self-aware! I have been known to make beef on weck and grill some wings and carry it up the street to a neighbor from WNY. She STILL talks about those wings! It will probably just be whatever I can find at Wegman’s for the home opener. I’ll do nachos at home a lot because it’s easy and simple to pick at. EDIT: To say I am not subtle if you are not there for the game is an understatement. It’s well known in the neighborhood, if my flag is flying, come focused or don’t come. This makes me feel worse about myself! 😂 But the people who bought our old house 4 doors up the street did get a giant Bills flag. They said the house needed that to stay healthy. .

The only time I have a soda as an adult is if I have pizza or wings at lunch to go with it. That is a childhood pairing that stuck, I guess. Maybe a Diet Mt Dew if I’m driving long distance, then I arrive with the shakes and need wine to calm me.

Maybe it could be worth it, on some kind of PPV. Who wouldn’t pay a few bucks for those chuckles?

It’s all good, until Judge Wapner is about to come on.

I’d give you a 13 second head start, and put my money on him.

In one elevator? Maybe a kindergarten class, but NOT 15 full size NFL players! We have actually taken photos of elevators in Europe barely big enough for me, my wife and a suitcase with signs saying 9 people maximum. You’d have to put them thru a woodchipper to get 9 people in there!

I hope you’ve been stretching! How many snaps did Josh get this preseason? He ran once, slid, and they packed him in bubble wrap. They can’t cut a preseason game (or three) fast enough. At least an 18th game counts for something.

If they are 3rd and 4th string guys, there will be no need to trade for them. They will be cut or can be plucked off of a PS, right? I’m not sure what happened to Trubisky, but we had better hope Josh stays healthy.

It’s preseason. By the playoffs they will be holding like Champs again, and getting away with it. That’s why we wanted a guy like Coleman over a guy like Worthy.

Belichick was a great DEFENSIVE coach, and of course a lousy GM. A quick search of his record without Brady found this: Belichick has just two playoff appearances in the 10 full years without Brady (counting 2008 since Brady was injured in the first game of the year). I know a lot of people like to wait until the last minute hoping to get the best possible deal. Personally, by the time I’ve paid for airfare, a car rental and a hotel for a few nights, I like to have my tickets nailed down. For under a hundred dollars I’d just ***** them up and move on with one less thing to worry about. Enjoy!

I think that was the one we went to in the late 70’s/early 80’s. I think it was near The Library bar by the UB campus, and we would stumble in very late. Instead of getting in line to order, my friends would go straight to the pickup line and grab the first order that sounded good that was ordered and paid for by someone even less alert than we were. Never had a problem with those shenanigans in the wee hours. .
